Centrally located in San Marcos and recently under new ownership we called the 877 number on line got Anthony. He was a fast talker (my favorite) and explained everything.
However there were a few things I had questions about that were specific to the location. Anthony gave me the direct number to the San Marcos storage manager on site.
Francis, the on site Manager answered on the first ring! She is beyond knowledgeable with the ability to get us in with full transparency. Done and done!
In a world going digital it's crazy to think that my experience with the customer care at Extra Space Storage has made my day.. :)
Moving from my previous place this is saving me about 250$ a month for the same size unit with a 4 month pre pay start up.

“Great experience renting here for the last 3 years! The manager Misagh was always very helpful, understanding and efficient at communicating with us. The storage facility is very safe and secure. Hours are flexible and staff is easy to reach.
Units are always clean and new looking, with enough space down the aisles to where you're not in people's way when loading/unloading. They maintain the property very well. Everything is super easy digitally, so it's quick and easy to pay and make any changes if necessary online. Easy access from the main road as well, but it's hidden enough to where we felt safe storing our items for an extended amount of time. I would definitely recommend this storage facility; it's a hidden gem! Thank you to Misagh for everything!”

The onsite manager is amazing. She is professional, polite, and goes above and beyond what I think her duties entail.
I would like to see their open hours to be extended, especially in the summer. But I'm probably to only one. Plus, it keeps the riff raff away.
If you don't need a climate controlled storage, I would recommend this place. Prices are a little less than the average of similar places around there.”

“Super convenient, very friendly staff. Easy to access and clean facility. Just be sure that you check the measurements before moving in. We rented a 5 x 10 space and it only measures 4 x 10. They say it’s “approximate”, But it’s really approximately 4 x 10 not approximately 5 x 10.
I’d say this is misleading. I would urge ownership to change the documentation, so people know exactly what they are getting. Otherwise good.”

“Made a online booking on my storage unit 10x30 on wrong location thinking I had booked a storage unit in 1531 Montiel Rd cubesmart.
I couldn't get access to gate at 7:30pm
And manager pulled right up asking me necessary questions. and help me change Storage location and get new storage unit plus my refund from other cubesmart location best manager ever. She made my evening great new storage with keys and refund from wrong booking I did. Thank you Krista”
