Pennywise Books is a lovely old school bookstore with a huge and robust variety of books in every genre. It is a fun mishmash, well kept, extremely clean and organized so customers can easily find what they are looking for. The books are used but generally in excellent condition. This allows for very low prices, often just a few dollars compared to the publisher price at other stores. There is also a popular $1 shelf outside. The owner is quite nice, gentle, and extremely knowledgeable about his inventory and the book market, always accessible and helpful to people finding a book. It is a great place and one of the last of its kind, a bookstore of choice for many years where customers definitely plan to come again.
Great place to go if you're an avid reader! I personally am not. Lol But my mother went here quite a bit. The owner, several years after her passing, still remembered my Mom. Very nice Man.
