“My husband and I love to go to this store! The bikes are top notch and easy to daydream having them all. I got a pair of road bike shoes at a great price and at check-out they discounted them more based on a promotion. But THE BEST part is the friendly, knowledgable staff. They make sure you have been helped and never pressure for a sale. They let the quality merchandise and bike lovers inherent love of all things bikes do the selling! Of course if you have a question, they will help and make recommendations.”
“Bike shop gives 10/10 service, Family owned, and Exceptional service, You really cannot go wrong going local with this shop, they built 2 bikes for me already?”
“Really cool little bike shop and the service is excellent! Roberto was super helpful and helped me fix a broken brake on my bike. Great selection of bikes and apparel. Good selection of e-bikes too.”
“I'm a fan of this shop for their laid back culture, which feels more accessible to me than a couple of other bike shops around town & have frequented it over the past few years when I need more than minor things done on my bikes. They have been able to do the work & prices have been reasonable. These days they request you book an appointment online vs just showing up.”
“The team at Open Trails is the best! I have bought three e-bikes from them over the years and have found them to be knowledgable and friendly. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other bike shops in the area, and they have a great selection. Highly recommend!”

“My ebike got a flat tire. I took my bike in to be replaced. Alfonso and his crew were very friendly. I didn't wait long for the repair and they also fixed my brake. Cost is reasonable. Location is within community. Oh its cool they put a little sticker on my bike. Thanks guys for kindness and I will see you for any future repairs....”
“Joe helped me out and really hooked it up! I got exactly what I wanted and even test road it before even deciding if I wanted it. He even delivered it to me PERSONALLY to my house because my car couldn’t fit the bike. If you want a good price, good service, and flexible payment plan then come here!”
“I recently signed up for my first-ever Olympic distance triathlon and brought my bike to Pasadena Cyclery for a Level 1 Service package. This was my first time getting my bike tuned professionally, as I’ve been doing my own bike repairs for the last ten years. The Level 1 Service, priced at $125, included a full tune-up: everything torqued, aligned, and adjusted—brakes, shifting, headset, hubs, bottom bracket, bolts, frame wipe-down, tire inflation, lubrication, and a minor wheel true. They were upfront about the need for new brake pads, cables, and bar tape with gel pads, which I appreciated. The itemized receipt is attached to this review.
I dropped off my bike on Tuesday, and they had it ready by Thursday—perfect timing for the event on Saturday. The cables were installed neatly, and the shifting worked better than it had in years. The bar tape was applied more expertly and perfectly than I could ever do myself. Their communication and professionalism really stood out, and I felt confident heading into my triathlon knowing my bike was in great shape. I had a super fun time on my bike, charging through rolling hills.
Since then, I’ve been so stoked on riding that one of my rear wheel spokes broke today. After ten years of riding on it, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. Luckily, I have the time to fix it myself, but if I were under a time crunch, I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my bike back to Pasadena Cyclery again. Getting my bike tuned professionally is an occasional luxury that’s absolutely worth it.
Update: unfortunately someone stole my bike in front of the Caltech Gym entrance 10/17 between 6:40pm-7pm so I don’t have a bike to bring in for repair anymore :(”
“What a great team at Cycle N Motion! They have consistently helped me with my Rad Power e-bike over the past few months, which I appreciate. My e-bike is my main transportation and the team have taken that in account when making repairs and quickly get me back on the road as soon as possible. As a small business owner, this is critical to me, and I very much appreciate that. They are my preferred local go-to bike repair shop and I highly recommend Cycle N Motion, especially for Rad Power Bikes. Thank you Esteban and team!”
“Amazing bike shop! Wanted a push bike for 2 yr old and bike with training wheels for 4 year old granddaughters. Not only did they have both in pink, in stock in boxes, they are putting them together for us right now! Can’t say enough about this place. This shop might be small but they had everything we wanted after being to two other shops. Super reasonable prices too!”
“Patient, trustworthy, and will tell you options. Our case was a situation that required us to contact the manufacturer since it's a very old bike, and they don't have parts for our particular bike. $65 to investigate your ebike issue, with a 3-5days minimum stay over needed to investigate.
Friendly! Very knowledgeable! Repairs ebikes too. Will be buying my next ebike from here! Unsure how they make money though! They take credit card and cash.
Apparently when starting, they were a bicycle shop 5 years ago. They quickly turned into an ebike shop due to its popularity.”
“Chinchilla was one of the nicest people I’ve met in the bike industry. I rolled in at 10:05 on a Sunday with iffy shifting with my DI 2 . He didn’t hesitate to put it up on the rack and fix my issue. Hanger was bent a bit and chain was @ 50% . New chain, alignment and derailleurs adjustments. Out the door in less than 20 minutes. I know this isn’t the norm as far as taking in a bike and get instant service but demeanor and just being honest goes a long way in my opinion. I will be bringing my bikes to this man. I live in Whittier and it’s worth the drive.”
“Recommend this place for new bikers. I went in after buying a used bike and was greeted nicely. They helped me get my bike running up to speed, Peter was amazing! Great prices as well.
Got maintenance done and picked up a new helmet! Will definitely be back”
“I’m so happy I found Steve’s Bike Shop. Wont be going anywhere else now. Not only was the work they performed on my mountain bike top-notch, it was done quickly and at about half the price of the larger bike shops I checked with when I was pricing out these repairs. Best of all, they were willing to take the time to talk with me and explain anything I had questions about which is something most mechanics don’t/won’t do.Only suggestion I would make is to add a tip jar at the front counter so happy customers like me can show a little extra appreciation for the great service we get when we walk through the door. I honestly kind of felt like I was stealing from them when I heard the total cost for all the awesome work they did for me. ?”
“Really great bike shop. They have many bikes from different brands.Great customer service. Super friendly. The price is great for the service and from my trial, it is a bit more economic. Finally, super fast repairs no matter how the issue was.”

“This was my favorite discovery of the year. I've taken my bike here twice and the shop owner always fixes my issues fast and effectively. Fast and no need for a second visit for the same problem. Brand name accessories and higher end products won't be found here. The service and prices have made me a loyal customer.”
“Took an E-bike for a tune-up. Will give a review when I pick it up. Well, I picked up my ebike 2 days later, and I must say they did a fantastic job! He replaced a controller and made some adjustments. Now, the bike works great. Also the price was very fair. I would definitely recommend this bike shop.”
“Extremely honest proprietors, extremely kind, extremely friendly. These guys didn't have the size spoke wrench that I needed in stock, so they sold me their own shop tool. Kind and sincere folks, what can I say.It warms the heart to have people like this around..”
“David presented me with a very reasonable cost to tune up and replace two tubes. He had it all oiled up and cleaned up with me tubes that the original price he offered. Bike is performing just like new.I don’t think there’s any place else that anyone should be taking their bike to for maintenance or repair.”

“The owner of the store is so nice and does great work. He was kind enough to repair my bike for free before going to college, and he did it in less than an hour. Highly recommend!”
“This shop has quite a big stock of bike accessories. I got an issue with the valve of the front tube. I explained the whole thing. The owner kindly explained and gave me some caps for free. Thank you so much and the issue got resolved.”
