“This business goes above and beyond for customers. Years ago when they were at their old location, an OUSD high school student of mine was interested in clothing design and small business. My husband liked this brand, so my student and I reached out to Oakland’s Own’s owner. Right away, he was receptive, warm, and encouraging.
We’ve since bought shirts and a jacket for ourselves and family.
More recently, I ordered kids’ clothing. They communicated a restock delay and EVEN BROUGHT IT TO ME to make sure I could gift it in time to out of town family.
I can’t recommend this business enough. And everything we’ve ordered has always been fire. The designs are hella unique and consistently great quality. Plus it’s run by good folks!

“Let me begin by Saying Thank you! Muchisimas Gracias. From the bottom om my heart to these ladies. They were amazing with me. There are no words to describe the gratitude, I have with these women. I am forever grateful to the owner, her daughter, and employee during my visit. I was looking for a princess dress for my mother's funeral. She wanted to be dressed like a princess, when she is layed to rest at her final resting place. I went in there feeling overwhelmed, not knowing what to get in her size( plus size) white dress. Not wanting to be there with that responsibility. I didn't find a white dress like my mother wanted, but could have had it if I wasn't in such a rush. ( they can order it in different sizes and have a great selection) The dress we picked out was champagne colored dress I called my sister, ( she loved it) but mentioned that mom hated to show her arms. These ladies said no problem we can tailor it with the same material as the dress, giving it sleeves that come down the arm. I left there feeling absolutely happy, I had met these wonderful, amazing women, and that they were there for me, when I broke down in tears . The owner also cried with me and gave me a gift that I will bury my mother with. A beautiful Rosary. She even gave me a great discount on the dress. Begin there is a memory, I will have with me, always. If you are looking for nice quality dresses, good humble people who care and have compassion for what they do , please stop by and check them out. The following day, we were told by the funeral home that a see through sleeves would have to be covered, her arms and neck would have to be covered. Not knowing what to do I went back to these ladies, they made a silk shawl that would be able to wrap, her arms and neck up as necessary. While I was there, I also picked out a crown, so that it would complete her outfit. She looked wonderful, everyone loved her dress and crown. Que Diosito me los bendiga.”

“I went in the gap store in San Leandro. To exchange a jacket I was given for Xmas they didn't have my size but a nice. young lady named Adriana helped me find one at two other stores she then called to make sure they did in fact have them she then had them put it on hold for me .. this was great customer service and I greatly appreciated her . “I dont want to place an order to get a new skirt to wear outside with the mister. I don't want my clothes to look like everyone else's. I inquiries like "where did you get your skirt/top/sweatshirt/tee?" I love getting custom designs on cute little bags. How do I scratch that itch? I shop at Threadz!”
“The reason it's not 5 stars is because it's fairly small , hence not a lot of merchandise but other than that, it's a clean store and the stuff is very helpful, at least the staff at the cashier.
Extra points for always having your pick up order ready and figured out, unlike their sister Gap Factory, where the stuff doesn't know very well what's going on.
The stuff is treating the customers like they are shopping in a BR store, not a BR factory store. I wish staff at neighbor Nordstrom Rack had the same attitude.”

“this place is a hidden gem on park st!! the owner is super nice and knowledgeable on the scent collection in the store. my friend and I made custom perfumes and we both love them. there's also a lovely variety of handkerchiefs, tote bags, jewelry, etc. highly recommend checking it out!!”

“Flew into town with no luggage not expecting a long stay luckily this Ross dress for less was not far. Considering the amount of mixed aged Clothing- I was still able to come up with something the location is super convenient next to the beauty supply that has all of the accessories that they don’t I might make traveling without luggage a thing now. “Love Eileen Fisher clothes and am very happy that the only west coast outlet is close by in San Leandro. I always know what to wear, Eileen makes it easy. Have spent hundreds of dollars over the years but the fabrics are worth it. That she accepts all used clothing back for $5 each garment is another plus. Returned a few and got $60 credit. My friend who lives in So Cal always has me take her to Eileen's after I pick her up at oakland international Airport.”

“I purchased some jeans GAP online during at 50% off sale. However, one pair did not fit well and I wanted to exchange it for a slim cut. Not having had to do an online return, I text chatted with a customer service rep and she explained the steps to return the pants, reorder and pay for the new pants and that it would take up to 25 business days for my return to be processed and credit to be issued. Not wanting to deal with the process, I decided to do the exchange at a store. GAP has been closing many locations and stores are few and far in between. Luckily the nearest store was only 9 miles away at the Lakeshore area and I found a parking space down the block.There was no wait and I was able to walk up to the cashier and explained my intent to do an exchange. She said I would be credited for my purchase, but I would have to purchase the new jeans at the current price and not at the price I paid, which didn't make sense. She said she would get a manager to help me. A manager came and I explained my situation and he checked if the pants I wanted was in stock and it wasn't. So he ordered it online and it would be sent to me and processed my return. The pants went down in price so I even go a credit for the difference. I was happy to get my exchange done at the store and not have to deal with the steps required for an online return. It was not simple like a return on Amazon. Though the cashier did not understand the exchange I wanted to transact, I appreciated that the manager made the exchange transaction seamlessly.”
