“Currently not a client at this vet office but would love to be! I spoke with someone on the phone a few days ago. I just recently got a puppy and she is due for her 2nd round of vaccinations. The receptionist politely told me that they are currently not taking any new clients due to COVID-19, which seemed reasonable. She placed me on a brief hold and she instructed me to call back in a few days when another vet would be in the office and she may be able to see my puppy! Additionally, she gave me some great advice on taking care of my puppy's diarrhea caused by her diet and dewormer. My puppy is now pooping normally and much happier! Looking forward to reaching out again in the upcoming days to hopefully get her seen for her shots!”

“Dr. Press is amazing! Always a good experience taking our dog to this clinic. Yesterday she was able to see our dog same day for an emergency which luckily kept us out of the ER. Super grateful for their whole team!”

“Our Kara kitty was diagnosed with cancer in her abdomen last month, and there was nothing we could do to help cure her. We made her as comfortable as we could, injected fluids in her everyday, and she had strings of good days, but then on Christmas Eve, her body just couldn't take it anymore. I got referred to Dr. Van Horn and his services from a family member and a couple of friends, and my wife and I are so glad that there are angels on earth in the form of Dr. Van Horn, Zayn, and Jennifer. They were all incredibly kind, compassionate, and professional and in spite of having to play phone tag and change the day of our appointment a couple of times. It's not easy at all to do what Dr. Van Horn did, but he did so with the most calm, kind, and understanding heart. He explained everything to us very clearly and even went so far as to share things about himself and stories about his pets to help us through things. He was so patient and gave us all the time we needed to say what we needed to say. He was gentle with her and helped her not suffer any longer. Kara was in excellent hands with Dr. Van Horn, and I highly recommend him if you are in need of services for your pet in their last moments. It was the most peaceful day, spending time with our Kara on the couch on Christmas Eve, and having Dr. Van Horn help ease her passing, and now we're so relieved that our kitty doesn't have to suffer any longer. Dr. Van Horn even went so far as to make himself available to us if we needed someone to talk to in the future, and if I ever see him in the city, I would gladly go up to him and say hi. I consider him family based on how kind and gentle he was to our Kara. Thank you so much, Dr. Van Horn, and all of your associates, for helping our last moments with Kara be so loving and meaningful!”

“Cat Clinic is the BEST! My cats have been coming here for a long time. Dr David Innes took such good care of my old kitty until the end. My new cat is also a patient of the clinic, I would take her no place else. Staff is also wonderful and kind. Sure, at times they get pretty busy, but I have never felt neglected. I would hope that before someone come on social media to criticize, they actually contact the clinic and discuss the issue.”

“We've been taking our two dogs here for over a year now. They're been great: reliable, helpful, available, competent. It's my lab's favorite place to go! It's not cheap but not more expensive than you'd expect in Marin and they work well with insurance.”

“INCREDIBLE. I cried with relief that there are people who serve our local wild creatures with such love and expertise. Baby mouse is in the best human care available.”

“A competent and respectable vet service operating in San Rafael. It is commonplace that vet appointments are often very difficult to arrange in a timely matter which is not the case with this Vet Clinic. They were relatively quick to get us seen and the clinic is clean and pretty and well organized. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and willing to educate as well as treat. The only problem I have with this clinic is a problem I have with the entire vet business as a whole: for a relatively simple visit I was charged steeply. It's so expensive just to be seen.Maybe I'm wrong but I miss the days when vets tried to save their customers money by avoiding unnecessary half measures and all the nickel and dime extras that you couldn't dream would be on the bill at any point during the visit. But this is definitely a great vet service and I recommend them.”

“Dr. Lommer and the staff at Aggie's Animal Dental Center are the best! There are not many board-certified veterinary dentists in the Bay Area (literally a handful) and we were so lucky to have gotten an appointment here. Our 13-year-old Pomeranian, Coco, has been to so many vet clinics in our attempt to find her high-quality specialized care. She has several health issues, including a collapsed trachea, heart murmur, and elevated liver enzymes, on top of severe periodontal disease. She had a previous anesthetic cleaning before so we initially thought she could get her teeth cleaned at a regular clinic again. This unfortunately turned into a huge fiasco after a different vet could not intubate and even thought she had a throat tumor. Even though the tumor was ruled out, we were extremely hesitant to take her back to a primary clinic and started seeking out specialty dentists. The first specialty dentist we took her to quoted us nearly $10k and full mouth extractions, which we were understandably not thrilled about. This clinic ended up referring us to yet another clinic due to scheduling conflicts, with their first consult being 3 months out. Meanwhile, Coco's teeth were worsening and causing her to cough a lot - we felt TERRIBLE that she was in pain and we couldn't do anything to give her relief sooner. After frantically researching, I found Aggie's and miraculously they were able to squeeze Coco in for a consult that same week. This was the first indication that we had found somewhere special - Aggie's truly cares for animals and will go the extra mile to make sure your pet is seen and taken care of.Dr. Lommer was attentive, transparent, and compassionate during the consult and answered all of our many questions with expertise. It is evident that she is the best in her field and we appreciated the effort she put into studying Coco's medical records from half a dozen other vet clinics to truly understand Coco's health. As a parent of an elderly dog, I get very anxious leaving Coco for any reason, let alone for a major surgery. We walked out of the consult feeling reassured that Coco would be in good hands. Dr. Lommer also prescribed antibiotics in the meantime to keep Coco's tooth infection at bay, which we were so thankful for (other clinics had told us there was nothing they could do). The cherry on top was that Aggie's estimate was significantly lower than the other dental clinic and they also accepted Coco's previous labwork instead of requiring a recheck. We dropped Coco off in the morning on the day of the procedure and Dr. Lommer made sure to give us updates every step of the way (when Coco was put under anesthesia, when x-rays were taken and if there were any changes, how the procedure was going, and finally when Coco was waking up). Even though Coco needed 13 extractions, had some complicated root fractures, and was under anesthesia for much longer than anticipated, we felt at ease with Dr. Lommer's consistent updates, knowing also that there would be a board-certified anesthesiologist on staff to help monitor the procedure. We are so grateful to everyone at Aggie's for taking such good care of her!The 5-star service doesn't stop after the appointment - Dr. Lommer provided detailed medical notes to help us get the most out of our insurance claim. Coco is already making a quick recovery at home and we can finally rest assured that her teeth won't bother her anymore and we will have many more years with her. We highly recommend Aggie's to any pet parents seeking quality specialized oral surgery and/or dentistry needs. We have been through so many health scares with Coco that the higher price is completely worth the peace of mind to know that our fur baby is in the best hands. Dr. Lommer, we cannot thank you and your team enough for what you do! You guys truly are heroes and even though we hope we never have to see you again, we are forever grateful that Coco had such amazing care at Aggie's!!”

“Dr. Commins came over on Saturday to assess my inter-vat aggression issues. It was a great meeting, and I am filled with hope that my 2 cats can eventually have a truce, if not a friendship. She gave so many suggestions, and was really easy to talk to.I highly recommend her if you are having any behavioral pet issues.”

“I was very thankful for the staff helping me to find an appointment so quickly. Dr. Fong explained everything very well and helped calm my fears. Taking time to explain things and give 3 different options for treatment helped me a lot in deciding what to do. I was really nervous as a first time dog owner and Dr. Fong being patient to listen to me about my worries for my dog helped a lot.”

“I was referred here after my dog had an eye infection and my primary vet couldn't see him right away. My little buddy received the best possible care by a friendly caring staff! Had such a good experience I'd consider breaking up with my primary vet. I'd rate them as 5 stars too.”

“Very professional and caring vet. Called about a flea problem and they gave advice over the phone, and then followed up the next day with more recommendations from one of the vets. Thoroughly recommend.”

“I've been seeing Dr.Fry and his team for years. I value their transparency and for answering my silly questions. I have never gotten the sense that I'm being taken advantage of or upsold products or services. Taking my 8 year old lab here is easy, and they treat her well. Keep doing what you guys are doing! ♥️”

“I just took my dog here for TPLO surgery and I was really scared! I wanted everything to go well since my dog is approaching 9 y.o. Dr. Press made this experience so seamless, Winston was eating and drinking the moment we got home. No hiccups. Super clean incision. Scheduled follow ups included in the price. They dealt directly with my pet insurance, too. Thank you a million times Dr. Press and staff! One week out from surgery and he's already feeling like himself again. The surgery, blood work etc was pricey but you get what you pay for. They kept him overnight to observe him and gave me updates. if you've been looking for a sign to get pet insurance, this is it.”

“Outstanding. Dr. Steele was a rock during one of the most difficult occasions my children and I have experienced. Caring, professional, thoughtful, and genuine. If you are unfortunate in having to contemplate and arrange a final goodbye, I couldn’t recommend her more highly.”

“My initial review was posted with 3 stars due to what I felt was a troubling experience for me and my cat. There were several excited dogs crowding the waiting room that scared him pretty bad prior to our appointment, causing a domino-effect that triggered a negative reaction from him since he felt overwhelmed from the start. Rowena reached out to me from the clinic via email and phone to discuss, apologize, and assist, explaining that it's not normally like that. Really appreciate that. The vet here was excellent. FIVE stars for her care. The meds she gave us seem to be working, and my cat is feeling better, which is the overall outcome that I'd desired. I would return. Thanks again, Rowena. The only other thing I'd suggest is better quality syringes for home administration of medicine. The two plastic ones we received to administer his oral suspension each broke after one use, and we have a few days left on his antibiotic schedule.”

“We take our husky mix here and have also taken our foster dog here. The staff is really friendly and efficient. It has also been pretty easy to get an appointment here which we love. They I helped us figure out that our dog is very allergic to a lot of the plants in the area and are helping us treat his allergies with shots.”

“This place is the best. So caring for our (somewhat difficult) 3 year old cattle dog since she was 8 weeks old. I’ve sent tons of panic emails over the years of various health scares whether we’re in town or away and they always respond promptly and really care. Grateful for all the people at Presidio Way!!”

“Dr. Manchester is straightforward and a great partner in our dog's healthcare system. She tells it like it is and we appreciate that. She's also been really sweet our daughter, and at our dogs last visit she giving her one of her parrot's large blue and yellow feathers, which our daughter has cherished ever since. We enjoy going to the Redwood pet clinic and would recommend.”

“BCPH has always been so good to us.They respect appointments and run on time, they’ve taken us last minute for emergencies before, they communicate well, their billing practices are fair. They’ve always been a pleasure. My only thing to note is that in going to them for 2 years, we never once met a vet in person. I’m not sure if it’s a covid policy that was prolonged, but they do not allow people into exam rooms and the vet calls you to discuss results. This never bothered us because we didn’t have any serious issues of concern but I can see why other patients may seek a more in-person interaction.”

“This review is for Amy Pierre who practices acupressure at All Paws. I have known Amy for almost one year and she has worked her magic on my senior dog many times. She is professional, personable and has a special connection with animals as well as an ability to translate what the dog is experiencing to the guardian in lay terms--much appreciated for my unscientific mind. My dog definitely considers her to be one of his best friends and goes bonkers when he sees her. That's a sure sign that she's doing something right!”

“Dr. Schoengart has been very attentive to the needs of our rescue dog, Ozzie. She is careful and caring. The staff is friendly and we always feel welcome. The business has one flaw that I've noticed: sometimes the person who answers the phone (no names!) can sound overwrought and overwhelmed and can make me feel like I'm bothering them by calling! This is just a phone problem and does not reflect the Vet service, which is excellent, but it should be remedied. It's very off-putting. Other than that, we have no complaints about the care at Marin Pet Hospital. They are good, kind humans who really love animals.”
