“The Davis Foot Comfort Center gave me back the ability to walk and hike without pain. Arnie's knowledge of foot biomechanics allowed him to diagnose and correct my foot problems, saving me from surgery.”
“Jam-packed! Went there for a swimsuit but must've missed the deadline cuz the options were scant. Picked up an arm load of other things tho! Wish it were better organized, check-out staff very nice.”
“The best!!!! So grateful I found these folks. I'm in Petaluma where the shoe repair people are mean lol. The people at Joseph's are wonderful, kind people who do amazing work. Thank you so much!!!!”

“Marín Square a store center like Ross, subway, Mexican Taqueria, a Grocery store. And the one I attend most often is the aesthetics, the only one that is within the area next to a dry cleaner.”
“I adore the oldtimers at Marelli Brothers Shoe Repairing [sic] in San Rafael. I occasionally called this 104 year-old business, which is still owned and operated by the family, and say, “Hey, can you do this random leather work thing for me?” And they say, “We don’t really do that.” And then I say, “Yeah, but will you?” And they say, “Sure, 10 bucks.”
It takes a while to place an order because every single one of them is deaf as shit and there is loud machinery going, and they are guaranteed to lose your item at some point in the process. What they lack in efficient streamlined soullessness, they make up for in inefficient, turbulent soulfulness. Quality work, unreasonably low cost, and character to boot. Keep this place alive as a favor to me, pls and thanks.
12/10, would recommend a friend
One or two of the guys just retired so if you talk them out of their stated policy of not accepting random projects like mine, expect delays. And celebrate them. Because these folks are doing god’s work out here and are the real deal.
I have no idea how they survive in Marin. A lady who’s appearance I will decline to describe because I don’t want to be misinterpreted as misogynistic (but I will describe her as well-monied and disrespectful of the working class that keeps her lifestyle comfortable) came in, was very snipey, and could hardly believe that her purse wasn’t ready yet. Take a chill pill, lady, you could no doubt pay a year or three’s worth of my rent if you sold all your other perfectly serviceable purses on the secondhand market.”
“This is the cutest place and everything is adorable! They have great clothing brands including shoes and accessories! I was in consigning some things today and walked out with two great pieces! Highly recommend and they are very friendly!”
“I went to the store in Corte Madera and have also gone to the one in San Rafael. These stores are primarily staffed by very young people, mostly males. They are consistently polite, helpful and Always make themselves available to help customers! They're terrific. Must mean there are good managers at these stores and good training of staff. The stores also are very well stocked. They always have any athletic-related item I'm looking for, from beach balls to shoe laces to badminton or bocce ball sets and on and on. It's amazing. Thank you, Big 5!!”

“Love this store. Was impressed by the variety. Found a pair of socks "Husky". Will have to order the men's size as the one I purchased did not fit... was too small. The knowledge the owner had was amazing. Excellent customer service. Today I received a call from Aness and very impressed. She is ordering the socks I wanted to order for my friend. TYTYTY”
“This store in particular has an amazing running community. Check out their Saturday morning runs at 8am. If you haven't tried mountain running, you should. I'm someone who liked skiing a lot growing up. I like Tahoe but it's a lot of work going back and forth. But being able to run in Marin, see the views, when it's warm, and then just go home, shower, and take a nap. It's a gem, amazing, and free. It's such a privilege if you live close enough take advantage of it. If you're interested, go to SFRC and get some trail shoes.”
“Greeted by a very friendly lady, who was very helpful and fun to talk to. I found an amazing pair of shoes that are so comfortable and perfect for walking around Sausalito. Loved the leather coats and many of the beautiful shoes! Lovely!”

“I love to shop here! Very very cute things and the customer service is great. There is a Tesla charging station in back of the store. I can charge up while I shop. I love it!”
“I walked in here today to buy a pair of running shoes for my hoped for marathon adventure next December. Owner, Peter, helped me and he immediately and correctly assessed what I needed, especially after looking at my flat feet. Been decades since I’ve run a marathon so I’ve got a bunch of work to do and I am so looking forward to it. I was so delighted to find this established, “old-school“ running shoe store that not only had the amazing selection of shoes, but the experienced staff of athletes to advise me.Feeling great today now that I came home with the “right” shoes and advice.”
“As a child I remember having shoes repaired by the local cobbler. The minute you walk in you smell leather, and the faint hint of glue. It was so refreshing. Harry is a special soul. He and him entire family are loved by the community and friends because they are old school real. Honest business, honest prices, quality work, all with a smile on their faces. Looking for comfortable Birks or sandals? Wondering of an old craftsman like Harry knows his job. Stop wondering. He is the last of a disappearing breed of cobblers. When was the last time you used that word? I have complete faith in his work. He also does leather repair work like he's doing to my belts to resize them because of weight loss. I live across the bay, but we will shop here 1st when it's possible. We are longtime customers and will remail so.”
“I really appreciate the Madewell store in Corte madera. Absolutely great customer service. Lots of inventory. If they don't have your size, they'll order it for you. Great sales people!”
“At Designer Shoe Warehouse, it's like being welcomed into a haven for the soles! The assortment is vast, offering a plethora of options that would make any foot leap with joy. From renowned brands like Nike to stylish picks from Steve Madden, there's something for every foot preference.
While the price comparison with direct retailers remains a bit of a mystery, the clearance racks tucked away in the depths often unveil hidden treasures at wallet-friendly prices.
A particularly thoughtful touch is the provision of temporary socks. For those who venture in sans socks (we've all done it), worry not! You can still slip into those fabulous shoes without any awkward barefoot moments. Overall, Designer Shoe Warehouse earns a resounding five-star rating from this satisfied patron!”
“I recently visited the Birkenstock store at the Marin Market location to purchase a pair of shoes for my girlfriend, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Georgia assisted me during my visit, and she was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to guide me through the different options and even helped me select the right replacement insoles for myself, making the process smooth and stress-free.
What stood out most was Georgia’s friendliness and deep knowledge of the products—she struck the perfect balance of being professional, approachable, and genuinely helpful. I was so impressed with the service that after completing my first purchase, I returned just a few minutes later to buy a new pair for myself.
It’s rare to find this level of care and customer service in retail these days. Georgia made the experience truly memorable, and I left not only with great shoes but also with the confidence that I had been taken care of by someone who really knows and loves what they do. This is a fantastic store, and if you visit, I highly recommend asking for Georgia—she will make sure you have an exceptional experience”
“I absolutely love this store! The sales associates are always so friendly and they never pressure. They helped me style several outfits for fall/winter occasions and I received so many compliments!”
“Simply the best!!! Only thing, I think the girls working there need to be trained on customer service.. Although they are young that is no excuse..they don't smile..they walk right pass you...they barely speak hello..they act like you're not there until you are ready to check out...they asked for the job. Show a little appreciation to the customer paying $$$$$ for the company's clothes...the girl that checked me out said, "you ready?" ...hmmm..I almost changed my mind but I loved the suede hip bag...”
“Citrine is more than a boutique; it's a true experience! Expertly curated clothes, crystals and classes feed the soul and bring a much needed hybrid respite to our community. Thank you, Karen!”
