While some customers appreciate the low prices and friendly staff, others have had negative experiences. Prices have increased, and some customers feel they face microaggressions and discrimination, especially African-American customers. However, the store has improved its selection and variety of products, including a better variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and frozen items. Overall, Grocery Outlet provides a convenient and affordable shopping experience for many, though some customers may have concerns about the treatment they receive.
Prices went way up when the pandemic hit in 2019/2020. They never came back down in my opinion. Overall, they prices are making my routines more affordable.
