The San Clemente Inn provides a peaceful stay in a fairly safe and secure area. It is a short walk to Calafia Beach, taking about 5 to 10 minutes down and up the hill. While a little farther from downtown, it is very drive-able and close to the beautiful ocean town. Guests describe the rooms, like studios, as a perfect or tolerable size for two people, though some note the mattresses are not very comfortable. Rooms feature a nice kitchenette with a bigger fridge, stocked with kitchen utensils and silverware, which is good enough for most purposes. Some guests mention a musty, woody smell in the room. The impeccable grounds offer lots of amenities and activities, and the hotel staff is noted as very friendly, good, and informational. An on-property restaurant and bar is a convenient option, though some wish for more engagement there. Some amenities, like a hot tub, have received mixed feedback. Overall, families and guests enjoy their stay, with many loving the location and having a blast, stating the place exceeded expectations and they will definitely be back.
Nick has been fabulous! He helped us with check in, routes to the beach, local attractions and where to get food. We came to the desk with questions about water, laundry etc… and he was fabulous each time! He made our stay excellent. My kids were thrilled with the amenities, activities and proximity to the beach

We loved the location being so close to the beach. We also enjoyed the amenities- pickle ball, foosball, air hockey and pool & spa.

For the money, you will not find a better place as nice and as big a rooms as the San Clemente Inn in the area.
