“I had my first free trial class here a week ago and would highly recommend this studio if you are interested in trying out Pure Barre.
My first class was Pure Barre Align with Rachel and the 50 minute class went by quickly. It was not too difficult to keep up but still felt challenging at the same time. I went back for more classes and tried the Pure Barre Classic and other instructors (Greer, Paris & Maya). Both Classic & Align are great for beginners to just get a feel for the class and learn the movements. The studio is clean, the temperature is comfortable, and the instructors are welcoming and helpful. Overall, it has been a very positive experience.”

“My daughter helped me discover this gem by giving me a gift certificate for my birthday. I went with her at least six months later, and was so charmed by our experience. The range and quality of the fragrances made the trip in worth it. Then, the whimsical environment just made it feel like a magical experience. The owner did not disappoint in this regard, and is very knowledgeable about the scents and their combinations. She patiently supported us (without stalking) while we painstakingly smelled (discovered) every fragrance in each beautiful bottle, then she helped us create our own oil roller and lotion tin using our two favorite scents — which have lasted over a year and still smell good enough to be a staple in my purse.
And the prices… let you know she’s been there a long time and is doing it for the love. Total gem! Love this shop! Planning to go back soon.”
“Ruby and Zinzee (sorry about the spelling!) are both so friendly and personable. I love this shop - jewelery and clothing. There are hijabs or head wraps, mugs, and journals, and if you'd like to try anything on, there are dressing rooms in the back. I purchased a beautiful, tall mug that was design by an artist in Sacramento. It's such a unique shop and I had no idea but they've been here for over 20 years, or was it 30? How rare is that? They're family owned, too. Come check it out! When I mentioned that the mug (beautiful women of color all around the mug) will be a gift, for a friend, they placed it in a pretty gift bag and put colored tissue paper in there! It's ready to gift to her now! Perfect. They get merchandise that come in, so come check them out once in a while. They have a sale rack in the back to the right. There are jeans, dresses, tops, purses, small backpacks, hats, etc. Go check them out!”

“There are still truly good people in this world, and Carol at TJ Maxx in Castro Valley proved it today.
My 84-year-old mother, who has suffered several strokes and depends on a walker, was shopping with me when we left the store. As we were getting settled into the car, Carol came out to ask if my mother had dropped some money. Sure enough, she had lost $60.
She could have easily ignored it or assumed someone else would handle it, but instead she chose honesty, kindness, and compassion. In a world where so many people have lost faith in humanity, this moment reminded us that there are still incredible people out there who genuinely care about others.
