Wycen Foods is a long-standing local institution in Chinatown, known for its high-quality preserved meats. It is recognized for having the best preserved Chinese sausages, or lap cheung, including special varieties like those with rose wine and a lean option. The shop also offers duck legs, pork belly, Chinese-style bacon, pressed duck, and a variety of other legs and wings, along with beef jerky. These items are used in traditional Cantonese cuisine, often steamed over rice or pork to impart flavor. The business is celebrated for its fresh selections and different varieties that are not found in typical prepackaged brands or at most Asian groceries. While prices are a bit higher, customers find the quality worth it, with some traveling far or making it a priority visit even from out of state. The friendly staff contributes to its reputation. I've been buying from they for years. Best preserved Chinese sausages, duck legs, pork belly. Price is a bit higher than others but it's worth it. Can't get this quality on prepackaged brands.
