“Bought some original painting and needed some help to stretch out the artwork. Brought the painting over. They checked in and cleared on a couple of expectations and get to work. I paid half of the work upfront. My painting was ready within the timeline they quoted. They helped me load the painting into my trunk, so there was no damage! I paid and left happy! There are plenty of parking on the street and behind the building (2 parking lots). I did some price checks at a couple of places and found them to be very reasonable. I would definitely come back!”

“The (non Profit) Society of West-Coast Artists is a thriving art society that started in 1939. Its a great group for artists and art admirers. There are free demos with top artists that are open to members and non members alike. The demos are a preview of what will be taught in a weekend workshop.Their highly respected annual show awards thousands of dollars to the first place winners.”

“An excellent source for graphic novels for school age kids, especially if you want more diversity than the typical marvel or DC approach. When I found out my 1st grader was trans, this store helped me find age appropriate books that they could see themselves in. And they in turn learned stories about brown kids, black kids, and immigrants from other graphic novels there that I would never have known existed. Staff are excellent and know their stock.”

The studio is very beautiful, and all of the instructors are very knowledgeable on various ceramic techniques and the studio puts a lot of emphasis on sustainability and environmental awareness when working with the clay.”

They just moved to a new, bigger, warmer location, and now I'm enjoying it more than ever. “We asked Andra Norris Gallery to use their space for a cocktail party. They were quick to respond, send over an invoice, and make sure we were set up and ready to go. Once we arrived, Andra and her staff offered to help us get set up and graciously offered their trash cans - this was not their first event. They had music playing and the space created a wonderful ambiance. Guests were so happy to be in the space and it uplifted the whole energy of the event. Amazing staff, art, and space and incredibly affordable. Thank you to Andra and her staff for a wondering evening!”

“Be sure to stop by Lola's next time you are in Noe. She has the nicest selection of gifts, clothing and accessories. I just got a beautiful coral scarf here for a trip yesterday and can't wait to wear it! Have also purchased a wide variety of other items here over the last few years such as gloves, hair clips, aprons, kitchen towels and more. I always enjoy great quality and service from Lola and her lovely team. Don't forget to ask about her custom clothing as well -- such a talented seamstress and artist!”

“This is a cool and trendy place to get wine and drinks. It's kind of a comfortable place that is like a lounge and it is more quiet and cozy then loud. It can accommodate late groups or it is good to go out with friends or on a date. I went with some girl friends and we all got a glass of wine. The ambience here is dimly lit and the service is good.”

“This is a sweet gallery in the Sunset that shows a variety of work, including work of emerging artists. The artwork is affordable for the average buyer and great for those who appreciate original art. Gallery owner is charming and knowledgeable, and also an artist. Openings are upbeat and fun, not at all stuffy.”

“We went here looking for a gift. After the holiday seal there was only just a little bit left but all of it was really nice. I had never been here before about one of those pleasantly surprised because it is very close to home. The person who greeted us was really cheerful and helpful and explaining how the studio is set up and help buying from the sale helps support the artist's directly. And they have other sales at other times of the year that also support the studio. Lots of really talented artists and I ended up buying a gift for a friend that was really cute.”

“We went to a variety of the galleries in this building where there are many galleries specializing in different types of art. What a great way to see what is going on in contemporary art right now! They have two other buildings on the same street. So we didn't even get to see all of the first building in the 90 minutes we were there let alone the other two buildings. You could probably spend the whole day exploring all the art.”

“Great art gallery located on a corner in the mission. The top level is bright with a lot of natural light shining through the windows. Lots of art that I had never seen before and I found to be really exquisite. They have a downstairs basement level with additional art pieces and ones that you could browse through wrapped individually. Recognized one artist where I had seen their work in DTLA before and it was nice to see their work on other formats. Would recommend dropping in if you enjoy admiring art. :] guy on staff was also really kind. I would say that there are some affordable pieces here and interesting perspectives.”

“We were gifted a pottery session with Marieke for our anniversary and had a blast! Her studio is an easy BART ride from our home in the East Bay. All attendees were beginners, like us. Marieke began with a brief history of her home, as well as of her basement studio and the mystery of the "X?X" club that used to meet there. She demonstrated how to use the pottery wheel, and we dove in! Everything we needed was already provided for us, and Marieke was attentive to our needs. She was extremely patient in offering advice and stepping in, if desired. My husband and I each made two pieces and selected the glaze for each one. We are excited that we will be returning to the studio in a few weeks to pick up the finished products. Marieke was very organized and professional in her approach to her business. (Oh, and the bonus is being in the vibrant Mission District, with no shortage of things to see and places to eat!) Highest recommendations!”

“Beautiful neighborhood art gallery that’s been going for decades. They mostly show paintings but there’s a wide variety of work. It’s available for rental for events and includes lots of permanent murals inside and out in the brick backyard. Classic San Francisco gem.”

“I love this gallery! An intimate experience of local Bay Area artists with a lot of variety in style. I also had a wonderful experience of hosting a summer solstice event here that had a great turnout, offering a tea ceremony and somatic movement session. The space is very eclectic so it is ideal to revisit many times and see it transform depending on the show or event.”

“I've come in here twice and the owner is super nice and informative. If you're looking for lots of baby tropical plants at a fair price she has a ton of them. Her selection beyond that is also great and the vibe is also really cozy. If you like plants and or are interested, definitely worth the drive if you're in SF/Peninsula :)”

“This is hands down one of the best vintage stores! The owner is super knowledgeable. I purchased an Eames fiberglass chair shell without a base three months ago. I asked the owner if he can help me find a paring base. Now at the first week of the new year the owner found a perfect matching base for the shell and reached out to me. I feel so lucky to have discovered this shop?”
