“Went in for my 2004 Yukon. replacing a “fuel tank pressure sensor “. The mechanic was in vacation I usually see there. These other two mechanics I’ve never seen there worked on my truck. (Yes i decided to stay). I can tell they were kinda new or idk but didn’t have a lot of experience with doing that job. The older gentleman was trying disconnect the hole connecting to the tank from the wrong side. Once he tried from the tip of the tank it came out on the first pull. Over all it did fix my problem. The mechanic that is the one I go to is on point with this type of truck ,don’t know his name sorry. Gave it a 4 start because it was nerve racking seeing these guys figuring the job out.And a after this service my truck would say on dashboard fuel cap is loose. Today it doesn’t send me that message.”

“I grew up in a shop, working on cars, motorcycles, and airplanes with my brother and father. My father would have us re-do anything that wasn't up HIS standard. I tell people this because the reason I have been going to Ara for years is that he is the only mechanic I have done repeated business with that has such a high standard for the quality of his work. I drive a 2011 Mini Cooper Clubman with a turbo and it runs better than when I bought it new. I really enjoy that I can drop by Ara's shop without notice when he's working on my car - we get to talk shop and he walks me through what he's doing and I'm always so happy to see someone doing a high quality and meticulous job that they're beaming with pride over. I can try and scrutinize his work as much as I want, but I always have to admit he does a better job than I could, even if my father made me re-do it three times, lol. If I have so much auto experience why do I take my car to a mechanic at all? It's a Mini Cooper, it's such pain in the ass to take apart - and Ara's got the patience, the talent, and most of all has the pride in his craft to do a perfect job every time I need to address a fix. “We purchased a 2010 Mini cooper through a private dealer and come to find out it was a lemon. We bought the car as is and we're unable to get any help with it. We took it to Mini or Monrovia and they quoted us 14K for a new engine rebuild. Double what we paid. We called Jim over at Macs and he said he could do it for half if that's what was even needed. It took a few months but we have our car back and we could not be more overjoyed with what he has done. Jim gave weekly updates and explained everything that he was doing. He said , " i quoted u that , so that is the price " ( 400.00 ) did look under hood , but said didn't need to start it , but pretty sure he had asked if it starts up ( beforehand he asked ) anyway, easy , fast transaction. I was screwed over by another company , few years ago. They had quoted about 250.00 or so. He only gave me 100.00 !!! Said some BS , about catalytic conv. or parts missing. Absolutely no parts were missing !!!! I was going to cancel , but i wanted car gone , becuz front neighbors were having a POD put there, to start packing large furniture items.”
