“I chose this shop because of all the great reviews, and I'm glad I did.
I was rebuilding a 1998 Toyota 4Runner I had just bought that wouldn't shift, so I removed the transmission and brought it to them. Once they opened it up, they found the internals were badly worn and there were signs it may have been submerged in water at some point. It ended up needing a full rebuild.
They were very knowledgeable and upfront with me about what they found, what needed to be done, and how long it would take. I also appreciated that they use genuine parts.
They also took the time to explain what I needed to do when I got the transmission back, including preparing it for installation and filling it properly.
It's been back in the 4Runner for a couple of months now with over 1k miles on it, and it's shifting and running like new.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good transmission shop.”

Can’t say enough good things about Frank’s. They completely rehabilitated my Carrera and transformed it from a collector’s car with many issues into a wonderful driver’s car with lots of practical upgrades. “Very nice staff explained process of putting my part in that I provided but if it doesn't solve the crank no start issue I will need to pay for a diagnostic test. I called yesterday and was able to set up a date for today to work on my car. AAA towed it here. Fingers crossed the crank shaft position sensor replacement fixes it.”
