“This place has been absolutely outstanding when it comes to tailoring my clothes! I have taken a countless amount of clothes specifically pants here to get hemmed in length and to adjust waist size. All I can say is that every pair comes out perfect! If you want high quality hemming for your clothes at a great price I highly recommend Mr. Lee's!! Edit: I forgot I left a review for Lee's co a couple days ago already but I will leave this second review up cause this place is that good!! I just picked up 4 pants today length was perfectly hemmed and the waist perfectly fit me! The hemming and stitching is so high quality you can't even tell it was hemmed! I am honestly so impressed!”

“I never need to directly go here myself, but my husband loves it so I go with him sometimes. He likes to get the rugs there. This time we were looking for some rugs, but we ended up with socks, knives, and incense instead. Spacious boutique shop with unique items from household to kids to beauty to kitchen products. Dog friendly. The cashiers greet you, but usually keep to themselves until you're ready to check out. Great local spot to go to support your local businesses whether you're buying gifts or things for yourself. Easy walk from Rockridge BART or there is paid street parking, and free residential parking. Or bike or bus! Luckily for me, I can walk down here.”

“I lived here in Jack London Square for over 7 years, and I remember when Oakland Supply first opened on either 3rd or 4th Street. Then, it was a small space in a former warehouse building that felt very similar to Oaklandish, which has a downtown store selling all sorts of Oakland-themed memorabilia. The difference with Oakland Supply is that the shop feels more like a lifestyle boutique with an upscale variety of clothing, gifts, and knickknacks curated from mostly independent Oakland and Bay Area artisans. Since its previous location didn't seem to get a lot of foot traffic, I was glad to see that they moved to a new, highly visible venue along the Jack London Square waterfront promenade. I'm also glad to see that they've survived the economic devastation wrought by the coronacrisis and are still alive and kicking, as of a recent visit back to JLS. Inside, you'll find an expanded selection of goods, whether casual or more upscale-looking, and plenty of Bay Area-themed gifts. I'd say the overall vibe isn't so much hipster as it is a certain "urban chic" or "trendy urban smart." The staff here are also welcoming and eager to help. Here's hoping Oakland Supply continues to thrive!”

“I purchased some jeans GAP online during at 50% off sale. However, one pair did not fit well and I wanted to exchange it for a slim cut. Not having had to do an online return, I text chatted with a customer service rep and she explained the steps to return the pants, reorder and pay for the new pants and that it would take up to 25 business days for my return to be processed and credit to be issued. Not wanting to deal with the process, I decided to do the exchange at a store. GAP has been closing many locations and stores are few and far in between. Luckily the nearest store was only 9 miles away at the Lakeshore area and I found a parking space down the block.There was no wait and I was able to walk up to the cashier and explained my intent to do an exchange. She said I would be credited for my purchase, but I would have to purchase the new jeans at the current price and not at the price I paid, which didn't make sense. She said she would get a manager to help me. A manager came and I explained my situation and he checked if the pants I wanted was in stock and it wasn't. So he ordered it online and it would be sent to me and processed my return. The pants went down in price so I even go a credit for the difference. I was happy to get my exchange done at the store and not have to deal with the steps required for an online return. It was not simple like a return on Amazon. Though the cashier did not understand the exchange I wanted to transact, I appreciated that the manager made the exchange transaction seamlessly.”
