“Love this place! Most people don't know, but, many over the counter health and beauty products are still usable after the expiration date. We have purchased many different items here, from VapoRub, to deodorant, at greatly discounted prices. Shopped here yesterday and purchased Sensodyne toothpaste and Colgate mouthwash, along with Dove deodorant. Saved a bundle, over Full price items in the local grocery or pharmacy.”
“I love this place!!!! Grocery Outlet offers lower prices for some of the same items I would get at mainstream grocery stores. For example, I love apple sauce! They have Motts No Sugar Added Applesauce in the large bottle for $2.99 when the same size bottle costs $5.29 at Ralphs and even $3.92 at Walmart. They offer organic produce for a fraction of the price which is wonderful. Grocery Outlet has great prices on Eggs and they carry both Pasture Raised and Free Range eggs as well! For a little over $100, I get so much food and necessities that I feel like I win every time I leave the store. I'm giving it a 4 star though instead of 5 because I did notice some of the prices were starting to increase for select items. I come here to save money and that's what keeps me shopping here but I hope they maintain their low prices and not become like the rest of the stores out there that are continually increasing price tags. I would encourage everyone to shop Grocery Outlet first before going to other stores to see what you can save on especially in this economy where everything is going up in price. Save yourself some money and shop at Grocery Outlet! (A Part of me wants to Gatekeep this hidden gem but it wouldn't be fair so just make sure you save some items for me when I come shop 😉!!) “Five Below is one of my favorite stores when I need affordable items without spending a lot of money. Every time I visit, I find something useful, whether it’s snacks, phone accessories, household items, seasonal decorations, fitness products, or gifts. The store is well organized, making it easy to browse through different sections and discover new products.What I like most is the variety. There is always something new, and many items offer surprisingly good quality for the price. It’s a great place to pick up small essentials, gifts, or fun items for kids and adults alike. The staff has always been friendly during my visits, and checkout is usually quick and convenient.Of course, not everything is premium quality, but that’s not the point of the store. For the price, the value is excellent. If you’re looking for budget-friendly shopping and enjoy finding good deals, Five Below is definitely worth a visit. I always leave with more useful items than I planned to buy. Overall, a great store with great prices and plenty of choices. Five stars from me!”
“I stopped by this Dollar Tree today to get a birthday card and some candy. This Dollar Tree took over the previous store that was here. I found parking easily in the plaza this store is in because there not a lot of stores open next to it and it's a big lot. When you walk inside, the greeting cards are on the right side of the store like all other Dollar Tree store. I found the two birthday cards I was looking for. I then went to get some candy to put in the pinata for my daughter birthday party. They didn't have that many selection of individually wrapped candy but I got some that I think the kids would like. You can get balloons here as well and they have some good options. If you want to buy gift card here then you can only pay by cash. I wouldn't recommend getting a gift card from here. Customer service here was great for me.”
“Well it is Dollar Tree, lots of inexpensive stuff. Took our 6 year old granddaughter for a little play stuff. Store is fairly clean and tidy for a bargain store. What set it apart was the courteous service to every customer by the checker in our lane. Amber smiled and greeted every customer and handled the long line with efficiency and a smile. This bumped an average rating to 5 star.”
Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.
Daiso, the beloved Japanese retailer known for its variety of affordable household goods, is expanding further in the U.S. market. This week, the company is celebrating the grand openings of three new stores in Texas and California. On Saturday, Aug. 10, Daiso debuted an 8,000-sq.-ft. location in Beaumont, Texas, at Dowlen Towne Center, as well as two Southern California stores - a 6,319-sq.-ft. space in Van Nuys at Mid Valley Marketplace and a 5,200-sq.-ft. store in Westminster at Westminster Center.
Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
