“I had a great experience with Fast Automotive Center in San Marcos. After an oil change, I noticed an oil leak around the drain plug, and they inspected it and found that the threads in my oil pan were coming out. Instead of immediately telling me I needed an expensive oil pan replacement, they rethreaded the pan and installed a 14mm drain plug as a more affordable solution. I really appreciated that they took the time to explain the situation and were upfront that the oil pan may eventually need to be replaced if the repair doesn’t hold. That kind of honesty and transparency is exactly what I look for in a mechanic. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and focused on finding a practical solution rather than simply selling me the most expensive repair. They helped me avoid an unnecessary expense for now, and I really appreciate that. Highly recommend Fast Automotive Center if you’re looking for an honest and trustworthy shop in San Marcos. I’ll definitely be coming back for future maintenance and repairs! 🔧👍”

“I’ve had my E92 worked on at HG for everything from routine maintenance to some pretty major and complicated repairs, and I can’t say enough good things about them. Phil is amazing. He’s knowledgeable, straightforward, and genuinely cares about the work being done. What stands out most to me is the level of care they put into everything they touch. They treat the car like it matters, whether it’s a small maintenance item or a much bigger repair. When you have an older BMW that you really care about, finding a shop you completely trust is huge. HG has absolutely earned that trust from me. Excellent work, attention to detail, and people who clearly take pride in what they do. Highly recommend.”

“I can't say enough about how valuable it is to find an auto shop that is extremely knowledgeable, deploys high ingenuity (so need on older cars), and has a superior level of integrity. I wouldn't trust my '78 super beetle with anyone else. They helped me get smog ready and fully tuned up. Solved a painful electrical issue that no one else was able to. Got me road ready! They are doing amazing work!”

“Sal and his team did an absolutely amazing job on my insurance claim. As seen in the photos my 2015 Tacoma was pretty badly banged up by a 75Ft tall pine tree that had fallen on it. The truck which has a great importance to me was treated with the best care that could be offered with the stringencies of working with insurance. I highly recommend taking your vehicle(s) here for any body work, yes the chains may be faster, but they will not do as good a job and that may cost you in the future.”

“Exceptional service. I went in just to test my battery. I don't remember his name, but he said he would run the test and if the battery needed to be replaced he would do it on the spot. The battery did need to be replaced. He quickly removed the old and installed the new while explaining the warranty was valid at any O'Reilly store. The entire procedure took 15 minutes.”

“I needed an alternator for my car and Luis was very helpful and friendly. He verified that they had the 1 part listed in stock before he processed the transaction. He also reminded me that there is a core charge that I could get refunded back to the card immediately. I came back today and Luis was there again. He remembered me and asked if I was all set. I wasn't sure so he offered to come check with the machine that everything looked good. Great customer service experience. Thank you for all of your help!! I would definitely recommend this location. 😊”

I was treated with respect, honesty and integrity during all 3 visits and by all staff. This is rare for females shopping automotive parts and I am grateful. Women are recommended to use this store for honest help and no disrespect in any manner. Thank you Ben Steve and Mike for making my experience less stressful and pleasant due to your great help. I will be back for all my future automotive needs.”

“This is the second time in 2 years my vehicle has been damaged. The first time I chose TAG because they’re local and are approved by State Farm, my carrier. Vehicle damage last time was much more extensive. They exceeded expectations then, so it was a no-brainer to use them again. Again, TAG shined! They completed the work within the time estimate given to me at the start. The repair work was very high quality. The communication throughout the repair by Sabrina was excellent. Sabrina went above and beyond for me. A shout out to Lorenzo as well. Service, quality and communication like this all under one roof doesn’t happen by accident. It takes a TEAM of folks dedicated to excellence. Thank you TAG.”
