“I first met Celeste at an Open House she was holding for the Frazier-Lewis house, an historic home close to the SantaCruz Harbor. Having served as President of the Capitola Museum Board of Trustees for several years, I was familiar with the story of Patty Reed-Lewis, the child that survived the Donnor expedition to California, and later moved to Capitola to manage the Grand Hotel, then spent her final years in the Frazier-Lewis house at 2-1130 East Cliff Drive.
