“I had an amazing experience adopting from SBACC. They rescued Aubrey from a kill shelter after an Uber Eats driver found her wandering as a stray. I called to visit her after seeing her on the website and got an appointment the next morning, and went home with her that day. She even came with a chip, vaccines, hoodie, food, and toys. It is clear they really cared about her and for her. They provided a well visit where I could take her to the Vet within 10 days of adoption in case she picked up anything while there (when I took her in the vet knew her from them having already taken her there) and insured that they would take care of anything stemming from if they found anything. They are even covering a dental procedure recommended by the vet. Aubrey and I thank you everyone at SBACC!”

“This place was so fun! Catnap provides so much cute and silly cats to hang with. And it's not a cafe , it's just a place where you chill with the kitties. The kittens are adorable and would love to come again. The workers are nice, might consider adopting a cat.”

“I love this place, overall much cleaner than 24 Hour Fitness in Cypress/Los Alamitos. The evening hours are however lacking. Closing at 9p is a bit short. Extended hours to at least 11p would be great.”

“My mom contributed quite a few items to the museum 10 years ago including my b e l l y board with many old San onofre surfing pictures with the heart and plan a ukulele and of course toe headed brother and I and my mom dad was probably out surfing longboard. Mom's bored with 14 ft long Redwood Bolsa 75 lb got surf by the Duke! This was 1939 to 19 45 to 1959... practically grew up there in Mammoth Mountain boating surfing hunting. Mom and Dad met at San onofre Beach when they woke up and they're sleeping bags on the sand”

“Here is my review. The staf were friendly, the service was excellent. Price to vaccinate my 13 lb, 5 year old mini dog was $25. for RABIES. ?The facility is clean, and they have plenty of seating for you to wait. If your dog doesn't mind the noise or alot of other dogs and cats around. Mine doesn't, so I waited in my car.The staff will warn you about the wait... I was there for FOUR hours. They are so buisy that you get numbered. They are curtious enough to call ? you that it's your turn since we can wait outside or in my case in my car. ?The parking lot is 5 spaces only so park in the street. It's a residential area, alot of apartments.Next time get there before it opens and wait. Make sure your pet is calm and relaxed and hydrated. I will be back.”

“Nice, clean store. Well organized. Good prices & quality offerings. Unfortunately, they're only open 3 days/week (I thought it was only 2), but I guess the workers are volunteers, so maybe that's why??? Worth the trip if you can do a mid week visit, otherwise, too bad...”

“All in ALL it was very nice place and the space was very adequate for the over 100 people we had at Our 50th Reunion from Banning High School. It was GREAT seeing Old Friends. Post 716 was gracious enough to rent their facility to us for our event and it was a spectacular in my words event and so good to see everybody after all these years and some even had pictures that they had saved from our grade school and Junior High School years as well as High School and that made it even more special.”

“So glad I found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. They were very accommodating after we requested Jake to be our daughters' instructor and both Alex and her brother Jake were able to fit my girls into his schedule during the summer. Both of my girls were fearful of the water, to the point where they would scream when water gets sprayed on their faces during a bath, so I thought it would take them a while to get used to swimming. To my surprise, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how they were able to jump into the pool on the first day of lesson, and even went underwater! I don't know what Jake did but it worked, and ever since then, they looked forward to swimming lessons every week. At the end of their 10th lesson, they were able to jump into the water, float, go under water, and even able to swim a couple of feet on their own. It's too bad Jump Start doesn't offer lessons year round, so we will wait until next summer to sign the girls up again. Also their prices are very reasonable compared to most places, and each lesson is 30 mins long, unlike most other places that only offer 20 mins. My girls have gone with almost all of the instructors there and they were all nice and friendly, they're great with kids so your kids are in good hands.”

“I adopted a wonderful cat through this organization. They brought him to me with litter, food, a favorite blanket, new collar and tag, micro-chipped and he had a vet exam a few days prior to our appointment. They did bring him to the house so they could see where he would be living and have an informal in person interview. The whole process does take a few days. I met him on a Saturday, filled in the application and he was vet checked within a couple of days and he came to me that next Saturday. They take very good care of their animals and know them well. They also keep them forever as needs be. Some shelters ship less adoptable animals to other kill shelters over time. These guys don't do that.”

“HPP Cares took on an overwhelming task in Fall of 2022 with the CalHFA ADU Grants. Although they had to adjust and at times had poor communication or conflicting information, they came through and provided us with all the help and support needed. They took on clients from throughout the state and were able to successfully expand to accommodate. They have adapted well and running a smoother program. Hopefully they can accept new grant funds and clients with the State's additional funding to help more people. Thanks to everyone at HPP Cares!”

“What a good group of people that work here. Two weeks ago I lost my wallet (that was not only designer, but also sentimental) at a restaurant on pine street. When I went back to try and find it, I was informed they did not have it. Some other guests at the restaurant said they saw a homeless person pick up something and walk away from where I had been sitting outside.I knew at that point I’d probably never see my wallet or the contents inside of it again. Well, today I received a call from Sergio, the operations manager with the Long Beach Alliance. One of his team members was out on patrol and found the wallet. They brought it back and was able to locate me through my business card inside. Because of Sergio and his team, I was reunited with my belongings. It means a lot to know that there are good people out there working for the city and making sure the residents are taken care of to the best of their abilities.”

“My wife has been going to the Alzheimer's Family Center 5 days a week for about a year now. I am so grateful for the excellent service and safety AFC provides. I am kept informed of any upcoming changes of the food menu and of events. Feel wonderful that I can leave her there for about 5 hours while I go and catch up on chores to do. Would highly recommend for anyone who is getting overwhelmed as a caretaker and / or needs help placing a loved one in a safe environment.”
