“I brought my RAV4 here after a not-at-fault collision that left it dented and scratched. David and his team provided amazing service, with clear communication and attention to detail throughout the process. They helped me understand and coordinate with insurance to make sure all accident-related repairs were covered. The dent was repaired, the bumper was replaced, and no damage was left behind.
I also had them replace my windshield (a large rock cracked the glass on the freeway), restore the headlights, detail the car, and clean the engine bay. When I picked it up, I was amazed. It was shining, swirl- and scratch-free, and smooth to the touch. The interior was spotless and fresh, and the headlights were gleaming with clarity. It was well worth it.”
“My car was filthy and caked in a months worth of dirt but this team whipped it into shape in no time! My car came away sparkling both inside and out. Be aware, you stay in the car during the hand washing portion and step out during the interior vacuuming portion. Highly reccomend if you want a easy, speedy, quality car wash!”

“Best self service car wash in SB. My routine: start with high pressure soap including on wheels/tires, rinse with high pressure wax, finish with spot free rinse all over. You can do this in 4 mins for $3 which gets all but the micro dirt off.
Then pull forward into the vacuum spots and wipe down the entire car with one or two large microfiber towels. Start with windows (get bone dry), then work on cleaner painted areas up high, finish with dirty areas down low. Move to different parts of the towel as needed. Takes 5-10 mins.
The key to this is it allows you to avoid the dreaded scrubbing brush that (in every car wash) will scrape your paint. Despite the signs that tell customers not to do it, I regularly see people scrub their wheels and tires with the brushes. If you're going to use the brush, at least power wash it first with high pressure soap.”
“Johnny is the bestest! Always respectful, aware, and super detail oriented in his skill and craft. My car feels like a brand new car out of the dealer with the new car scent. Very pleased with the service and highly recommend.”
“Amazing service! Diego he said his name was greeted me with a smile and did my windshields that once were dirty are now spotless and filled my windshield whiper fluid up! Gave him a generous tip and he filled my gas up for me without me stepping out of my car since a month before I had a knee surgery. Thoughtful staff and such a well kept place definitely not your average gas station.”
“I went to get my seats cleaned and I was serviced by an employee named Javier. He helped give me an estimate for the service swiftly and professionally. He was very reasonable about negotiating the price, and I felt I was properly charged. Javier was very personable.
Once my car was serviced, I was very pleased. The interior and exterior were amazing. Definitely worth my money, and the service provided by Javier was exceptional. I would go back.”

“Management of this car wash reached out to me rapidly and gave me a full refund by check. I sincerely appreciate the way this was handled and wanted to update the review accordingly.”
“The store is clean. The people that work there are so nice, helpful and friendly! I go there once a week for gas and car wash and other little things. The car wash is a little questionable sometimes. But the two guys that direct you into it are excellent and friendly!”

“I saw reviews from well over a year ago complaining about this location not allowing people to use the restroom. That must have changed.
I wasn’t feeling well before a one hour drive home after a restaurant and the two men behind the counter let me use the restroom with no issue. I thanked them and headed home. I didn’t have to pay for anything before or after.
Thank you for saving me from a painful drive home.”

“The worst Carwash ever the guy with a beard at the car wash is so horrible. He’s mad at all times at everything for no reason he’s just mad if you don’t like your
job quit do something else.”
“I am greeted by all the staff as if I was family. I really like that and appreciate it.
There’s a little shop inside that has tons of things at reasonable prices.
If you’re late on getting a birthday gift or holiday present for someone it’s a real save.
They have a free coffee machine with hot chocolate, which I never fail to get even in the summer, and ice cream choices, galore, and other snacks, chips, and beverages. They have a big TV and seating area inside and outside there are tables and chairs. It’s a nice place to visit even if you don’t need your car washed! Like a corner store.
A lot of people go to the Cajun kitchen next-door while their car is getting done and the employees park the car on the side when they’re done so you don’t have to rush back, that is a real plus.
Now, as far as the car wash itself is concerned, every time I pick up my car, it looks brand new inside and out.
I used to go to the car wash at the gas station and I thought I was getting a good deal but when I added up how often I was doing that it was cheaper to buy a membership at Santa Barbara Hand Car Wash and I can go anytime I want to and as often as I want to. You can’t beat that.”
“Edit : May 15 2025. 5 minutes on Bay 2 cost me $7 (I timed it). Just saying. ?
They don’t take 20 dollar bills! And no quarters, no credit cards. I guess I’ll have to come back.”

“First time at Educated Car wash. I drive a black F-150 pick up truck. I went on Sunday when it was busy. I paid for the entry level wash which was still $20. The washing of the truck was done well enough. The workers spent as much time washing my truck as anyone else’s. The disappointing and frustrating part of this experience was that they didn’t dry my truck! After it was washed, I was waved away to leave. I figured maybe they used de-ionized water or something like that, but there was terrible water spots all over my truck when it dried. I have used car washes that cost half that price and at least my vehicle was blown dry using air. What a waste of $20. I had to get my truck washed again to get rid of all the water spots. I will not be retuning. And I don’t recommend anyone going here if you plan on buying an entry level wash.
Edit: I raised my review from 1 star to 4 stars. The owner took accountability for the poor performance of my first wash and offered to make things right, I sincerely appreciate that.”
“Fabulous service! I initially hired TLC to detail my car & remove tree sap. My car had a few dings and they offered to repair them for a great price. I’m so glad my car got sap on it so I found TLC, as my car now looks brand new! Oscar was so communicative during the entire process; showing me photos and arranging convenient pick-up/drop-off times. I highly recommend anyone looking for detail care for their car to hire TLC- I promise you’ll be happy you went with them. Thank you Oscar & TLC Expert Auto Detail!”
