“I have been to many gyms in my life and have had 3 other personal trainers, and 9Round with Dave and Ovi is hands-down the best I have ever been to! I usually have a hard time motivating myself to go to the gym but I look forward to my 9Round workouts every week. When you enter, everyone greets you warmly. While you work out, trainers and other gym-goers cheer you on and motivate you. When you leave, you're congratulated on a great workout and walk out of the door with a smile on your face. It truly is a wonderful experience from start to finish. Be ready to work, though! 9Round provides a high intensity, full body workout. They also offer body mapping and consultation, which has helped me orient my workout and weight loss goals. Dave also provides me with tons of nutrition tips and challenges that have made a huge difference for me! I truly cannot say enough good things about this gym, so sign up already!”

“I joined OT -- and the Albany, CA studio -- in August of 2022. Its the best thing that I've done for myself to improve my health. Since joining, I've completed nearly 200 classes. The coaches are amazing, supportive and consistently upbeat, but not annoyingly so. I wish I had been doing this workout for the past 25 years.”

“Joe and his team at Pinole X-Fit run a REALLY AWESOME operation. We've worked with them both for gym AND ninja kids parties. BOTH are run with kindness and efficiency, heart and soul. As a customer of the gym "in the old days" I'm confident in saying our local Pinole bootcamp training spot is Better Than Ever! It's an excellent local family business borh as a gym and for special events. The owner is patient, responsible and responsive and gives each step of your membership personal attention and dedication w no pressure or hype.Joe was prompt and hos attention to timelines and commitments are a REAL stand out. “I’ve always struggled to make the best use of a gym membership and stay motivated… given that, I can confidently say this is the best gym I’ve ever signed up for. Classes are small and there’s a friendly and communal feel with people who want to see both themselves and others grow and succeed. I’m definitely at a beginner level when it comes to this kind of training but it hasn’t felt like an impediment. Fabien is a phenomenal and kind instructor, he gives solid individual guidance (classes are small enough for that) as well as encouragement and correction when I’m struggling with form, and he can clearly identify which parts of my body need extra strengthening. He checks in on me in between classes giving tips for at home exercises, stretches and nutrition as he sees health holistically in terms of body, mind and spirit. If you’re looking for a personal trainer he does that too and no doubt he’s a great one. Overall Ownitrx is just a really encouraging atmosphere for getting healthy and I’m so glad I joined. I feel great after every class. If you’re on the fence, don’t wait, or at least come do some trial classes and see what I mean!”

“WOW!!! We were in for a sweaty treat. Charise, the owner and trainer was super nice and welcoming. It was my partner and I's very first time at 9Round and it did not disappoint. She was very patient and took the time to go over all the stations with us while still balancing time to work with the other more experienced clients. She cheered for us and motivated us the whole way through. Definitely coming back!”

“Love this gym! Sachiko and Jenny are great trainers.Sachiko’s past and present experiences have given her the amazing ability to personalize her training sessions to meet her clients needs. From senior citizens (me) with scoliosis to the young athletes. She is well organized and fun to work with. I credit my improved physical abilities to Sachiko and RGym. The Gym is kept very clean, the equipment is well serviced, there is ADA access and the ENTIRE staff is just great!”

“I love Orangetheory Fitness so much that I was beyond sad I couldn't go especially after moving up from SoCal to NoCal during the pandemic. Imagine my thrill to find out that my new house was just a few blocks away from the Shattuck Orangetheory Fitness. The staff are awesome, especially the manager, Van, who goes above and beyond for the members and crew. I love the coaches, especially Noah, as well as the front desk crew. Everyone takes time to learn our names and say hello and goodbye as we come and go. The location is great and the workouts are always amazing in true OTF fashion. “My wife and I began working out at FitVerse with Coach O about 18 months ago. We recently moved to a new area for work and we really miss Coach O and all of the people we met at FitVerse. I have spent much of my life (I'm 65) doing one kind of work-out or another to get fit. For many years I trained on weights, swimming, biking and running to compete in triathlons, completing two Ironman distance triathlons. Coach O designs full body workouts that are exceptional in their balance and functionality. There are two workout cohorts at each class time: one for DW (drop weight) and one for GM (gain mass). Aerobics are mixed in the workouts. Each class runs one hour. Within each cohort the exercises are labeled for rookies (lower intensity, fewer reps) or veterans (higher intensity, more reps). You get all the help you need or ask for from Coach O, and the other class members are willing to help explain the exercises. The class members are friendly and caring, a reflection of the atmosphere Coach O emphasizes. There are many class start times that match up well with the Bay Area lifestyle whether you are a parent, grandparent, single or if you have child duties. Every type of exercise and equipment are used: rowing machines, equipment, box runs, sleds, free weights, body weight exercises, medicine balls, agility drills, bands, ropes, and boxing. Coach O is very knowledgeable about exercise, nutrition, and full of helpful advice and information. My wife and I were spoiled by our experience at FitVerse and all future gyms/fitness plans will forever be compared to the quality of our workouts with Coach O. If you live nearby--Go! You'll feel great and meet great people!”

From the first Rebel Recess class that I took, I have never felt more comfortable (except for the burpees!!) or more welcomed into a fitness space. “Everything I said in my previous review still stands, I just want to highlight how awesome the trainers have been during the last year plus as we've all had to negotiate the COVID pandemic. They've adapted to teaching a mix of in-person and online classes and they've done an excellent job of making things challenging while keeping workouts accessible and adaptable as needed for everyone's personal situation. All of the trainers here are excellent, but most of the classes I take are with Deanna. Training with her is an incredibly positive experience--she is completely committed to helping her clients succeed, and not just in the gym. And on those days when my tank is empty or I'm not with it for whatever reason she's completely understanding and is able to adjust things to meet me where I'm at so I still get a good workout in. A lot of it may be behind the scenes, but she works just as hard as her clients at helping them achieves their goals. Phoenix Gym is an incredibly positive, supportive, and judgement-free zone, and being a member here has been a life-changing experience.”

“Wherever you are along your exercise journey, Redux is a really good gym. The coaches are all helpful and supportive. They lead with teaching then allow you to go thru the motions before we start and you can scale the workout to whatever is more comfortable or effective for your goals. Since I’ve been there, I’ve seen people blossom and grow, including myself, and it’s a treasure I wish I could give abundantly. The gym is right off the water so every workout comes with a gorgeous view, and there are open gym times so if you just want to do your own thing, no problem. Don’t know where to start? “I began training with Stone at OMP right around the new year (2023). My goal was to improve my functional strength, mobility, and flexibility to perform better in my sport, which is jiu jitsu. Since working with Stone, I have made noticeable gains in strength, movement, coordination, power, and range of motion. I've learned so many new exercises that hit muscles that I pretty much ignored for several years while weight training on my own. The progress I've made at OMP has improved my performance and confidence in jiu jitsu competition as well. I feel like I found what I was looking for so far and look forward to even more progress and gains as 2023 continues. I also appreciate how OMP is structured. It is a semi-private personal training set up, which means Stone works with everyone individually on their own program while his clients share the same space and equipment. It works well since everyone gets their own program with Stone's oversight, but each individual gets to work out autonomously unless they need assistance. Everyone I've met so far at OMP has been friendly as courteous too. A few months after I joined OMP, my wife joined as well and started her own personal program. We both highly recommend the facility and Stone as a trainer. Five well-deserved stars.”

“This place is just the best. I've been in the group fitness classes for a month now and it's been so much fun. The people in the class have been going for YEARS and they are all so fun and energetic. Lisa (who runs the classes) is such a chill yet motivating coach. She's funny with jokes, plays good music and helps with your form too. The classes realllly get a tough workout in in the best way possible. Response times were a little lag at first, but the IG DM never fails and I got a response right away, email took just a few extra days! If I wasn't moving away, I would keep going here for years - and I am absolutely looking for a similar workout in my next city - can't say better things about this place!”
