“I always purchased from Genes Mkt. One day I asked the butcher where they got them from...the rest is history. When you see and enter the shop it's like out of a scene from The Soprano's. They have the glass cases, the refrigerator storeroom in the back, and the processing area to the left. Very minimal, old school. The best. I always place my order ahead of time and they have it ready. Hot or mild, in the casing or bulk. Family run and owned. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You will be kicking yourself in the butt for not knowing about them sooner. Oh, by the way, the sausages are delicious !!”

“I have never been in a grocery store so clean and friendly. Produce is so decorative, the organization and displays are amazing. Mostly bi-lingual but no discrimination. Everyone is treated with love and respect. Offered help multiple times while walking in the store. Meats and fish are super fresh. Well displayed and pricing is very good. I took home shrimp and salsa. Everything is fresh and I was seriously impressed. Staff were amazing Will continue to being a patron based on this. Make sure to lock-up the car though due to people cutting thru the parking lot. I go there for the best fried pigskins around.”

“I like that the store is open late. Also nice to be able to buy meat already cut up for carne asada. It was tender even cooking in a pan. The pre-made Salsa Verde and Salso Pico de gallo were good. Next time I am going to try some of their other pre-made salsa and pickled items. The cashiers are always friendly.”
“I went in for some tamales and rice/beans. The lady at the counter was very helpful and polite. Chicken tamale was ok, more masa then chicken (for me that's fine) Rice/beans was good.”

“The ambiance is simple. The food is great and there is a variety of selection of meats. Also, friendly & simple service. Food was good, although i didn't get too eat inside because i was waiting, the food was still good. Will be going back soon & if i have further notes i shall add onto this. Good too know there is a shop like this near the area i am at.”
“This place is not as bad as other "Yelpers" are making it to be, however this place can use a slight face-lift. It's not necessarily a place to do your full blown shopping. Items that are "popular" to the so called American customers and not so much to the Brown Indigenous (Native American/Mexican,etc) yes those items will obviously be outdated. I mainly go there for the queso fresco Mexicano and purple corn tortilla and at times I get other items that are likely to be in high demand GET IT. For example I won't go to an "Asian" market to look for tortilla or Tapatio hot sauce WHY because I know at that particular store it's not in HIGH DEMAND!!!!”
“I came here solely for the taco nadas and left with pizza nadas as well. They are $2 each. These savory pastries bring back so many memories from high school. My friends and I have been eager to have a taco nada again and I was happy to have found this place! The lady who was working was very welcoming and nice. They do have a few other snacks whcih I'll come back another time to try.”
