“I walk by Tags quite often and noticed they have very stylish clothes. I went by to donate some clothes today and met Lynn, the founder. The place is very well organized, clean, and nicely decorated. The shop feel very cozy. I like that Lynn took the time to go through each item I donated to ensure the clothes were in good condition. It is nice to know that my gently used clothes are going benefit the younger generation. Tags is truly a very stylish thrift store where you can find treasures.”

“I'm not one to leave reviews, but this place should get noticed! Found an awesome deal on a used mannequin here. The owner, Judi, has a fun personality and is really knowledgeable and helpful in finding what you're looking for. A good selection of mannequins to choose from. These were actual real store mannequins and you can't beat the price. Don't buy one from Amazon. Well worth a trip to her Oakland warehouse to pick one out. I would definitely go back. Thank You!”
“Many hidden gems here. Get there early, so much to see and all proceeds support the Oakland museum of California. You do need to really take your time though. So plan for a half a day at least. No junk, great finds.”
“Love this place! This is my Sunday stop after church. Michelle is such a sweet and kind lady. And let me mention the books, from educational to novels of romance. If you want to rewind back to 1999 this is the place to go!!'”
“Very personable and friendly staff, a lot of great valued finds- clothing, household items, baby clothes, food items. Thank you for providing this service. ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
“If you are over 50, or a "real senior", the Mastick Senior Center is a great place for a variety of activities. I, personally, love Line Dancing, Zumba and Yoga. Come and make friends while staying healthy.”
“A magical thing happened...
I ran here as fast as I could Saturday night before they closed at 6pm. I found it on Google maps and saw from the pictures that they had a much better jewelry selection than most other second hand stores, and I had been looking for a necklace with big black beads for my kpop demon hunters bird costume for weeks. I didn't make it. I was standing outside the closed door at 6:04ish and saw through the glass two necklaces with giant beads. Yay! I thought I'd come back on Sunday but they didn't open again until Thursday, so I mime-begged the owner to open the door (soooo bad, I know, but the necklace was perfect, I had looked in local shops and stores for the last month, and I wasn't gonna be able to make it back on Thursday). She did a VERY kind thing by opening the door and letting me come in and buy the necklace! The price was really reasonable. I was so elated! I still am just thinking about it. It meant a lot to me that she opened the door when she absolutely did not need to. Will try to remember to post a picture of the costume with the necklace here later.”
“Always some fun new rotating items! Makes me feel like I’m at the able sisters shop from animal crossing with their displays changing. The staff/volunteers are friendly and make good conversation. Decently priced home goods too!”
“Dress Best For Less is my favorite place to thrift in the East Bay. Great prices and a really varied selection of designer along with great everyday pieces . A plus is that it is a non Profit benefiting kids in the community. Thank you Dress Best For Less”
“Great place to shop. Whenever I'm looking for something special, I go to the discovery store in Oakland. I am always pleased and amazed at the selection! Check it out!”

“Been here 2 times now and it was pretty tidy, better than a lot of retail stores nowadays only issue is some things were packed so tight it was hard to flip through items. The cashier who was working this past Friday and Monday with the cute braids and absolutely sparkling personality needs a raise, she absolutely lights up the checkout counter if not the whole store with her energy! I hope she stays blessed too!”
“We were driving by and decided to stop by here. There's a small parking but there is a lot of street parking. This store is really clean and was fully stocked. There were a lot of new items. I noticed the store was well organized so it's easy to find things. The book section was really good highly recommend. The people who worked here were really nice. Overall had a great experience.”
“I come to this place all the time, and i have just about always been able to find exactly what i was looking for. store is clean and today, prices are clear to see, and they have a lot of sales during the year!”
“This is the best place to donate. It's a good cause and the volunteers keep the shop clean and maintain a good vibe. They are starting to price a bit high. Some things are higher priced than new in the store. Other than price they get a 5”
“This is a very cool place for the community. There is a plethora of random freebies outside, and inside is a curated shop of hidden vintage treasures and beautiful plants for sale. I love the concept of both inside and out! Outside you have to dig and that is so fun, and I especially like finding bits and bobs for my many art projects. Inside I have found beautiful plants and some really nice decor at a reasonable price. I always enjoy chatting with the owner and she will give you good tips on how to care for your plant.”
“Donating my clothes is easy, and I always find something to take home with me. Compared to your more typical chain thrift store, I appreciate how well layed-out the store is. Items are organized by size and color, racks aren't overpacked, and backround music is quiet. It makes for a much more pleasant experience. I also enjoy that they always have tag sales on their items that have been around a bit longer, as it ensures you can always find a good deal!”
“Stepped into Cosmo Thrift on an East Bay thrift outing from the city and it was such a nice experience. The gentleman was kind and helpful.
Prices are the lowest I've found of any thrift store in the area. You have to dig around but I found some really great stuff! They have a lot of items.
They seem to have tag discounts everyday. Definitely worth a stop. I'll be going to Cosmo thrift a lot more often!”
“cute items for home clothes and accessories. priced well! i may come shop and donate
here! proceeds go to
women in shelters. great mission and vision and style!”
“I have been to this Goodwill countless times over the last 6 weeks to drop off items. The very first time I was greeted by Delvon who was helpful, friendly and working hard. I had the pleasure of seeing Delvon often who was continually welcoming. Over the course of my drop offs I was also assisted by Rashon and one of the managers, Dot. There were many other workers who were equally as efficient and welcoming. I highly recommend this goodwill store to anyone needing to drop off items. They are organized, helpful and a pleasure to see! Thank you to a great team!”
“This was a great shop for thrifting! The clothing selection is small, but it’s all well gone through because the clothing is quality for a really great price. Shirts were $3 and jackets were $5. There are also furniture pieces, pretty large and brand new! The cashier was really kind too!”
“My favorite East Bay Goodwill store. They seem to get good stuff more frequently than other stores.
Update: All the Goodwill stores have changed as the market has changed. It's getting harder and harder to find good non-clothing stuff.”
“Everyone on the staff is very helpful & friendly. Love Eco Thrift. It's my go to for various items. I gotta say? It's the best thrift store in the entire Bay Area, There's also one in Sacramento.”
“No return call; couldn't speak with anyone Despite that they've always been an incredible organization. I'll definitely deliver my precious goods to them myself, sometime in the near future”

“Sweet workers, the prices r really good and they have a changing room to try on clothes. Plus the stuff they have are usually pretty good, always left with more than I intended to buy ??”
