“My daughter just returned from spending one week at this Holiday Inn while competing for Junior Nationals. The hotel also catered food for the team. She was so impressed by the attentiveness of the staff from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the food service. The kitchen staff adapted the menu based on what they observed the team eating, such as not mixing the fruit since the kids were separating the fruit as they served themselves. She also said the food was delicious, especially the breakfast!”

“First off, let me just say this was not the hotel I was supposed to book. I’m in town for a work event and we were all supposed to stay at the Avenues but a few of us booked late so that wasn’t an option. After this trip, I will only stay at the Costa Mesa Courtyard when in town.

I arrived on Super Bowl Sunday and was greeted by Lisa, Ashley and Michael. They congratulated me on my new position and gave me plenty of recommendations for food and fun places to go. They even invited me down to watch the Super Bowl, which I took them up on.

I sat at the bar with Talayah tending with a smile. They explained the menu, their favorites and gave amazing conversation. Talayah turned the volume up for the half time show and I danced with other travelers while we sipped our cocktails and munched on appetizers… for being a thousand miles away they made me feel at home!

Throughout my stay I chatted with Lisa, Ashley and Michael regularly. I met Arthur and Marcos who were quick to help me with anything I needed and always stopped to see how my day was going. And on my last full day I had the pleasure one last cocktail at the Bistro with Vivian behind the bar. Vivian gives amazing conversation with a big smile, making you feel welcome before you even take a seat.

This was easily the best guest experience I’ve ever had while traveling and I will definitely be back! If you’re looking for the most pleasant stay in Costa Mesa, this is it!”

“In the summer my child was taking a class In Front of Camera and she loves it. In the future she'll take other classes when she can arrange her time. The teacher is so professional. The staff there are so nice and helpful. I highly recommend to everyone!”

“Came to OC and stumbled into this neat little dive bar. It's a little hidden in a one way street so we got a bit confused with maps, but luckily there was a neon sign and the parking lot was a dead giveaway as well. It is cash only so we only stayed for 1 hour of pool for $5. Drinks are reasonably priced as well and the staff is incredibly nice and attentive. There wasn't anyone else playing but given it was a weekday it made sense. Overall I'll come back to this place with extra cash in hand when im in the OC again.”

“we are here for a week, customer service is great , asking for towels was easy , friendly staff, easy to get around. The food is ok, the plate you get is enough food for a children. need to have a buffet stile not someone that hands you a plate. other best western have what looks like a egg omelet very good with bacon and sausage and frys. , they do have cereal and other items here. The eggs were a spoon full 2 pc of bacon or 2 pancakes. make it a buffet style. We decided to eat out instead. pool is nice but very salty. must have a salt softener. other then that great place to stay. Room clean, bathroom nice and clean, will come back next year. Work on the food, don't hand a plate out .”

“We had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Santa Ana, and the highlight of our visit was the phenomenal service we received from Kevin at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, Kevin went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable. “We stayed at Sonesta Simply Suites Orange County Airport for five nights during our trip to LA. In hindsight, I wish we’d researched the location a bit more, as it was quite a distance from LA Union Station and North Hollywood. For future trips, we’d probably book something closer to LAX or central LA for easier access.

That said, the experience at the hotel itself was lovely. When we arrived, we were greeted by a cheerful and helpful front desk clerk who had previously lived in Canada, which made for a nice connection! Check-in was hassle-free, with our reservation ready, and the front desk area was clean, organized, and had an artistic touch by the sitting area, adding a welcoming feel.

Our room was spacious and comfortable—possibly because we had an accessible room, but regardless, it offered plenty of space. The room was clean and equipped with a full-sized fridge with an ice maker and a medium-sized kitchenette with basic appliances, which allowed us to prepare a few homemade meals during our stay. This feature was a big plus, adding to the comfort and convenience of our stay.

The location of the hotel is close to a strip mall and a Walmart, making it easy to pick up any essentials. There’s also a bus stop right in front of the hotel with an Orange County bus that took us directly to the Santa Ana Metrolink Station. From there, we could take the Metrolink train to Union Station, which worked well for our trips around LA.

Overall, we’re happy with our stay at Sonesta Simply Suites. Despite the distance from LA’s main attractions, the amenities and service made our visit comfortable and enjoyable. If we have a reason to be in this area again, we’d definitely consider staying here.

“This place is very quiet. Nobody bothers you. I don't see why some people complain on these reviews because when we showed up stay there for a week. It was awesome ???? the pool was nice, if people were in and out. Respectfully,. All the workers were super nice and respectful. We will come back again and not to mention free breakfast.”
