“What a wonderful little shop!! And the owner is a kind, compassionate and upbeat guy! We just visited Fisherman's Wharf in S.F. from L.A., and re-discovered this welcoming place! I bought a purple T-shirt custom-screened with a dog logo, and the owner also gave me an SF key chain. I appreciated the low price, and the merchandise is first-rate and unique. I highly recommend visiting and patronizing this place.”

“Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable owner, very glad we decided to visit! There's only really two maternity stores in sf, now that the bigger department stores have moved their maternity clothing online only.”

“Come here for a quick gift to bring a fancy hipster toy to your next young kids birthday party. Expect to pay high prices, but in return, you get fancy packaging that feels good in your hands, as you marvel at the extra 5 minute effort the clerk spends to wrap your gift and stamp it with custom letters with the name of the recipient. The store is a joy for parents, but honestly like any fancy boutique you get concerned bringing your little ones in tow. This is a high brow gift shop, not Toys R Us.”

“We were going to have an early supper with friends at a nearby restaurant and wanted to kill a few minutes and walked by this store and I realized it's related to Kira and Muffy in Hawaii! So of course, I went in to check out the store and was looking for a few Kira and Muffy gifts. The staff member indicated that this store is owned by the same owner as the one in Hawaii. I saw my favorite little rabbit that I bought at the Hawaii store. Hopefully, they will get more Kira and Muffy items in as this store has a variety of other cute items for adults and kids and because it was the store's anniversary, they were giving out complimentary snacks! I ended up buying a cute little touch and feel book for my 3 month old grandson here, so adorable!”

“I was gifted a sewing machine for Mother's Day despite never sewing in my life :-P My 7 yo daughter really wanted to take sewing lessons together so I was thrilled that Sew offers a mom/daughter class at a time that worked for our hectic schedule. We chose the 2-hour class and I didn't really know what to expect. My daughter was over the moon and can't stop talking about how she now knows how to sew and how she wished we could have spent the whole day there. I'm bummed that I didn't know about this place earlier as it would have been a perfect summer camp opportunity; planning to enroll next summer for sure! The owner showed me how to use my OWN machine(!), which was the first time it had been turned on, and made the whole idea of sewing less intimidating. Definitely will be returning to take more classes! It's a wonderful business and I highly recommend it!!!”

“What a sweet and wonderful group of lady's running this store. You'll find everything you need for toddlers, which is especially hard about 4 years old. In between baby and kids clothes/shoes. Also the shoes I bought my son were not cheaply made Nike's that break through the toe within a month. Great stuff!”

“Love this store! Everything is custom to them and excellent customer service. We went to the store at the San Francisco airport and we will shop there again or anywhere else they pop up. I plan on checking out their website to catch anything I missed. So nice to see something original.”

“I just wanted to put in a good word for Karen! She is delightful and really made my visit to the shop the friendliest of any visit I’ve had in sf. She’s super sweet and I even showed her a couple of songs on my guitar haha.Wishing this shop all the best, and thank you for keeping things lively and warm here in sf!”

“I was looking for swimwear and a sweater (both from Tea Collection) which were sold out on the company's website. After a google search for the items, I found Fiddlesticks! They have a nice selection of children's clothing as well as plush toys (I ended up buying a few more adorable plush toys from Jellycat). When I received the package today, all items were individually wrapped and there was a sweet note from the owner. Had a lovely experience shopping online. Highly recommended this store.”

“Usually have a great selection with sizes. Workers are wonderful, very easy to talk to if any questions. The store is organized. It’s a great vibe inside, it’s colorful and neon lights are extra cute if you take pictures inside.I have a few Aviator Nation and it’s soft and very comfortable. I do wish there were pockets on some of the sweatpants tho.”

“Great employees! store is really weird though. the door is always locked and they come to unlock the door whenever you want to come in. almost like they dont want you there, very empty and souless. I love how they don’t follow you around the store and lurk behind you. overall weird experience due to the vibe.”

“Good sale selection! This Gap Store has a great selection of clothing under one roof -- from business casual to loungewear. I always manage to find a good deal, too! Close to Powell Street BART Station, so highly accessible. Also close to Westfield Mall, in case you want to make a day of shopping. The sales people are always kind and attentive, too!”

“I walked in wanting to buy something for my son to put some spring in his step. School is hard and kids can be mean. Salesperson Ricky offered suggestions but one by one I shot them down: Too preppy, don't like the pockets, no button downs, no pastel rugby shirt. Then Ricky showed me this table of cool sweatpants, hoodies and t-shirts, a limited time collab with the logo of The Brooklyn Circus and the Black Panthers, coo-ol! The cotton is so thick and soft, quality stuff.I didn't know I wanted something for myself but I bought beautiful cotton pajamas in an awning stripe of pink, blue, yellow and white, buy one piece get the second 50% off.Because I'm a bad shopper, I have to have the picture painted for me. Ricky did an excellent job asking enough questions to get me from "I don't know what I want" to "that's perfect!"Everything about this retail experience was terrific.”

“Small frys is the best children clothing/shoe store in San Francisco! Whenever I am in the area for lunch or a walk, I always stop by here to get something for my daughter and son. It's also a great place to get a gift for a special little one! There's always a decent sized sales rack at the entrance. What makes this store truly amazing is the owner. My family from Ukraine recently fled the war and arrived in San Francisco. The owner reached out to me and told me she has a care package at her store waiting for my almost 6 year old nephew. I had tears when reading how generous of a person she was. Not only did she give him incredible See Kai Run shoes, but she also have super stylish pants, shirts and PJs. My family and I are forever grateful for her kindness and generosity. Thank you, thank you. Support small businesses like Small Frys!”

“I didn’t have a great experience with service. Employee basically tried to take commission by getting me a dressing room and then wouldn’t really help me, but also this blocking anyone else from helping me? Love the store and clothes but what this sales person did to me was completely unfair to me as a customer and to his fellow employees.”

“OMG!!! My first time here with my fiancé for a belt! Customer service is literally the best!! I was so AMAZED! I've never experienced such great customer service like I did yesterday! Every single employee there was so nice and welcoming they went above and beyond ! They treated us so good. . My 5 year old son was with us as well and he needed to use the bathroom. One of the employees took us to the bathroom & waited for us to be done to guide us back. Thank you all so much. I will forsure be back for more things . Everyone was GREAT!!”

“While here at the mall waiting to meet someone I dashed into Uniqlo to see their Athletic cut undershirts and found what I was looking for similar to what I have which was bought years ago but only better with a wider cut for the underarm area. I was surprised that they had the sizing and quality of what I am used to so for a total of $11 including the 25 cent bag I was in and out lickity split using the self serve kiosk. Easy to find things with a very helpful staff who lets you try on items depending on how that item is packaged.”

“I absolutely love the clothes. I don't know the significance behind the name, but you won't find better colors and quality anywhere. The number of employees standing at the entrance is a bit intimidating. it would probably be better if they only had one or two out on the sales floor until several more customers walk in.”

“I absolutely love their sample sales and try to buy their clothing as much as I can. A few requests/suggestions: for sample sales, it would be great to separate days by size to reduce crowding. Having all sizes every day gets too hectic and impossible to find a place to sort. What about a day for sizes N-6 and another for 7-16? Also, the larger sizes are always low- how about making more large size inventory - they will definitely sell. But, thank you, thank you for making size 16 for boys!!! A lot of competitors are pulling out of the larger sizes so it's a win-win for you and for our large kiddos (my son is 9 and wearing a size 16). Thank you for the online sales, too (a lot of parents can't afford the full price items but love your clothing.”

“Can't say too many bad things about this store... Good clothes for a good price, and they seemed genuinely surprised when I end up spending a couple hundred dollars. (Oh yeah there you go that's your negative, they profile people, and because I'm young sag My pants and walk around with a backpack on they always follow me around & look at me like I stole something.) It's really irritating amd degrading, but such is the current state of affairs in SF”

“I stopped by in January because I love Kapital, the cult Japanese fashion brand that mixes Americana with the touch of Japanese style. The owner and I assume her daughter were very patient and let me try on a couple pieces to see how they fit. The selection is wide and varied. Loved this shop and can't wait to go back when I'm in the area.”
