“Discovering Maxwell's Pet Bar about a year ago has been a game-changer for our 12-year-old dog, Simon. Thanks to Jen and Kristi's expert guidance, we found the perfect raw food combination that has literally turned back the clock for him. He's more playful, enjoys his walks more, and overall, seems much younger. The transformation has been incredible to witness. I can't recommend Maxwell's Pet Bar enough. If you're looking to improve your pet's health and happiness, this is the place to start!”

“Excellent coop spot with a great selection of specialty products, especially herbs and house made olive oil.Would highly recommend it if you're in the area and want to pick up something like dark chocolate cherries or a local red wine. Also, notably a better spot to get certain spices like whole nutmegs”

“We feel fortunate to have the Whole Foods Market at Stonestown so near us! We use the Amazon pickup counter for as many orders as we can. We love their cafe which has deelicious coffee -- esp. the hot Americano! And we find that with Prime discounts we save a pretty good amount of $$. But most of all, we love their staff -- esp. Kana in the Deli department who has gone above and beyond for us several times! We suddenly realized we have been shopping more and more at Whole Foods Stonestown, and are enjoying some very tasty quiche from their hot food bar for dinner tonight!”

“The variety and price of their produce never disappoints! From Gai Lan to Nopales, they’re worth a stop if you’re looking for harder to find produce. Staff are always happy to help and take requests for items to stock. Support your local grocers!”

“very pricey but has great healthy options for grab-and-go foods (sandwiches, wraps, sushi) and basic groceries and household essentials you might need! for the ease of access to brand-name groceries in the mission, it's a good spot to check out. the staff are also very friendly!”

“I love this grocery store. It's got everything, including a wonderful fresh fruit/vegetable section. It's the only place in the city that I've been able to find thai basil. Now that I've found this place, I'm never going back to the awful Safeway across the street.”

“Nice market, but I got fresh pasta and it was gummy and didn't enjoy it. Also didn't have some items like sweetened coconut flakes which I thought it was strange.”

“Came here the first time in a rush, and thought I knew what I wanted, but Sophie behind the desk understood my situation and recommended something even better. Then, I stopped by later on when I knew she was working and had a longer discussion about all the different lines of product they sell. Sophie was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, even down to specific batches. I have always loved TwisThis, but it's the people behind the counter that make this store such a gem of the Haight.”

“I’ve been shopping at this location for almost 10 years. I really appreciate that the produce is typically organic. You can tell from the produce sticker number starting with a 9…The staff is friendly and treats you like family! Thank you, Nabilas!”

“Clean and brightly lit vegetarian/vegan grocery store in the Sunset. I've never seen as large of a selection of vegetarian meat substitutes elsewhere. You know when you're walking in the aisles of a traditional Asian supermarket, like 99 Ranch or the 25th Ave supermarket, and the meat substitutes make up 1-1.5 freezers worth of goods, if that? They've got multiple freezers here, from chest freezers of bulk proteins, to smaller portions of both pre-seasoned and unflavored proteins. As far as I remember, they don't have more Western foods like "chick'n nuggets" or veggie burgers. The prices are super reasonable here too! A 1lb bag of mock beef ran me around 12 bucks and can be used to make around four stir fries or a large batch of stew. They've got so many options under ten bucks so that you can substitute your usual proteins with the vegan form without significantly altering your budget. The person working there is nice and helpful as well, and speaks English. I'm so happy that they're in this area because where else can you find such a well-stocked selection?! Now you can replicate your favorite dishes at home.”

“Has everything you need, open all day, managed by one of the most knowledgeable humans on the planet when it comes to health and nutrition. If you are having trouble finding a product, ask Heidi! She is an invaluable resource, and she even ships. Ask about the discount too! I moved away from the Bay Area and still order all my vitamins and supplements directly from her.”

“Love this place since it’s one of the only places in the Bay I can get Taiwanese-imported vegetarian ingredients. The frozen dumplings, zhongzi, and other homemade goods in the freezer are also always delicious. Hope this place stays open forever.”

“Staff at fish market are fantastic: friendly and helpful. Checkers are hit and miss: even with computerized cash registers, some of the young ones can't make the correct change if the least but challenged...sad.”

“Surprised at the wide gamut of reviews here on yelp-- overall a solid 4 stars when I came by the other day. The place was closed with a "will be back in 10 min" sign, which was not a big deal. Store itself was what you'd expect. Organized, clean, and staff was pretty helpful. Got the job done, no big complaints. Only real complaint would be lack of selection -- I'm used to going to vitamin places with wall to wall selection. This place is more focused in that there is 1-2 options for whatever you are looking for. Recommend this location. Staff is helpful, and location is good being on Market.”

“I first visited a Sprouts in Colorado. That memory encouraged to visit the one in California. I was a little disappointed as so many other grocery stores have now copied the Sprouts model. So it does not seem as special as my first visit.”

“Wednesday, 7/20/2022 1p.m. PDT GNC - GENERAL NUTRITION CENTER - Store #: 09586 Address: WESTLAKE CENTER 200 West Lake Center, Daly City, CA 94015 (Intersection of John Daly Blvd & Lake Merced Blvd.) T: (650) 992-8557 To be honest, I never noticed this GNC before today, as it is SANDWICHED between a major American Pharmacy Store & a National General Merchandise Store. I had to look for the store. Information Top Line of Receipt: 09586 001 028624 07/19/22 11:41 a.m. I needed to purchase four/five (4/5) Nutritional Support Items. I informed the GNC Sales Assoicate, my time was extremely limited: I needed his support to "round-up" all my items quickly. It would have taken my two and a half (2 1/2) longer, if I did not receive his "5 STAR CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE SERVICE. Thank you very much. The moment I walked into this Westlake Shopping Center, I was immediately greeted by the male manager (?) or GNC Sales Associate behind the cash register. He portrayed himself as a decent salesperson. I trusted him. Selling is quite a NOBLE PROFESSION to take on. I appreciate AUTHENIC SELLING - "sans manipulation." Just give me the straight facts, as to why, I should take your product advice and professional sales opinion. Several times, I asked for his recommendation, as to which product would be BEST for me to purchase. Because he had EARNED my CUSTOMER TRUST, I believed his recommendation. I must trust sometimes, if it has been earned. I am originally from a North/East state. Where I grew up the PACE was fast and furious. A person credibility and honesty were determined rapidly. They received a NERO'S THUMB'S UP OR DOWN. If my GUT THUMB went down, I removed myself from the situation. It has served me well. Tuesdays are quite a busy day for me, as I must run all my errands between 8:30am to 12:45pm. Unfortunately, I do not have the privilege of having a dedicated SF Parking Spot, so I must do SF STREET PARKING. If I do not get back by a certain time, all the available parking spots will be taken. I have had to at times park over ten (10) blocks from my place. Not fun, when I am dragging in a totally loaded shopping cart. All I can say in closing, is my "5 Star" experience GNC - GENERAL NUTRITION CENTER was excellent. I live in San Francisco, I am so glad, I took the time to drive down to Daly City. Thank you for taking the time to read this review.”

“I parked in my pal Goo Shooter's garage there on Harrison street and he and I walked over to the Whole Foods to get lunch, he tells me it's the best deli in the city. He goes on and on talkin about this and that, and all the different kinds of sandwiches he's had, then he starts telling me about all the different types of delicious meats, and just when I thought he was finished he starts telling me about all the workers and their specialties. He says if you this or that..wait for that person...but, if you want one of these...wait for this person. Who the heck has time for that, I said! When my turn popped up, I asked for two sandwichs, one with imported ham from Spain with mustard and mayo, and one with smoked turkey, and please make them Gluten free.
And, let me tell you...all I can say is WOW! 5 Stars ☆☆☆☆☆”

“One of my favorite grocery stores. However, I’m increasingly noticing some people bringing in the dogs inside the store, which really don’t appear to be “service dogs”. I think checking for whether a dog is service dog needs to be strictly enforced. I remember seeing one of my neighbours in the grocery store with their dog and I’m quite certain that it is not a service dog. Bottom Line: Management needs to strictly enforce “service dogs only” rule. If they don’t, it’s just a matter of time that it could become a health hazard for shoppers.”

“Very happy to have a market this great in our neighborhood. Sometimes the lines are long and sometimes the parking lot is full. That is the reality of having a great market in such a small square footage within a densely populated neighborhood. Shout out to the amazing cashiers who are fast efficient and charming.”

“Came in, got what I needed, left.
A little bit run down for a Whole Foods, but not bad for the area.
Hot food line/ fresh food looked terrible, but didn't go there for that.

It was better than our trip to Safeway and for that, I am grateful.”
