“I’ve walked in twice now and always been out within 15 minutes. Super efficient. I only have great things to say about the front desk lady and all the technicians. Very professional, polite, clear, and good at their jobs. My blood draws have been super quick and painless (no struggles finding a vein, they distract me with nice conversation). The bathroom is clean as well.”
“This lab is one of the few in the area that I've seen using the BD 368652 Vacutainer lines. If you have a lot of blood work to complete, I highly recommend doing it all here since the flexible lines on the draw needle lead to a much better experience. With the flexible line, the technicians don't have to hold the needle steady while sampling so there's a significantly reduced chance of bruising or unnecessary needle movement.
Also, wait times for walk-ins are literally a million times shorter (yes, a million) than at any Quest location (walk-in) in the bay.”

“Check in was really easy at the kiosk, and they took me in immediately (I had an appointment). The folks there were really nice, and took me seriously when I told them I tend to pass out. They let me wait for a specific room with a lay flat option to draw blood to become available. The did seem short staffed (it seemed only two people were working, one checking people into their rooms and getting their paperwork/vials ready and the Phlebotomist. My phlebotomist was awesome! She was kind and patient, checked in during the draw to make sure I was okay, and encouraged me to take it slow after and brought me a water. Definitely will come back here for future blood work, this was one of the best experiences I've had getting blood drawn.”

“Walk-in for lab is pretty quick and efficient. But hours should be kept up-to-date. I was waiting in the parking lot for a while before going in because Google maps said they opened at 8:30. I also had another appointment to go to and ended up coming back here after. That was a huge mistake. It's best to go as early as you can. Parking is HORRIBLE around 10am!”

They were nothing but friendly and helped me quickly and made sure that I had everything I needed to ensure I would be able to fly safely and make my trip tonight. “Here's a nice review for Jaime at Quest:
I've always had good experiences at Quest Diagnostics at Valencia St- clean, organized, great service, and efficient - each time I have been there over the last 2-3 years.
The visit last week was excellent thanks to Jaime. I had a situation where my doctor's office sent over incorrect orders that would have resulted in unnecessary higher charges. Jaime took the time to catch this error and inform me about it, then helped get everything corrected so I wouldn't be charged incorrectly. Even though I walked in without an appointment, the wait was surprisingly short. Jaime was professional, thorough, and really looked out for my best interests and paid such close attention to detail and genuinely cares about helping patients avoid unnecessary costs. The results are available in the portal in 2-3 days so I find their end to end process pretty good!
In my previous visit, I took my mom, she has thin veins and the other technician really took care and took great care of her as well.
Taking an appt. is always a smart move to avoid wait but I am glad they were able to fit me within 5 min of arrival.
Having been to both Labcorp and Quest - I wonder why did I ever go to LabCorp in the first place- without an appt., bring a book or listen to a long podcast at LabCrop unless you prefer meditate silently for an hour or more!

“I went in on a Saturday as a walk-in. I arrived at 7:40 and was out by 9:30. The waiting room was full and while the workers were efficient with check-in and care, this being the only Labcorp open on a Saturday in the peninsula means you can expect a wait. Arrive as early, bring a book, snacks, and water.
Parking is tricky in this area, there’s a large construction projection going on next to the building.
Service was professional and friendly. It would make everyone’s lives easier if labcorp had more labs open on Saturday (the demand is there) but that’s on the company, not the receptionists and technicians who are doing their best.”

On my most recent visit, there was apparently a technical issue with the scheduling that allowed people to book 4 appointments every 10 minutes although there were only 3 phlebotomists scheduled to serve them. The staff did their best to accommodate every customer in whatever way possible. My wait was longer than expected, but not terrible.”

“Recently went to AHF for a general check up and my first experience with the AHF team was great! Their staff is knowledgeable, caring and responsive... they went above and beyond by getting me scheduled quickly. I was a bit unsure about going because I'm not Poz and there are some bad reviews for related locations. Neither concern amounted to anything... the reviews are from individuals who have a political bone to pick with AHF - but (sounds like) never received care from the team... do yourself a favor and ignore them. While they specialize in working with folks who are Poz (HIV+) or seeking preventative care, they'll accept non-Poz patients too. My understanding is they'll see patients without regard to ability to pay and while waiting I heard the staff working with patients to make sure they have access to every available resource that might help them. Bummed that the office is only open Weds and Fridays, but the friendly team more than makes up for any stars I'm inclined to knock off for that. Bottom line - the AHF team is a great community resource - they deserve some Yelp love!”

Margaret was really kind as well, getting me some tea and an ice pack. I felt very cared for. These ladies really make a blood draw experience enjoyable, which I did not know what possible! ;)”
