“I have to say my experience at Albany Subaru was stellar. I so hate buying a car that I postponed it for months because no one has four hours to spend at a dealership. I had been looking for a Subaru Ascent and Ricky Riise reached out . I wasn't ready and told him he could reach out again if he wants to but just wasn't ready then. He reached out again, with a reasonable time in between , and I said I was looking for a specific color. He happened to go have both and told me the price and mileage on them. “I initially submitted a CARFAX review (3*) and after several attempts to update their non-intuitive interface and multiple attempts to gain their assistance navigating their website, I am writing this review. For decades I admired the beauty of Porsche vehicles in general but always felt out of reach. Recently (not getting any younger) I finally felt comfortable in purchasing a used Porsche, owned a 2008 for one day and paid nearly $900 to return it the following day (long story). Note: VW of Oakland needs to explain why I received a letter regarding financing since I paid outright to avoid financing.Later not giving up and found a 2006 Carrea at Divinci motors. It had lower mileage than the 2008 by 30+k miles and during the test drive it was much more quieter than the 2008. Drove great, looked great inside and out, less some interior ware; shifter, driver side door and the center drivers seat had a center piece that dropped but later restored during the following.Ended up purchasing but noticed an oil leak the following morning which prompted my CARFAX review rating. Leo (Dealer) reached out to fix it for me even though it was "As Is". Turns out it was the mechanic who changed the oil didn't tighten the oil pan plug properly! Bottom line, I was very relieved it wasn't anything more severe (like the IMS bearing??). Leo was very responsive during the entire process, Pre and post purchase.BTW, I don't typically give a 5* rating to anyone, has to be outstanding service which is rare these days. Perhaps if the dealership had given me a break on the total price or offered to reimburse me for my time and gas driving it back to the dealer I'd go 4.5*.”

“Sadly, and despite increased efforts to protect consumers from scammers, the modern day consumer must be uber vigilant to ensure the quality of the product they're purchasing. This couldn't be more applicable than when purchasing a used vehicle. “My husband's insurance office used to be nearby Autometrics many years ago, so he got to know and trust Edward, the owner. Our family purchased and sold several cars here, and we recommend them to our clients all the time and always hear good things. My daughter got into a car accident with her almost 20 year old car and it wasn't worth it to pay for the repair. She came down to look at some cars we identified on their website, which is super easy to use and understand. The lot is filled with clean title, immaculate cars. We got to meet Edward and his associate Steve in person. So friendly and not pushy at all, but they helped us make a decision by getting to know my daughter and what was important to her. Once we picked a car and agreed on price, Edward spent quite a bit of time explaining each page of the contract, to make sure we understood. As my daughter signed her first contract, wow, adulting, it was a proud moment, and a fun one too, as it was NOT the typical, tense, too long sit down at a dealership. It was a pleasure to sit across the table from Edward, who spent all the time with us that we needed, and not a minute more.I hear some complaining about purchasing used cars and then they have problems. First, some perspective: used cars are sold AS IS, so if you're not sure about a vehicle, get it inspected by your own mechanic, you buy at your own risk. Second, older cars can have issues. That's not the fault of the dealer. If you want no problems, buy new and get a warranty. That said, Ed does a great job making sure the cars are clean. There were a couple of minor issues with the car, so we came back a week later and he took care of them himself, no charge. There's also a 90 day limited warranty, where he will split the repair costs if you use his recommended shop, Super Auto down the street. We already go there, they are geniuses with diagnostics and have lower labor rates than most.I already trusted Autometrics because of my husband's many transactions and referrals, and now, after my first hand experience, I highly can highly recommend them. I wouldn't trust just anyone with my own child, that's for sure!”

“Hey u guys I been knowing Joe over 15 yrs I'm on my 3rd car with him. He has always been honest & upfront. This 3rd ? I got around Xmas time. I had been using uber & lyft for a month and didn't have the whole down payment I gave him $500 down & drove away with a 2010 suv the same day with Arrangements over a decent period of time. The Arrangements DID NOT INCLUDE THE CAR PAYMENT. My payments was pushed out additional 30 days after ? payment arrangement. Shortly after someone hit & ran my suv damaging the thermostat joe replaced for me and I paid later so my insurance wouldn't go up. I have NOT HAD a bad experience with joe.”
