“George’ Showroom was a delight to visit. Beth completely understood that we wanted to create a bathroom that our 1924 home would like. And the fixtures she pointed us to are going to fit in perfectly! She couldn’t have made the process more pleasant, managing our selection from thinking stage, through order and delivery, with patience and professionalism. Great job, Beth. Thank you!”

“Frankly the best hardware store I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. They have EVERYTHING. Fans, leaf blowers, garden soil, fruit pickers, massive assortment of shovels and hoes, shelving, toilets, bidets, the biggest selection of screws and fasteners I have ever seen, and FROZEN RHUBARB PIES? I've never seen a store like this. Employees are incredibly helpful as well”

“Excellent, good old fashioned hardware store! Well stocked and staffed with employees that are actively looking to help the customers, not doing their best to avoid them like at the famous DIY stores. Got a key made for $1.50 that the big chains don't even carry! Thank you, Merritt's for holding out against the massive corporations!”

“This place is great, they have all the small parts and most importantly, they are respectful to women. It has the feel of an old-fashioned hardware store and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. I deeply appreciate as a woman, when I can walk into a store like this and I'm treated with equal respect. They always answer my questions, are very helpful, and they don't discount my extensive knowledge just because I'm a blonde female. Thank you for being awesome guys!”

“About 10 years ago I purchased 2 6' double sided step ladders. The price was fantastic and the quality was even better. This last winter I left my Werner 28' extension ladders outside of an A frame house in the mountains. When I got there in the late spring after the snow melt, I found that the weight had crushed them enough that there were cracks in the fiberglass at each rung making them unsafe. I knew where I wanted to buy my new ladders but being from Washington State makes it tough to just go get them. But I do travel down there so I waited until the next trip. I checked prices from the big warehouse companies(not sure if I can mention Dome Hepot or Slowe's) before I went there but because of the quality of my step ladders I felt very good about making the purchase regardless. I had the pleasure of meeting Brad who spent way more time with me than I expected. He was extremely knowledgeable and just as friendly. In the end I purchased 3 ladders that day and came back for a 4th on my way back north. Even with CA 10.75 sales tax the ladders were cheaper than the big places. That includes Oregon which doesn't have sales tax. I would have been ok paying more because you usually do for better quality. But I saved over 15% total buy shopping there! A fantastic group of very nice people with a product of the highest quality. I'll be looking forward to seeing them again on my next trip through. Darrin Jackson”

“MISSION West K & B (est 2005) is an opulent one-stop-shop kitchen and bath shop. It is a family owned and operated business located in South Pasadena. They supply customers with all of their plumbing, lighting, hardware, counter top and custom cabinetry. Their showroom emits class and elegance as evidence by the unique-creative designs of their products. I was on the market of upgrading my kitchen and bathroom and they seem to have the stuff that I might need. I have looked all over Pasadena and they are on the top of my list. Parking is abundant along Mission street. Overall, it’s a great kitchen and bathroom store.”

“I needed a sliding gate motor for a commercial property and after much research decided on getting the Calimet motor, which is based out of Los Angeles county and has made in America motors. I spoke with Denise who was extremely helpful from initial product selection, to configuration of the system, to checking the design with engineering and availability over her cell to answer any questions and procure additional parts I needed. I recommend these guys for all your gate motor needs. I found out they also carry all the wrought iron gate parts too. I recommend the store and their products.”

“A pleasure to come to this store. WAY better than Lowe's or Home Depot. Staff was very friendly and willing to help. Frances and the man with the glasses were very easy-going, professional, and took the time to help me find something as tedious as a rare stem valve in a sea of stem valves. Keep up the great work! Will def keep coming to this Ace because of the employees.”

“Working Maintenance at a company that has 13 forklifts, a scissor lift, snorkel, and a stacker. Suffice it to say, I needed a Good, reliable, competitive, hydraulic hose shop. After giving 3 or 4 other local shops a chance to win my business, Hose King is my hands-down, no hesitation, go-to shop for all things hydraulic hose related. They are speedy, well-stocked, and very competitively priced. Save yourself time, money, and a ton of frustration, by going to the budget-friendly professionals First.”

“This review is loooong overdue! Despite this Home Depot location in Pasadena not being as large as the Monrovia store, I always find everything I need. And back in December 2026, I received EXCEPTIONAL customer service when I went in to purchase a refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer. The representative that helped me is Marybeth, she was incredible!!! She literally took her time in explaining the pros and cons of the appliances I was considering purchasing. She never pressured me and was very professional and kind. It's odd, honestly, very odd now a days to receive such exceptional service. And just the other day I happen to go in again looking for some items in gardening and once again a young lady, I wish I had her name, took the time to help me, advised me on soil products I was considering purchasing and I was just taken aback by the fact that they've got some excellent employees there! This is true even for the electric department where I've had to frequent lately. As I stated early on this review should have been posted way back in December, and I just want to shout out MaryBeth and the store manager whose name is Cesar, if I recall correctly, a big thank you for your help and support.”

“I never knew this metal shop was here. I came with a friend to pick up some parts for his sliding gate at home. Most of the items I saw for sale were straight bars and not so many ornamental decorative pieces.”

“Marcus in the lumber department at Pasadena Ganahl Lumber provided truly outstanding service. He was courteous, thoughtful, and genuinely committed to helping—checking inventory, helping track down additional materials, and even proactively following up with me later in the week. That kind of care and professionalism makes a real difference. Marcus is a terrific representative of the store, and his approach makes me want to shop at Ganahl more often. I hope management recognizes what an asset he is to the team.”
