This Home Depot at Southland Plaza sits in the north section of the Southland Plaza shopping center off Palm Avenue, near the Walmart. Parking is busy most of the time since the whole complex stays packed, but there’s usually a space up close if you loop around once or twice.
I came in to grab a few electrical switches and a replacement handle for my parents’ house. The staff were great, patient, quick to help, and willing to point me right to what I needed.
I’m a thriller author, but in real life I’m usually just fixing things like everyone else. Maybe that’s why I appreciate places like this. There’s something honest about solving problems with your hands instead of words. Keeps me grounded between novels. Solid crew, reliable store, and a little slice of normal life before diving back into the next global mess on the page.”
