“Robert Kim and Action Auto Care were recommended to me when I first moved to the US 23 years ago. I've taken cars there ever since, and have benefited immensely from Robert's knowledge, patience, fairness, and way of explaining things. Since I'm not at all mechanically minded, there have been numerous times when I've relied on his guidance to make a good decision on repairs, or keeping or selling a car. He's now offering the same guidance to my son, going so far as to steer him on repairs he wanted to do himself. Robert is an incredible asset to the Potrero Hill community and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for car-related matters, even if I have to drive across town these days for Action Auto Care. They're the best!”
“Went on a weekday morning around 8:30am for a suspected tire leak. Not too busy at the time. One of the guys patched my tire within like 15 min, pumped up all of them, and charged me $10 which I think is so little for the service! Gave him 20 and highly recommend this place, at least just based on a simple tire patching.”

“I hate dealing with dealerships since they always charge an arm and a leg. Found them on yelp and decided to give it a try. I was a little nervous since I’m a girl and weary of mechanic shops but decided to give it a shot. Called for a quote on battery replacement and they were able to provide it to me through text, which I find super convenient. Was able to set up an appointment a few days later. Prior to my battery dying, I’ve been driving around with a super loud exhaust. Not sure what my ex did to it but he removed something to “make it louder”. Honestly, it was driving me insane! Come appointment day, they were able to change out my battery and they noticed something rattling and loose in my exhaust so they secured it. It fixed the loud noise! I’m super grateful that they did that without me mentioning anything. Will be going here from now on. Super trustworthy!”

My car is a 2000 Mercedes-Benz SL500 and I wasn't quite sure there'd be a shop that could repair it and restore it to its original beauty
I talked with the insurance company and I visited local shops on my own and decided I wanted to use alioto's body shop services for a couple reasons one they worked well with my insurance company to their shops were impressively well ordered and three they've been in business a very long time in the Bay area where I live they got my car in quickly and it took them only one week to fix my throughout the whole process they sent me texts updating me about the progress of my car when they got the parts when they were going to paint when they painted and when I could pick it up the pickup date they gave me was exact and sooner than I had I was relieved and overjoyed when I went to pick my car up and there it's at like it was brand new. The work they did was seamless it was like nothing had ever happened to my car they cleaned washed and waxed it inside and out and there were no delays or unexpected problems which I can tell you rarely happens anywhere with anything anytime they took great care of my car which I appreciate it and if I ever needed it I would bring a vehicle there again without question and I'm not in the habit of leaving reviews to begin with but it was such a relief to have this problem fixed in such a timely and efficient manner that I felt if someone else was in my position with a car that was in an accident that they cared about and we're at a loss for where to take it I'm sure that alioto's would be an excellent choice”

“The short version: I can't say enough positive things about Kenny and VAS Motor Works. They are friendly, knowledgable, honest, and efficient. Would highly recommend them.
The long version: My MK7 Golf had a check engine light for an intake air leak, and another nearby shop quoted $8800 to replace the intake manifold, PCV, injectors and do a carbon cleaning, as well as replace the coolant expansion tank. That price seemed ridiculous, so I called Kenny at VAS, who said they'd usually charge less than 1/3 for the same work.
I brought the car to VAS, and they did their own diagnoses, and found the air leak to be just the PCV and the coolant leak was from a cracked hose, not the expansion tank. 24 hours later, my car was back on the road and running great for less than 1/5th the original quote from the other shop.

“Oscar, their lead mechanic, helped us with our MINI Cooper brake, calpers, and rotor repair. We needed a full replacement and came to Schwerin because we thought our first quote was really expensive.
Schwerin came in less expensive than another automotive shop and they worked quickly and diligently to repair our vehicle. They let us store our car over the weekend and over night and were very flexible + communicative with timing.
We were extremely happy with the results and recommend them highly, we'll come back again for sure!”
