“This store has a picture of an adopted dog.. His name is Zito. We call our uncle Zito. None of the nephews from his 12 siblings know his name or why Zito lol Never in my 34 years of life heard anyone/anything with this name. I thought it was hilarious. I domt own a pet but here are my 5 stars haha”

“Long overdue! Pet Food Express — this location has the kindest employees! They offer great, personalized service and are truly happy to be there — professional too. They’re knowledgeable about dog and cat treats and work with whatever is in your budget! I come here for my dog’s treats, which is awesome because he’s very shy but still likes being at Pet Food Express. It’s nice to visit stores that are clean and tidy. I feel a bit extra since I could just order online, but I appreciate this location because it’s low-stimulation and not loud — I feel at ease here. That’s probably why I cross the tunnel to come to this one! Thank you!”

4814 Broadway, Oakland CA 94611
“I come here their pet exams and my dog’s allergy shots. The shots are the cheapest I’ve found anywhere and helped my dogs a lot. I’ve also come in when I need my dogs checked out for a reason and they’ve always provided good exams. The people are nice. If you go plan to stay awhile. Make sure you come in the morning as there is a limited amount of numbers for exams, so the early bird gets the early worm.”

“Best place on earth!! For the cost of $12 a person my girlfriend and I visited and had an awesome time hanging out with the cats. Everyone here is so nice and respectful. Great service. Very calm environment (perfect for the cats). We had a hard time leaving without adopting a pair to take home. Please consider coming because the money goes towards taking care of the angels that live here.”

“Great little store, clean and well-lit. I was looking for a sweater for my dog and they didn't have any sweaters right now but the woman behind the counter was super friendly and helpful! I also love that they don't sell any live animals, so I feel good about shopping here. Go check them out!”

“We love bringing my parents’ dog here—four years later and we still wouldn’t go anywhere else! Benji is always showered with treats and care, and he genuinely trusts the team, which means so much to us since he’s a rescue. Huge thanks to Alma and her amazing team!”

“Great selection of pet foods for dogs, cats, rodents, birds and fish. Clean store and polite staff. Not a huge selection of pet supplements, but they do have CBD products for pets. Plenty of pet toys and being/nesting items.”
