“We’ve been coming to this store since our first visit to Santa Barbara, in the 1990’s. Love their fresh wheatgrass shots and carrot juice. Visited today. Hasn’t changed. Such a great little market. So glad it’s still there!”
“Very expensive grocery store.
The closest grocery store is about 10 minutes away.
Parking can be difficult because there are a lot of nearby businesses
TODAY'S UPDATE

“Great location in SB, Trader Joe’s always seem to have small or difficult parking lots to get in and out of, this one is on legendary mode. Still a well kept store with super friendly staff.”
“Nice place. They have good prices and variety of options! And sweets people in whole Santa Barbara. The staff were so friendly and polite it made my whole day. Thank you ? .”
“This place is a one stop shop, Austin and the rest of the crew give Top-tier service, Top-tier food, and has a great selection of alcohol! the Carnitas is bomb here and made through out the day!”
“Awesome store for Indian grocery essentials and many other things! The shopkeeper was so kind. I can’t wait to try all the snack mixes because the Bombay mix is delightful.”
“Trying to stop by this cute little corner store every time I’m in town. I love their unique selection of rare-find staples with interesting flavors. Perfect spot to stock up for a picnic in the park or getting a lunch break snack. Love the store and the people running it.”
“A good mix of local and regional, including Mexico, nuts, veggies including Sunchokes for example, and fun cheeses along with related baked veggie products. All in a former gas station where the south-facing outer stall has table seating to chill out or picnic alongside a flower-shop's cart while augmenting your nearby restaurant/cafe takeouts.”
“The regular burritos are ok to be honest they put too much rice in there.
The cheese burgers are really good with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, mayo and mustard.
The enchiladas were pretty good stuffed with all pastor meat comes with rice and beans.
The breakfast burritos are on point.
I ordered one with sausage cheese and with luke 4 eggs and potatoes!!
The regular tacos are pretty big, taco plate comes with 3 tacos.”
“Amazing store , literally carried all my favorite items from Europe and Asia --- Like Armenian Lavash! Haven't found this anywhere else in Santa Barbara yet.”
“Stocks loads of different types of food and all at great prices. Fab bakery and butchers inside. They also play delightful Mexican music all the time, what's not to like!?”
“New favorite spot for me and the bf!!! While it's off a busy intersection, the interior & exterior is decorated so beautifully you wouldn't ever notice where you are. Serene & peaceful inside & out. Water feature and fairy-like setting on the patio. & the best part: the service! So friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. Loved every recommendation so far. Will keep coming back”
“This place is great. We tried to trick our daughter into thinking we were going here and it pretty much ruined our day at Disneyland. Telling my ex husband we are going to foodland on his birthday has become an annual tradition.”
“Pound for pound the most classic cold Italian sub in SB. Absolute local favorite, I don’t know if I have ever heard a singe person say they don’t love a Tino’s sub ! Owner is cool and always in there, great little grocery shop as well”
“We were on vacation in Santa Barbara, and a friend asked us if we could bring some beer when we came over to visit. This little neighborhood market has a huge selection of all kinds of beer. And a good wine selection and a pretty good selection of spirits. It was also very clean and had friendly service.”
“All i wanna know is where is ARIEL?The ABSOLUTE best sandwich maker!!!
She makes the sandwich the way i like..
Thank you Ariel for your Professionalism....”
“It's always a fun and great experience to wonder the aisles of the Grocery Outlet.
On my latest trips though I have found items that either weren't priced at all on the shelf or mislabeled. Case in point today I bought about 2 dozen items, and just noticed at home that I was charged $ 4.49 for cereal that was clearly marked $ 1.99. I bought two boxes . I was busy bagging my groceries and didn't notice the price discrepancy until I got home. An overcharge of $ 5.00 .
The only reason I bought these was the $ 1.99 price. Disappointing.
These days every $ counts .
Lesson learned and checking my bill before leaving the parking lot next time.”
“Fathi is awesome. Genuinely, it's been a pleasure to have met and built a relationship with him. Great conversations and stories can be had there, along with a wide variety of your "grab and go" convenience needs on the Westside of Santa Barbara. The early bird DOES NOT catch the written here though!”
“love this little market, the cashiers are always kind and helpful and there’s a great selection of stuff for it being so small. they seemingly have anything you need in a pinch: quick snacks, ice cream, lots of drinks, peanut butter, cereal, canned goods, even paper towels and toilet paper!”
“Caldo de pollo is fire! Caldo de olbondigas! Go check out the cook Jesus!
Fresh bread served too!
Definitely an upgrade! Clean and stocked market!”

“Great selection of fresh fruits and produce. We loved the marinated meats! Very convenient and had everything we were looking for during our stay in Santa Barbara! We will be back.”
“So cute! Stopped in for a sandwich, price was fair, more than fair as the food was great. My boyfriend got a sandwich he said was good. I am vegetatiarian so I didn't try his, but the veggie sandwhich was so good. Plus the people working were very nice!”
“Large, reasonably-priced grocery store in the area between Santa Barbara proper and Goleta proper. Fresh meats, deli section, limited selection of specialty cheeses. Large beer & wine selection as well as hard liquor. More expensive labels are only available with customer service assistance. Large produce section with plenty of fruits and veggies. Toiletries and other non-food items you'd expect from a grocery store. Cash, credit/debit card payments. Self-checkout as well as human cashiers.”
“This is a great and very friendly place. It's local, Santa Barbara and Toni, the owner is one of the nicest guy you will ever know. I've been shopping there from after it was was old gas station, late 1970's. What a great job they do. I appreciate them so much.”

“This Trader Joe's is ginormous, the number of products are staggering and there's always something you can count on. I like getting lost in the dessert aisle myself.”
