“We had two unpleasant experiences with two different veterinarians, on multiple occasions with each. We initially hoped it was simply bad luck and wanted to give each of them another chance. The thing is, our puppy was only a couple of months old, and at that point, we couldn’t afford to be quite so magnanimous.
Our friends referred us to Discovery, and from the moment we walked in, Dr. Young and the entire staff were absolutely wonderful. Finally, a veterinary office that didn’t make us wait forever, didn’t rush through the visit, and didn’t make us feel like the almighty dollar was leading the way.
We’re now scheduled for our second visit, and we’re really hoping this level of care and compassion continues. Even our puppy didn’t tremble when we walked through the door—which, honestly, says a lot!
Something tells me my next review is going to be 5 stars and then some!!!”
“Wonderful, kind, and honest service. The vet is very honest about what is needed and doesn’t try to overcharge you for things your pet doesn’t need. The front desk receptionists are very kind as well and are knowledgeable about vet services and different breed requirements/behaviors. I am super grateful to have had my dog seen here.”

“We cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Sacco and the team at Advanced Veterinary Care of San Elijo. Thankfully, due to their thoroughness and compassion, they were able to identify that our Labrador had grown a large mass (even though he was not showing signs), patiently guide us through how to decide next steps, and successfully remove the mass (saving his life!). Throughout all of it, they were so loving to Bert (and patient with my millions of questions). Our whole family is forever grateful to this entire team!! :)”

“Responsive, professional, caring. My dog had surgery and they kept me up to date during the procedure. They realize they are caring for a family member.
We also had two issues with our dog's eyes. In both cases we first sought treatment with our local veterinarian with no success. Dr. Banks was able to solve the problems, one of which had turned into a significant infection before we got to her. She is exceptional at what she does.”

“Dr Ichord and and his entire team looked after and cared for my beloved pets 5+ years ago. I relocated to Vegas and came back 7 years later with my new pup as my others passed a while ago and the vet entire practice etc. are here still. I was so relieved and happy. If that doesn't speak volumes on how great the care for your furbaby is, customer service and operations are Im not sure what will :) coming back this many years later and still extremely satisfied. I called so many vets clinics hospitals you name it the prices were all very very high for the exam, blood panel and more as, therefore the things you want to get many items addressed or done you have to do slowly if on a budget. There prices are way more reasonable and more family minded in my opinion. Dr. Ichord and even the front office team explains everything out to where you don't ever feel rushed, you don't feel like you left missing anything and your dog/animal comes out happy. The appointment is worth the wait if you have to trust me. Riley will always come here :) thank you San Marcos Vet Clinic taking care of us always!”

“We love Dr. Amanda Rodriguez! She is so caring and really wonderful to work with. She always remembers every detail about our dog and he's 14 now so he needs extra care. She is very good about making a program that we can work with and really wants to help our dog feel better. She has been excellent about being available, getting us in quickly, and making prescriptions available. All well being very empathetic, and you can tell she really cares about animals.”
