Miguel, the mechanic, did an outstanding job on the alignment. Miguel, deserves special recognition. Despite it being his lunch break, he kindly compromised his time to take care of my car alignment.You can tell he really knows his work and takes pride in doing things right. He was careful, efficient, and made sure everything was perfectly aligned before returning the car. After the service, my car drives smoother and feels much safer on the road.

Francisco examined the tire and showed me the nail and crack that made it impossible to repair. When I told him I simply needed something durable, he did not try to upsell me. He inspected my other three tires, said they were still fairly new and in good condition, and assured me that I only needed to replace one. He even suggested checking with my previous tire shop to see whether the damaged tire was still under warranty. His honesty truly stood out to me.
The total was only $159.78, including the tire, computerized wheel balancing, disposal fee, labor, and sales tax. Francisco also noticed that I was missing a hubcap. He suggested buying an affordable set of four from the nearby O’Reilly Auto Parts and offered to install them for free.
No one at the shop asked me to write this review—I simply could not help myself! Honest service, fair pricing, and genuine kindness like this deserve to be recognized. I highly recommend Castro Valley Tire Pros. Thank you, Francisco and the entire team!”

“Had a small leak in my tire. Called them and drove over there, fixed it under 30 minutes and they also checked every tire, as well as the TPMS sensors. Was able to be serviced same day and only 40 Dollars for the flat repair. Needless to say would recommend this place. Way faster than Costco.”

“i got a flat tire the other day and was overwhelmed with figuring out the solution since no bigger stores seemed to have my tire in stock and i’d have to order it. the aaa guy who put on my spare recommended this place and said they could likely repair my tire. i stopped by the next day with no appointment and the guys pointed to park in one of the work stalls. they looked at the tire and could tell that i drove on it while flat and it was thus unrepairable (had an emergency to attend to and couldn’t wait for a tow). they asked about brand preference and luckily they had my exact tire in stock! they didn’t tell me how much it’d be but i didn’t ask either and they were able to change it within ten minutes. it ended up being mid range of what i was seeing online, which is totally a good deal given how quick they got everything done. i’m glad to know there’s a reliable tire shop so close to home; would definitely come back for future needs.”

“Larry’s Automotive is a an exemplary automotive service repair shop. Their honesty and integrity are noteworthy.
Our 2025 Subaru had a reminder to get the oil and filter changed even though we were 3,000 miles short of meeting the milage requirement. Subaru recommends getting the service done every 6 months or 6,000 miles which ever comes first.
After dropping our car off at Larry’s, he called and said the car did not need service. He advised getting serviced when the mileage was closer to Subaru’s milage requirement.
How many other dealers would have gone ahead and performed the service?”

“If you own a Volkswagen—especially an air-cooled vintage Beetle—this is the place for service. My 1966 VW Bug is a daily driver for my kid, so when it developed front-end issues, I needed a shop I could trust. I initially thought it needed a new ball joint, and very few shops can handle that kind of work anymore. In fact, Fremont Foreign Auto was recommended by a wheel-and-brake shop in San Leandro that wouldn’t touch an old Bug.
Eduardo, the owner, quickly diagnosed the problem and came back with good news: the ball joints were fine. What the car actually needed were new tie rods and a steering damper, along with a rear main seal to address an oil leak. Eduardo is a true car guy—he owns a ’60s Bug himself—and he had (or sourced) all the parts needed for a fast, fairly priced, high-quality repair.
What really impressed me was the pride he takes in his work. When I picked up the car, he had also replaced several cheap hoses and swapped out old screws for new ones—tasks that weren’t even on the quote. Knowing my kid drives this car every day, I genuinely feel better having it in safer condition… or at least as safe as a ’60s Bug can be.
I’ve found my forever shop for my Bug. Highly recommend Eduardo and Fremont Foreign Auto.”
