“I've taken three of my trucks here on many different occasions for oil , brake changes, and suspension. It's affordable, and quick. I've not had any issues with mons. He's super busy so I usually call him the day before needing to take it in. I also personally don't blame them on the homeless situation because that's the Salinas city's/Monterey county's issue. Anyways, if you want someone who isn't going to charge you an arm and a leg, and does great work, I recommend Mons!”

“We had a DMV driving test on 08/15 Monday at 11AM in Salinas. We had never been to that area so we arrived at DMV one hour before the appointment. My daughter wanted to drive around at the neighborhood but unfortunately when she tried to enter a building complex parking lot, she hit the right mirror. The mirror right away came out. What a nightmare! We found “ Body Shop by Gene Cochetti” on line. After we arrived at the shop,we met David.He was amazing! After I told him what happened and when the appointment was, he immediately started to work on it. Since we were running put of time,he used glue to stabilize the mirror,then his teammate used tape to secure the mirror also told us make sure to take it off before we walk in the DMV. The mirror stayed secure on our way back to the DMV, and my daughter passed her driving test! She couldn’t have this done without their huge help! They saved our day! It was 10:45 AM when we checked in with DMV. What an amazing experience at this shop! Thank you Team for being here for us! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

“I've got a huge story about my experience with this guy. Long story short, he is the best ! I brought my 3 year old and grandma camping to see some ocean (5 hours away from home). My car died right when we got to the campsite which was on the top of a mountain! Fremont peak state park is literally on a peak. The scariest thing ever when your breaks stop working surrounded by cliffs on all sides. After freaking out and deciding to stay the night ( without power and all the shops were closed) I immediately starting calling mechanics and tow truck at first light. The tow truck said it would tow us 100 miles then
The rest of the miles would cost us a whopping 2000$$$ . No mechanics picked up the phone. Except Chavez!!!! He said he could come to us or we could meet him at the parts store to save money, so we used our tow to do just that! We were worried a tow truck wouldnt make it up the narrow, winedy, mountainous road (especially in the dark the night before), they were able to make it but if they hadn't been, Chavez would have made the drive to us! Once the tow truck dropped us off, He was so helpful about what to do with ourselves in the area while he worked on our vehicle. Right after he opened the hood he pointed out things that were broken and showed me how they were broken and what it was doing to my engine. He gave me the options on 3 alternators avaliable so I went with the middle priced option. A refurbished lifetime warranty alternator, along with a new battery and an air intake thingy. After paying a VERY reasonable price, we began driving towards the ocean. I was determined to get my toes in the sand. Then my battery light started flashing at me! We called Chavez and pulled over. He came and met us where we were!!! He test drove our car until the light came on so he could properly test what it was trying to convey!!!! The test showed the alternator was faulty!!!! We had to go back to the parts store so he could take the new faulty alternator out and get the better (brand new and highest priced option) alternator. If I had just spent the extra dollars to get the brand new alternator this would have never happened and I felt awful about it! After installing the new new alternator, He then ran the same tests PLUS he test drove our car to make SURE it was good for us!!! He showed us good places to eat and a park where my kid could play! The light did not come back on! Me and grandma and my 3 year old were very worn out by that time and had zero energy for anything ?. Chavez should have charged us wayyyyyy more for all his time that he put into our car and into making sure we would not break down again SOOO far away from home! I can't tell you enough how fair, knowledgeable, helpful, and truly a lifesaver Chavez is! I thought we were going to die on that mountain and at the end of the day Chavez saved us!!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you! He is the ONLY mechanic you should consider !!”

I needed to replace my alternator and get to Socal for work the day before Mother’s Day but after calling the local shops they said it would be an overnight repair (2014 Toyota Siena so understandable being a van).
I got on the line with Mobile Auto Repair and my man Agustin came to the house and replaced the entire alternator in 2 and a half hours flat AND ended up being a cheaper alternative than taking it into a local shop.
Highly recommend these guys if you need a quick and easy fix!”
