And I think it's going to the neighborhood and the greater good. Well stocked store and they will order something if you need and cannot find it. In the well supplies shelves. Chickens? Rabbits? Cats? And of course, dogs! Just ask! Puppy socials and training classes are offered in house too, for you new parents. And frankly just stop buy to check It out. “Shipyard K9 has been our go to spot for dog supplies and care in the heart of 24th & Mission for close to a year. The staff is super friendly and they've been so attentive in making sure we get the snacks, toys, or services for our pup.We come here pretty regularly for grooming services as well and they have a great self service wash station! Our (sometimes stinky) pup always leaves the shop looking and smelling extra fresh.Highly recommend for any local pet owners in the Mission District and beyond!”

“We've been coming to Jeffrey's since we got our dog four years ago and we feel so lucky to have this wonderful local shop walking distance from us! Our dog loves coming here. Even when we're just walking by, our dog will wag his tail and pull us inside the store. It's his Toys R Us. We go weekly to pick up raw food and Don there always greets us with a smile. He knows our names and of course our dog's name, and has always been super helpful in helping us find the right products for our dog. He is super friendly with our dog which we appreciate because our dog is a big guy and we often experience people being apprehensive around him which I get. Our dog loves the raw food here. He loves everything here. The raw food is available in several sizes, we usually opt for the 32 oz. We used to get the 64 oz but it's a bit pricy and we needed to start budgeting tighter this year. He also loves the minnows and bully sticks! We've picked up bully sticks from other places but he loves these the most. They also have shampoos, ointments, tick spray, you name it! This is our go to for all things dogs. +And they have socials for puppies! It's a gem.”

We recently came by and brought some pet supplies and treats for our pup. He's been here multiple times before, so he knows the way. Whenever we walk by, he would stop and look at me to see if we are going in. The lady that works here is friendly and always ask if he wants a treat and of course he does!”

You'll meet their furry friends - shop cats and/or dogs, and get guidance on products and options. They've saved me time and again for the only canned food that my sensitive cat can eat, and they have great prices and loyalty programs. I try to bring cash or check to help them with margins like they help me with cat food deals. Really lovely folks.”

“Hubby and I love supporting small, local pet businesses and decided to stop in with our puppy Midnight! We purchased Evangers Gently Dried Beef Liver for him and he absolutely loves these single ingredient, grain-free/gluten-free dog treats! They're perfectly bite sized for training and contain 0 artificial ingredients! We also purchased Grandma Lucy's Singles-Chicken, for our Seal Point Ragdoll and both our puppy and our kitty absolutely loves them as well! They're also single ingredient, all natural, grain-free, USA made freeze-dried treats! Our puppy also needed a new leash and we came across the RC Pets Bungee Traffic Leash in "black" This reflective leash has been great for our puppy! When he pulls the neoprene padded handle is a lot more comfortable to hold onto, compared to our old leash! Not to mention it's nickel plated, so it resists wear and tear! I would definitely this small/woman owned business that opened in 1987, they carry lots of healthy pet brands I know and love for a variety of pets! The female employee working was very acknowledgeable and helpful during our shopping experience! We'll definitely be returning the next time we're in the area! I know the place is fairly new, but there's just a lot of potential there. I hope they really keep going with the concept of what real dog food should be. I fear just like us, the food is leading them to their graves. Makes me sick going to the chains! How many dogs do you know that like crackers (a few). I love my animals, they are living beings, and not lesser life forms, as is the perception of a lot of human beings. We force them into an unnatural, and unforgiving world, as we kill of the rest of them or some other torture practice that we fail to recognize. They deserve better lives.”

“I miss West Pawtal SO MUCH! It used to be our go-to pet food and supply shop when we lived in the area until a couple months ago, when we moved up north. Tina is SO informed/educated on the products they carry in the store, she shows wonderful customer care/service (still texts me to wish me happy holidays), although they're a small business in the middle of San Francisco their prices are reasonable, and they carry SO MUCH product for the size of the shop! “We cannot say enough about how much we absolutely LOVE SFRAW! Kasie, owner/operator gives consultations for folks wanting to start raw feeding. We raw feed our cats as well as our two Autism Service dogs. SFRAW only purchases meat, bone & offal from small sustainable farms that actually visits herself! It's important for her to know that these animals live a good life. SFRAW taught us that we can heal through food. SFRAW has fully trained staff that answer any & all questions! One can clearly see the how much her staff truly love & believe in raw feeding. Our precious furry family members are only fed the absolute best! We fully believe in along with a raw fed diet and the homeopathic remedies Kasie makes herself. Kasie's protocols made the difference in our boxer's healing from cancer removal surgery. The Vets even learned about homeopathic medicine and now implements on the many animals they service!”
“I've been taking my extremely timid Havanese to Top Dog for over a year now, and I've only had excellent service. Because my dog is so anxious, it's super helpful that they groom only one dog at a time (less noise and stress for the dogs). The past places I've taken him to had several hairdryers going at the same time...the noise was pretty unbearable even for me, so I can't imagine how terrible it must be for the dogs. My dog's hair also mats easily, and they've been really helpful by giving him a cut that is cute and grows out nicely. Thank you, Top Dog, for taking such good care of my shy little guy.”

“I have a pup with pancreatitis and most lower fat treats she refuses but luckily mishka’s turkey cake is very low fat and my dog is obsessed with the cakes and so am I. The cakes are absolutely beautiful and there are always fun new shapes with different seasons and holidays. The staff is also always so friendly and helpful. Mishka is a must go to if you have a pup in the Bay Area.”
