“I absolutely adore this place! It’s such an amazing haven for fans of Japanese music, especially fans of music from the 80s and 90s. I’ve found such amazing artists featured here, such as Akina Nakamori, Omega Tribe, Wink, Naomi Akimoto, and Tatsuro Yamashita to name a few. They also have CDs from early 2000s artists such as Namie Amuro, BoA, and various Visual Kei artists, which is amazing since their music tends to be hard to find on streaming services. The owner is also extremely knowledgable and is able to answer all of my questions. For fans of Japanese music in LA, this place is heaven!”
“So it was my lovely wife’s birthday. Unfortunately I was working and had an early dismissal, even though no time was given and they were able to prepare me an arrangement.
Thank you Eddible Arrangements”
“This place is DANGERIOUS! ? you will walk in and come out with unexpected items you didn't intention at all!!! Really nice layouts for presentations and also just the qualities of the products are phenomenal! ❤️ LOVE this store ?”
“The Goddess Mercado Bazaar is a beautiful collective of women—rooted in Indigenous wisdom and artisan traditions—bringing a truly unique and soulful experience to the heart of Montebello. This is more than a marketplace; it’s a living community. You can step into a women’s circle, learn to sew with intention, explore candle-making workshops, or wander through pop-up art walks that celebrate creativity and culture.
The space also offers sound baths, a thoughtfully curated bookstore, poetry readings featuring a variety of authors, and an inspiring gallery showcasing local artists with new installations every month. Even their lottery nights feel intentional and community-centered. Every visit feels nourishing, creative, and deeply connected—an authentic space where art, healing, and culture meet.”
“Accidentally wandered in here and discovered such a gem! Everything in here is so cute and it was being run by the person who also creates everything, so I got to tell her how cute her stuff is! Walked out with a ton of stickers and some cute little mugs.”
“I love how organized everything is here! I really loved how when I had a certain question about a specific show and character, the young man working was able to point right to it. Everyone here is really knowledgeable and kind. I will definitely continue to come here to get gifts for myself, friends, and family. Thank you so much!”

“This store is a gem in Little Tokyo. it reminds me of the quaint, endearing stores along the streets of Kyoto with curated items. I will definitely put this on my list as one of the must-sees and must-dos in DTLA.”
“The moment you step in, there's a cozy vibe that makes you want to explore everything they have. What sets this store apart is the incredible range of handcrafted items - from cool home decor to beautiful jewelry and textiles. Each piece has its own story, showcasing the talent and cultural richness behind it. The fact that they're all about fair trade adds a special touch. It feels good to know that your purchase is making a positive impact on artisans worldwide. The volunteers is not just friendly; they genuinely love what they do. They're happy to share stories about the artisans and give you insights into how everything is made. Whether you're after a unique gift or something to spice up your home, Ten Thousand Villages has got you covered. I love the authentic feel, the variety, and the fact that it's all about ethical values. It's my new favorite spot, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys handcrafted treasures with a purpose.”
“I LOVE this place!! I've never been able to get any Arknights merch even at anime expo. So seeing it here was so awesome. A lot of genshin stuff too if you're into that. I'm an avid cat girl fan and a LOT of the stuff they have here are cat girls so this place was literally heaven.”

“What a hidden gem! Went in for a perfume and was so surprised by how big the shop was from the inside.
I had a very rough idea for the scent that I like although I’m sure I left with an elevated taste for perfume! Thanks to Daniel & Alfredo who are so helpful & patient.
They carry a wide selection of fragrances, priced for different budgets, natural or extravagant scents - they have it all! I couldn’t help but take two ?
You can literally find a NICE gift for everyone in the family at this boutique. From your boujee mama, to your punk rock teenager. It’s a one stop shop. Check em out! ?”
“We went to Leanna Lin’s last month and felt the need to share a positive review! The shop is small but filled with so many cute goodies and collectibles from AAPI artists. I loved the cards and books in many languages, and especially appreciated the ones in Tagalog. The sales associate at the counter was also friendly and warm. The biggest perk of this shop (and a major reason we’ll choose to go to her business over others) is the affordability of collectibles. Smiskis/Sonny Angels are marked up like crazy in so many places in LA and she sells them at a reasonable price, thus allowing for increased accessibility despite its extreme popularity. It makes the drive up here from the west side worth it. Highly recommend going here for the large selection of collectibles!”
“Such a delightful little specialty store in downtown Sierra Madre madre. Liz is always a treat to see. The store is stocked With lovely soaps, candles, and some of the best
specialty foods. The owner really takes pride in finding unique items. Great for any kind of gift from weddings, holidays to birthdays.”
“I had such a great experience at BoxLunch thanks to Michael! He was super friendly, helpful, and made sure I found exactly what I was looking for. You can really tell he cares about the customers and loves what he does. He made shopping fun and stress-free. Thanks for the amazing service.”
“Oh my where do I start. This is my favorite artsy shop in Old Town. It’s very original!
The owner Jill has a wonderful eye for unique treasures. The staff are kind and the location is beautiful. They have expanded for more art. Visit and see for yourself!
Get ready for the holidays.?♂️”
“very beautiful store. a lot of interesting. very kind staff. I think this store brings good luck, I really like it! I bought myself some very high quality amulets!”
“I've ordered from this location several times and decided to pay a visit as I was passing through California. I'm so glad I did. I was able to purchase a Hangyodon plush in person. This store has every character in stock with the exception of Usahana. She seems to sell out quickly. They are an officially licensed Sanrio store so you know you will also be purchasing items from Japan as well. This is one of the few Sanrio stores that is super organized and very easy to shop. Glad we made the visit.”
“The store is astonishing, with something new to discover around each corner. The art and crafting are exquisite (and surprisingly affordable), and Erica impressed me with her knowledge, generosity and deep understanding (and explanation) of the spiritual roots of the pieces on display. Thank you so much for giving your time and patience to a poor, adrift Kiwi, and for sharing the treasures of your home with me. No puedo esperar para visitar la ciudad de mexico ahora. Mauruuru koe mo nga mea katoa, e hoa.”
“Stop by for stocking stuffers and unique presents they've got a lot to choose from! Ranging from niche books, aesthetic composition notebooks to trinkets. A personal favorite were these sassy air fresheners and silly toothpicks. I guarantee you'll find something for everyone even if it's a small item. In the area there's lots to enjoy like vintage diners, shopping centers, and eateries.”
“The LAPhil store is located in the Walt Disney concert hall. It is an adorable little store which focuses on what the LA Phil community would like to see and purchase. There’s merchandise related to the music performed and for music lovers from a very young audience to the older generations. There are inexpensive and expensive items to choose from. It is very elegant and can easily accommodate many people; and it has selections for yourself and for gifts to give such as mugs, magazines, magnets, albums, cds, record player, earrings, necklaces, shirts, books, instruments, purses, stickers, and jewelry. This store celebrates the years Dudamel has been the director and conductor for the LA Philharmonic ❤️??”

“This place was amazing! They have something for everyone and it's the perfect place to buy gifts! Stephanie was wonderful and so patient with all of my questions and the fact that we couldn't stop buying things at the register lol. The plants were so beautiful and well taken care of, I had to ask her if they were real (they are). I'm definitely going back!”
“Best cultural center with many activities. They have a festival that is FREE to to all for all. The next one is October 15th, 2023. The knowledge wisdom and love is felt and there are soooo many beautiful things to explore. Its a cultural center, store and a museum in one place.”
“Guys, are you still shopping at party city and places that will break your wallet for parties!I discovered this place while coordinating prizes while volunteering two years ins tow for the school fundraiser.”
“When I shop for gifts outside of my neighborhood (East Hollywood), Retreat is my go-to. Diane, the owner, has curated a wonderful collection of jewelry, art prints, cards and fun gifts for virtually any occasion. Despite this shop's relatively small size, it is packed with goodies. My go-to is always the card section, where I invariably find a card for an upcoming birthday or, even better, the perfect card for a friend who could use a pick-me-up or a good laugh. My stationary drawer is packed with Retreat cards that I've got on the ready and I am very grateful. There is a great range of options in terms of price. You can find very fun patches and charms for around ten dollars. If you are looking a bit higher-end, there is a lovely collection of jewelry: but you are definitely paying for quality work that will be appreciated. Diane and the various employees are invariably friendly and eager to help you find something perfect for your friend or family.”
“Such a cute fun store--a real gem in the city of Monrovia! I always find something new every time I come in here. I often need a gift and this is the first place I come. So many beautiful pieces of jewelry, wonderful candles, great table decor. I can always find what I need at Charlie's house. Kristin is kind and thoughtful and will help you find the perfect gift. You can find special gifts here that you can't find anywhere else and the prices are great!”
“I always love to come here when I’m in the area. I know I can always find cute gifts for friends and family and of course for myself! They have an assortment of cultural tshirts, books and so many more items. And while you’re in the area pop in for a taco and or a cold beer at the neighboring businesses.”
“I absolutely LOVE this store, have been coming here for about 25years, its much smaller now but the same lovely people inside. The original Hello Kitty store of boyle heights♥️”
“This is the best shop in all of Little Tokyo. Super legit, non-touristy at all, and filled with really cool books, prints, antiques and sculptures. The owner is great to talk to and is really passionate about the community. I now have a ton of recommendations for art and cultural events in the neighborhood! The store is cash only, so make sure to come prepared.”
“A one of a kind modern day curio shop and my favorite stop in Pasadena. From wax seals to taxidermy there is an endless supply of unusual bespoke objects. The owners of the Gold Bug are as curious and delightful as the object they sell and always make for splendid conversation. Keep an eye open for special events hosted in the store!”

“Ordered an arrangement on valentines day morning to be delivered (yeah I'm that guy). Wound up driving to pick up order around 6PM since I was worried it wasn't going to get delivered. Staff was very kind and helpful in spite of the craziness. Quickly found my order under a valentines day avalanche of flowers and fancy fruits and sent me on my way. Wife and daughter loved it.”
