“I am so happy that I visited planter. Sam shop such good deals on all of these plants. Some of the plants came with a free pot, which I am very thankful for the man that works here. Really give me a really good deal and really give me good advice on how to take care of the plants and aside from the excellent service he packaged everything very nicely so that my car wouldn’t get all messy for the drive to LA”
“I went for the Poinsettia tour, and it was great!! The guide was very informative, friendly and I was surprised to find out that they have grown over 40 varieties of those plants. Definitely recommend.”
“Had completed remodeling of my yard, I knew I wanted palms but didn’t know what types and or if there were options for me to use palm trees as a privacy screen for my property line. I had visited the big commercial stores and other local nurseries in North County and either their palms were too expensive or did not have the variety palms I was looking for. Luckily I came across Discovery Island Palms on google and had talked to the owner Joe. He was super knowledgeable and was hospitable for showing me all the different variety palms on his property. The great thing is that he had many of those unique palms in different sizes. Aside from the many types of trees available, I was also very pleased with how healthy the trees looked. In regard to the prices, they were inexpensive and cheaper compared to the big commercial stores. All in all, was very pleased with the palms I bought and would recommend anyone looking for any type of palms to visit this nursery.”
“I’ve been in San Marcos for 18 years now and almost every spring. I go over and look at all the new flowers and plants. I always buy something and also some fertilizer and soil for my garden and everybody there is very helpful and courteous. I enjoy shopping here and will continue to shop here.”
“A wonderful little nursery with absolutely gorgeous orchids and succulents! The guy working was very knowledgeable and their canine security definitely deserves some attention - definitely worth a stop!”
“I bought some orchids from Andy’s orchids in CA. They arrived in FL today and I received a call from them asking how the plants were.
AMAZING!
I was totally shocked when they said the fedex picture looked like the package might be sitting in the sun! They really care about their plants. We even talked about the care of the plants I ordered.”
“I want to give a big shoutout to Jen! She helped me with my order and picking out the best Neoregelia Vulcan x Black Knight! ? It came packaged well while shipped for nearly a week. Thank you!”
“Went there to buy seeds with zero knowledge. The staff were very helpful in educating me choosing the right seed for my garden and right season to plant them. I love how they spend time educating customers. Highly recommend this local place for those looking for plants and gardening stuff.”
“We cannot say enough positive things about Kate! She made our wedding an absolute fairytale with the florals. Absolutely outdid my Pinterest dreams, and without a doubt it would not have been the same without her. I barely had an idea of what I wanted when I came to her besides color palette, because I have no knowledge of flower types and every time I attempted to explain what I was thinking, she hit the nail on the head! She also had great suggestions to enhance my ideas and made it so unique. I cannot tell you how many people told me I had the best wedding florals they have ever seen, even people I barely know that saw photos on social media. Not to mention she is so sweet and so great to work with and we just love her!”
“I leased at Gardens of DeCordova and I had a great experience with the office team and I absolutely love my apartment. I have not had any maintenance issues but I have met the maintenance guy and he was very friendly. I highly recommend if you are looking for a great apartment with a great leasing experience come here.”
“Larkin at the Del Mar store made our day today! I often come with my 1 and 4 year old boys because they love Armstrong’s. It’s a free ladybug weekend and Larkin made sure they didn’t miss the “bug heroes” scavenger hunt or the fun trading cards of super bugs! She also helped them pick out a milkweed with monarch eggs on it and found my toddler some old pots to play with like a drum. It is so special to find employees who really understand and appreciate the magic of being a kid. This is why we’re such loyal customer even though I only have an 8X4 foot patio to grow plants!”
“Incredible selection with a very very knowledgeable staff that helped me pick (and avoid!) the plants that would work best for my soil type, location, and sun exposure. Felt like a plant consultation not just a plant shop. Even helped me transport my selections directly to my house. 10/10”

“The plant boutique st UTC is a fun kiosk filled with beautiful, contemporary house plants an succulens guaranteed to brighten your home. Eve the owner knows everything about plant care and is a wealth of knowledge. So, if you don’t have a green thumb no worries Eve will help you find the right plant for you.”
“What a great nursery. Nice staff! Huge array of plants and garden supplies. Lots to choose from Indoor, Succulents, Cacti, and Exotic species. Plant lover’s delight!”
“I went in today to pick up some parts I needed. I was assisted by Victor with a great attitude. He was doing a multitude of tasks however he still took the time to help me get the parts I needed. I definitely recommend and will back!”
“I had a positive experience at Armstrong! Imani and Hailey were incredibly helpful in selecting plants to replace the ones I was struggling to keep alive. They offered great tips on watering, fertilizers, and general plant care, which I really appreciated. They even offered their in-store replanting service for a small fee for my hanging planter. A very thoughtful service I was not previously aware of! The only downside is that the parking lot is a bit confusing, especially when the flower fields are in bloom. Otherwise, their knowledge, friendliness, and expertise made the visit a delight. Highly recommend stopping by this employee-owned company.”
“This guy is at the Thursday Oceanside Farmer's Market now! If you're wondering why his brick-and mortar store has poor hours, this is probably one of the reasons why. This business breathed new life into my opinion of farmers markets- in a world where buying local is now typically more expensive than going to chain grocery stores, the prices here are very modest. I am super happy! He had mini succulent gardens for 3$, hanging plants at 10$ each or 2 for 15. I found a bird nest fern for 15$, including taxes. There is a 50-cent credit card usage fee, and that's certainly reasonable. While I do look forward to shopping at his actual nurseries, I will happily make weekly pilgrimages to the Oceanside Farmer's Market to see what he has to sell.”
“First time here and I am positive that it would not be my last time. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Blaze. We asked to look at the trees, and within seconds Buddy came to pick us up in a golf cart. Buddy was patient and very knowledgeable. We knew NOTHING about plants, and he made it very easy for us to make a decision on which tree to get. There was a variety of trees to choose from. We went there with the intention to get one, but we ended up buying FIVE trees! The sale was great, and the more you buy, the more discount you get! I mean how could we resist?! The trees are all well maintained. It was phenomenal. Then we picked up some house plants with Blaze before we left. It was such a great deal. Got my dream fiddle fig plant for my living room for only $50. It would have cost me $80-100 at other local nurseries! I can't wait to come back and get more plants! Thank you Buddy and Blaze!”

“I always love picking up material at Martin. Remind me of my father-in-law, he was a mixer driver for Hanson. He is not with us anymore, but his legacy will live on forever! God bless Cass Covington! A driver in the true sense of the word!”

“Wonderful little nursery so densely packed with rare plants of all sorts—for incredibly reasonable prices as well. Look for the trays next to where Jeff sits for the rarest plants in the nursery. Would definitely visit again next time I'm in town”
