I was like a kid in a candy shop - it was beautiful and so well designed! I want to give a special shoutout to Cedric for going above and beyond! He gave us a proper tour of the store, provided excellent advice for designing our new apartment, and helped us purchase two more kitchen chairs that matched our other Scandinavian Designs chairs at home. Once they arrived during the week, he really went out of his way to help us accept delivery. Cedric is the best - he made our trip so memorable and because of him, we will keep coming back! “I needed to replace welting on some slipcovers and was told that it would take 2 weeks, which was fine with me. Well, I got an email 3 days later saying that it was ready! They did a perfect job and the price was quite reasonable. Furthermore, they did more on the slipcovers than I had asked for and did not even increase the quoted price. They obviously saw what would be an improvement and just did it! I will bring any upholstery job to them in the future. It is such a pleasure to work with a business that provides both quality and value for their work and really cares about the service they provide!”

“I've been remiss in not writing about Madera Furniture. Several years ago, Dean (the owner) built us several recycled redwood Adirondack chairs, and repaired/rebuilt an antique bed for us. The chairs anchor our porch and still look beautiful--I sit in one of them almost every day, for six or seven months out of the year--and the bed hosts our guests gracefully. Prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality, and Dean was a pleasure to deal with. He's a true local artisan.”

“I recently purchased a Florentine Bistro dining table with 4 chairs as well as two Florentine benches and a side table. They are beautiful, well built, withstand the rain and are light weight yet consequential. Because they are the same make and style, the pieces fit on my deck and serve to unify the space. I could not be more pleased. Best of all, Steven and his son Dom could not have been better to deal with throughout the process. They hand delivered everything and worked closely with me to assure I was happy. “There is a wide variety of different goods including groceries. Way too many people complaining about the store and employees. They are hard workers and not relying on the government for money. Just about every store in Marin needs workers. People on Nextdoor are always complaining about stores not having enough workers. As the cost of living here is ridiculous so it's hard to find workers. Be kind to the workers and if you can't do that, then shop online.”
“I was long overdue for a new mattress, so went to Mary's because of it's reputation for honest dealing and fair prices. I met with Leslie there, and she guided me through the choice of a new mattress (not futon, which I was considering). It's been almost a month and I couldn't be happier with the mattress. Which, after some later looking, cost about 1/5 what many queen mattresses are selling for.”
