Cotton Sheep is a wonderful store in Hayes Valley with a great selection of curated clothes and jewelry, including Japanese brands like Kapital that are hard to find outside of Japan. The selection is wide, varied, and lovely quality, featuring custom pieces, Americana style, and even popular items like cute socks for young children and rad bananas that sell out quickly. The staff is super friendly, kind, patient, and accommodating, offering helpful recommendations without being pushy. They are very particular about materials and designs and provide wonderful service, such as making custom jewelry on the spot with care. The small shop is easy to shop and has cool merchandising. Customers love the style and feel of everything, highly recommend it, and plan to return.
Zack is always incredibly helpful and goes above and beyond. He remembered us meeting a couple years ago at Cotton Sheep. Great selection of Kapital as well!
This store is the reason Kapital exists in the North American market. Incredible aura. Best yoshida porter selection in America also.!

Don’t know where the bad reviews come from. The owner Eiko was super friendly and accommodating. I tried on a few things and she even gave some recommendations . Eventually decided on a Type 1 Century Denim Jacket. Would recommend to any Japanese Americana fans in the Bay Area! 11/10

Wonderful store, really great selection of clothes & jewelry. Custom pieces and curated items. Nice selection, lovely quality. I found the staff to be wonderful and were very helpful. Made a bracelet for me on the spot and took a lot of care to make it right. Will definitely be back!
