“The store was clean and organized. The merchandise were clean and in good shape. I especially loved their book section. It was very organized and easy to browse as they were alphabetized by the author's last name. The team members were friendly and helpful.”

“I've read most of the reviews here and want to offer a new facet in the way most of the reviews are critiquing the volunteers. Had anyone considered that the unhappy grumpy volunteers could be program recoverers? These women could be survivors of trauma and they get hope while working there. We really do not know what someone has been through. Maybe we need to look at their giftings, etc. And compliment them with our smiles and generous words of encouragement, or a fun joke, etc. Take a risk to cheer, uplift and leave sparkle. I had a career in retail and most customers expect you to be their therapist, wailing wall, servant, or doormat. Our first world problems are so small compared to other places, aren't they? Chin up, cheerio and sparkle for someone else who may need it. :-D”

“Donation drop-off - Carried my donations inside as the one employee was helping an elderly man. She welcomed me with a smile, kindly told me where to place the items, and where to get the donation receipt.”

“Love this place! This is my Sunday stop after church. Michelle is such a sweet and kind lady. And let me mention the books, from educational to novels of romance. If you want to rewind back to 1999 this is the place to go!!'”

“First of all, I am grateful that stores like this exist. As other reviewers said it is a bit chaotic in there, but there is a rhyme and reason to how everything is organized. Although the selection is small, they do have every size for both boys and girls and the condition of everything I've seen from clothes, to shoes, toys, gear, and books has always been good to great. I've never left without finding something wonderful. I think the prices are very fair, maybe a dollar or two above thrift stores, sometimes on par with thrift stores. I have both purchased things for my son, and sold baby gear (clothes, swings, a pack n play) that he's outgrown. She is currently only giving store credit, which again I totally understand as I imagine retail is rough right now. A phone number would be helpful as I always want to check before loading up bigger items, but she's always been open during store hours and I have never regretted a trip down. Also it would be great if you could share what you're currently in need of, so regulars could more regularly pop in with new inventory.”

“This is a great little thrift store located across from Lafayette Park. There is a large variety of clothing, including men's clothing. There are lots of toys for kids of all ages.I went there looking for a choker necklace. However, I found a beautiful bracelet and lightweight animal print shawl. They have lots of helpful volunteers. The profits go to local charities. --”

“AMAZING. They have so many good finds vintage, new, and y2k. You definitely have to hunt but it's worth it. They have cute little carts you can push around which are convenient. I got like 20 things for $60 which was a steal. Very good color tag deals and low low prices. Apparently you can coupon online for more savings! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING ETC.”

“This is my fave consignment shop!!! I found a beautiful crystal necklace that I will wear on one of my next adventures--oohlala! I also found some boots and a jacket that my friend might like. Divine Consign has lots of very unique items--clothing including jackets and coats, jeweiry, hats, and shoes that you probably won't find any of your friends have. They accept items for consignment, but it is important to ask Joy what they are taking before cleaning out your closet. They are a high-end consignment shop that we are fortunate to have these days. Go in to get presents for your friends or for giving a gift for yourself!!!”

“Second-hand store where the profits go to benefit, I think for the elderly.I feel like it's "on another level". Very organized, with very good prices and a wide variety of items. You can find furniture, paintings, clothing, shoes, toys, decorative art and more.I found it by chance but I have already added it to my must-sees periodically.Oh and you can donate things for sale. They receive them from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. but if they fill up, they stop receiving that day so I advise you to go early.”

“This is the best place to donate. It's a good cause and the volunteers keep the shop clean and maintain a good vibe. They are starting to price a bit high. Some things are higher priced than new in the store. Other than price they get a 5”

“Great help from the staff. I needed a walker for my Mom but didn't see any until I asked. Debra showed me where there were and helped me pick the right kind. She understood what I was going through with my Mom and made getting the walker enjoyable. A few minutes of compassion made my day since sometimes you feel alone when it comes to caring for your sick parents. Thank you for your support Debra. This place is fantastic I always receive excellent service from everyone and I appreciate all the volunteers”

“It's a great place and I've never experienced any rudeness from any of the volunteers(as described by some other customers).I like shopping so that nobody bothers me, but if I need help, I can always find someone to help without any problem. They have a nice selection of high end pieces and some vintage stuff. It's always a treasure hunt.”

“What a nice thrift store this is. Employees are very nice and helpful. Lots to choose from in the two locations (right across the parking lot from each other). One had clothing, home goods, jewelry & books and the other building has furniture and paintings etc. making donations is easy too. We were sad that the location in Fremont closed down about a year ago but have liked going out to Pleasanton and exploring a different location. Prices are good!”

“Great small-medium size nonprofit store, clean and well-kept with polite and friendly staff (volunteers). Good organization with almost all good quality / gently used pieces. (Always nice when stores do quality control.) If you like books, make sure to check out their art books, cookbooks, kids books etc. Best bets today were women’s clothing & accessories.”

“Sometimes find a good deal, other times just dig through clothes and little nicknacks and other items... Savers is a pretty decent store and I think at the very least they do a better job of managing their business than other big chain thrift stores. The people I have interacted with here are friendly, and the folks at the donation center are especially nice and helpful.”

“They take your stuff no questions asked.FYI no plushies, no pillows.Keep in mind that the receipt is optional, in case you ever want to save some paper. You have to fill in the value of the donation (honor system) yourself for tax purposes.”

“I’ve shopped a lot at thrift shops and Plato’s Closet in Pleasanton has a great selection and prices. I’ve found dressy, casual, hiking gear and super fun jackets, you name it! I’m kinda surprised by the reviews and their complaints.”

“Well organized and mostly sections have same colors clustered together. Instead of individual price tags per article, the attire type is priced - like $8.99 for dresses or $12.99 for jackets There are color tag discounts depending on the day/week Found a great condition lace dress to wear to a wedding! Cashier was nice and also gave me a flyer/coupon for a % off a future purchase”
