“The (non Profit) Society of West-Coast Artists is a thriving art society that started in 1939. Its a great group for artists and art admirers. There are free demos with top artists that are open to members and non members alike. The demos are a preview of what will be taught in a weekend workshop.Their highly respected annual show awards thousands of dollars to the first place winners.”

“A small but mighty community giving life to printed materials and books. They give classes on printing and binding using cool equipment and tools from a bygone era. Keeping printing and book binding alive is no small effort in our high tech world. The tools here are low tech and high craft. Watch your fingers on this paper cutter! Well worth a visit.”

“Redwood Clay House is a studio for anyone seeking a clean, calm, and welcoming place to work with clay, and an especially great fit for beginners. The space is well stocked with tools and glazes, making it easy to get started without a big upfront investment. There are wheels at multiple heights (standing wheels included!) and plenty of tables for hand building and glazing. The hours are generous too: 8:00 AM–10:00 PM.
The studio offers both throwing and hand building classes for beginners, plus weekly office hours for members where staff are on hand for demos, knowledge sharing, and troubleshooting. I started here in August 2025 as a newbie and found plenty of occasions to learn!
What consistently impresses me most is the cleanliness: the team is genuinely attentive to maintaining good indoor air quality, which is a big deal for me.
If I had to find one area for improvement, it would be expanding the glaze selection. Currently there are 20 brush-on glazes, mostly in white, blue, green, and brown hues, along with 4 dipping glazes. A wider range of colors would be a welcome addition.”
“Lola’s colourful shop window attracted my attention and I went in and discovered that there are some beautiful hand made clothes. Made by Lola. Unique designs and quality fabrics. Lola is so welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend a visit to her store. You can also find plenty of gift ideas.”
“Marge has retired and closed her shop. However, I spoke to her today and she confirmed that she has sold the business to her relatives.

“This past Saturday I stopped by Studio Shop Gallery, I was in the area and and notice some paintings that caught my eye so I went back to view them.
Upon entering I was greeted by Monica and we talked about why I came in, and she explained to me the current exhibit was works by Roland Petersen who I found out is friends with one of my favorite painters Wayne Thiebaud. Roland is also 100 years old and still painting amazing works to date. I’m no art buff, but when I see something I like I go and view it. It was really cool to see these paintings in this space and the fact that it’s free and for the public to view is wonderful.
I also spoke with Stephanie the gallery director and owner and she told me that exhibits change every 4-6 weeks and I was surprised to learn that this place has been in business for 110 years in Burlingame and the oldest retail business as well, and family owned. I inquired about a couple pieces I saw by the artist Jung Han Kim and Stephanie filled me in on the artist and how he comes up with his creations.
If you’re a fan of any type of art form or seeking inspiration to create something, stop by Studio Shop Gallery in Burlingame on Primrose rd and check out the exhibits that are on display. It’s pretty damn awesome that we have a gallery like this on the peninsula that welcomes everybody inside to view it. Thank you Stephanie and Monica for talking with me about art and also taking the time to explain things to me as well about Roland and Jung. People like you two are the reasons why I will support the business and spread the word of Studio Shop Gallery.”

“We asked Andra Norris Gallery to use their space for a cocktail party. They were quick to respond, send over an invoice, and make sure we were set up and ready to go. Once we arrived, Andra and her staff offered to help us get set up and graciously offered their trash cans - this was not their first event. They had music playing and the space created a wonderful ambiance. Guests were so happy to be in the space and it uplifted the whole energy of the event. Amazing staff, art, and space and incredibly affordable. Thank you to Andra and her staff for a wondering evening!”

“I had seen this place as existing in Pacifica. I hadn’t stopped by before two years ago. It was a little bit hidden away, so my experience going in was a bit of a surprise. I just assumed it would be a small shop with not that much inventory. But when I walk inside, I felt like I was in the end scene from the first Indiana Jones movie when he’s in a warehouse full of government treasures. This collection is awesome. And well curated. And well organized. Agreed that there isnt a large place to sit in a relaxed fashion and look at everything, but there’s nothing that the amazing staff is not aware of, and they can help find it. I love this place and have been back a few times. I realize now that maybe I shouldn’t even write this review and I should keep it a secret.”

“I had a wonderful experience at San Francisco Women Artists Gallery in the Inner Sunset. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, they really make you feel comfortable taking your time and exploring the space.
The gallery itself is beautifully laid out, with thoughtfully curated displays that highlight a wide range of contemporary art. I was especially impressed by the quality and variety, stunning oil and acrylic paintings, unique sculptures, and beautifully crafted handmade jewelry. The window displays are also fantasticas they draw you in and showcase some truly eye-catching pieces.
What really stands out is the organization’s mission and community focus. As a historic nonprofit, SFWA does an amazing job supporting and promoting Bay Area artists while creating an inclusive, welcoming environment for visitors. You can feel that sense of purpose throughout the gallery, it’s not just a place to view art, but a space that actively builds community and uplifts artists at all stages of their careers.
The location is perfect too, right in the vibrant Inner Sunset near Golden Gate Park, making it an easy and enjoyable stop whether you’re local or visiting.
Overall, this is a gem in San Francisco. If you’re looking to support local (especially women) artists while experiencing high-quality, thoughtfully presented work, this is definitely a place to visit and purchase quality artworks.”

“I hired Izukee Inc. to incorporate a shopping cart on our website. The first thing I loved about working with Shengjin, was that he answered emails! I've worked with so many web designers that take days to return an email. Shengjin told us that he would have the job done within days, and he did! I've never worked with a web designer that answered emails and did the job quickly. He also gave us great ideas about how to make the shopping cart better, fixed our many mistakes, and developed a shopping cart that was better than we could have imagined. We will be using Izukee and Shengjin for all our web needs for now on.”
“This is a sweet gallery in the Sunset that shows a variety of work, including work of emerging artists. The artwork is affordable for the average buyer and great for those who appreciate original art. Gallery owner is charming and knowledgeable, and also an artist. Openings are upbeat and fun, not at all stuffy.”
“You could easily miss this little shop even if you walk by every day. But you know who sees everything, kids. It was my kids that noticed the butterfly specimens and animal skulls in the window. I wasn’t sure if it was open to the public, but the kids kept begging to go in.
Inside you will find rocks and crystals of every color. It my kids dream!
They also have jewelry, art, stationary, and even art classes for kids.”
