“I wanted to support a local landscaping supply business, but my visit to Evergreen Supply was frustrating. While they carry a wide selection of soil, rocks, pavers, and other materials, customer service felt inconsistent and unhelpful at times - staff didn’t offer much guidance when I asked questions, and I was left waiting without clear answers, even though the yard wasn’t busy. The outdoor area also felt messy and disorganized, making it harder to find what I needed. Pricing isn’t clearly displayed, so I had to ask multiple times, which slowed down my visit. The location has potential, but my experience was more stressful than it should be, and I left disappointed rather than confident about future projects.”
“If I could do 10 stars! My older parents, upon the recommendation of their neighbors, decided to skip the big box store experience and instead went to Almaden Valley Nursery. The staff was incredibly patient with my dad, and very competitive from a pricing perspective. If you want a hometown feel, great plant knowledge and a wonderfully supportive experience, this is your place!”

“A plant lover’s temptation zone –this nursery has a well-curated selection of outdoor plants and staff who are genuinely helpful. Spotting a rare Hoya felt like finding a green treasure. Of course, we ended up picking more plants than we could reasonably carry, and the staff kindly offered us a tray. Everything looked healthy and well cared for. And the fact that it’s an easy walk from our place? That’s both convenient and dangerously inviting.
Safe to say, we’ll be back for leafy additions soon.”
“They have everything from tarps and parts to build a custom canopy to tools and garden supplies. They have ALL of the name brand products for your specialty hydroponics and in soil gardens.”
“I had to get pavers and Thomas was helpful on locating the exact ones I needed and also mentioning the paver sand that I also needed for the project. He also helped me load onto the cart and onto my car which is a lot of work and I’m very thankful! Thanks Thomas!”

They even assisted me in loading it into my car, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The quality of the plant is excellent, and it’s wonderful to support a place with such a positive mission. “Stopped by to get a gift for my friend's grand opening party of her new business. The space is kind of cramped but lots of options here - bamboos, orchids, money trees. They even had heart shaped bamboos! Lots of pot options. The money trees were either really big or really small at the time I went since they were sold out of others. I opted for a bamboo bundle which cost me $30 total for the bamboo and the pot. I think that's not bad. My friend loved it and when I came by her salon a couple weeks later, it looked great in her space. Still green and alive. Service was friendly. I took a while to decide what I wanted but the salesman was patient and helpful. I paid in cash. Saw the other lady who purchased a giant orchid pot also paid in cash, so I'm not sure if they accept card.”

Watching him help not only me but several other customers with the same level of professionalism and kindness says a lot about the person he is. “Home Depot has FREE monthly kid workshops where you can make a certain project, the first Saturday of each month. On the website, it shows what craft will be done. We arrived around 915am and it was already packed with families. We were all sitting in the front of the store, like once you walk in. You check in and receive your craft kit. I didn't know what to expect and thought the class would be guided but it made sense that it wasn't since you can arrive at anytime. The kit had clear instructions and all necessary materials. Supplies were on the table such as a hammer, wood glue, paint brushes, etc. It took us about 15 - 20 minutes to finish the project, it was a great bonding experience. I would definitely come back for another cool craft. My only complaint would be is that they had us sitting on painter buckets that were upside down, not even with the lid on, so that was pretty uncomfortable!”

“This store is hidden behind a Best Buy. It’s easy to miss the almost secret entrance as the front of the building is only visible at the freeway but not the street. Came in for an iron and came out with an iron and countertop ironing board. I was in and out. Options were not much but I can always depend on this store for essentials.”

With all the local government allowances, 5150 transients living along the creek, tight location, heavy concentration of people in general with no room, basically.....crap they have to put up with....they handle it very well. “wow, can't believe so many people came on a Sunday today....the busiest I have seen it (I usually go weekdays, and there is still a crowd). I was so happy to see passionfruit for $12.99! I got a starter passion fruit plant about 1ft tall, just to give my garden another passion fruit. YAY!!! Good price and good height. I cannot find this plant at this price at yamagami's or Summerwinds, so I am glad I went here today..
update July 2026: darn, so sad to see the passionfruit that was 12.99 in early June now 16.99!! what a bummer :(”
