“This store is awesome. The staff is super nice. I bought an item there that was defective and manager gave me refund. They have a great outdoor plant selection, and you cannot beat their prices on ceramic pots. I live in Carson City, but Bargain Market there does not compare to this store.”

“This place was featured on a YouTube channel we watch and they raved about the food. It did not disappoint! My husband's burrito was huge and he said it was excellent. I had one beef taco and one chicken taco...both were full of well seasoned meat, not fatty and very tasty. While our food was being prepared we browsed the Mexican market, which was very interesting. We will come back!”
“Has the best produce when stock is in... Serves the local population, and visitors (however most that come to South Lake Tahoe) usually head to Raley's or Safeway. Smart and Final has unique products by the company (1st Street)... Lots of bulk items, too.”
“We are lucky to even have a VERY small portion of an Asian selection in the "ethnic"grocery aisle. To have this store in a town as small as Tahoe is a god-send! I've purchase frozen Lumpia, Longnisa, Ube ice cream and Rabbit candy here... enough to curb my Filipino cravings until I visit family down the mountain. Don't hate on this small family owned business and don't expect to come to a small town and get Bay Area options, ya'lls.”

“I would like to give a heartfelt compliment to the Raley’s pharmacy team (1040 Emerald Bay Road, South Lake Tahoe), who helped my wife on February 20, 2026.
We were stranded in Tahoe during a severe storm, with all roads closed and no way to return home. As a Kaiser member, my wife did not have her prescribed medication with her, and there were no Kaiser pharmacies nearby, so we were very concerned about missing a dose.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of the pharmacy technician Diane (Operator #7012) and Dr. Ashley Einch, they went above and beyond to help us. They worked diligently to contact our Kaiser pharmacy and coordinate the transfer of the prescription to the Raley’s pharmacy. Despite multiple attempts and delays in the transfer process, they did not give up until everything was resolved.
Even more impressively, although we arrived close to closing time at around 7:45 PM, the pharmacy team still showed remarkable professionalism and excellence in patient care. They stayed past closing time to complete the prescription while continuing their closing procedures, ensuring everything was handled properly.
Their dedication made a stressful situation manageable for us, and truly makes a difference for patients and families.
Thank you again to both the pharmacist and Diane for your exceptional care and commitment.”

“After dinner, I dropped in with my partner for some groceries for breakfast the next morning. Got eggs, bread, orange juice, and champagne for a great price. We entered our rewards number which took off almost $12. The store was surprisingly busy for a Monday night at 8 o'clock however, there were several check stands open with short lines. Our cashier was friendly and chatted with us while speedily checking our items. The store was clean and the shelves were neat and stocked.”
