“I used to "pharm" at Rite Aid on the Mesa, but about 4 years ago or so, it seemed there were always issues with my insurance not covering meds and I'd take the scripts across the street to CVS and there'd be no problem. I switched all my business to CVS.Over the last several years, CVS gets busier and busier and the lines get longer. Meanwhile, Rite Aid has had a major remodel and looks like it's always empty.So, a month ago, I wasn't able to book a same-day appt for a CVS flu shot and since I was up there anyway, I asked if it would be possible to get one. The attendant at the counter told me she'd have to ask the pharmacist and wait. I watched her help the next 2 people in line and then ask the CVS pharmacist. It was easy to read the pharmacist's lips when he spoke to the counter worker. "Who is it?" he asked, adding "we've already got some vaxxers waiting." She indicated my husband and me and he looked over at us and sneered "No" as he looked us up and down like a Studio 54 bouncer.So, we hopped in the car and drove across the street to Rite Aid, where we walked right in and got 2 flu shots without waiting or being sneered at. I'm thinking of switching our pharm biz back to Rite Aid.”
