“I would like to give a heartfelt compliment to the Raley’s pharmacy team (1040 Emerald Bay Road, South Lake Tahoe), who helped my wife on February 20, 2026.
We were stranded in Tahoe during a severe storm, with all roads closed and no way to return home. As a Kaiser member, my wife did not have her prescribed medication with her, and there were no Kaiser pharmacies nearby, so we were very concerned about missing a dose.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of the pharmacy technician Diane (Operator #7012) and Dr. Ashley Einch, they went above and beyond to help us. They worked diligently to contact our Kaiser pharmacy and coordinate the transfer of the prescription to the Raley’s pharmacy. Despite multiple attempts and delays in the transfer process, they did not give up until everything was resolved.
Even more impressively, although we arrived close to closing time at around 7:45 PM, the pharmacy team still showed remarkable professionalism and excellence in patient care. They stayed past closing time to complete the prescription while continuing their closing procedures, ensuring everything was handled properly.
Their dedication made a stressful situation manageable for us, and truly makes a difference for patients and families.

“I was visiting SLT from the Bay area and had not brought enough medication for my dog. The pharmacist or technician (not sure which) was so helpful. I was worried because my senior dog is in hospice care and cries if not on her gabapentin. I called them and they said "No problem". My veterinarian technician than called CVS and I was able to get a one week supply of medications for Shady. Thanks again to whoever helped me as dealing with prescription situations while traveling can be tough.”

She's knowledgeable of the system, understood my insurance coverage and worked with me to make sure the prescription was approved by my insurance. She was also very patient, professional and kind while working through my coverage issue.

“I prefer this CVS location (Emerald Bay) compared to the Bijou or Stateline location. Staff is great. Entrance to the parking lot is shared with McDonald's, it looks nonexistent if you're not local. (Parking is easier here, actually)

“This to me is the best pharmacy in South Lake Tahoe. The personnel is always willing to help you. No matter the situation is they will answer the questions you have.
For those that say that they are difficult to work with or they take too long to dispense the medications, do you not realize it is not just up to them to dispense the medications. Multiple factors such as insurance, doctor prescriptions, supplies. So, get off your high horse and give these people a break.”
