“I can always count on DIY Center to have exactly what I need whenever I’m in the area. Whether it’s a standard part or something a bit more specific, their inventory is consistently reliable, which saves me a ton of time.
As a contractor, I also really appreciate that they offer contractor discounts. It’s great to support a business that looks out for local professionals and helps keep our overhead down. Great service and even better selection, definitely my go-to stop in the neighborhood!”
“If you’re feeling overwhelmed by paint decisions, Asia is your girl!!
We recently purchased a home in Thousand Oaks and planned to repaint nearly the entire interior — bedrooms, bathrooms, cabinets, and built-ins — while working around existing elements like marble, travertine, and black granite. The scope alone felt daunting.
Having painted before, I know how dramatically lighting and undertones can affect the final result. I’ve tested endless samples in the past trying to get it right. This time, I wanted expert guidance — and Asia was invaluable.
She met with me at the paint store to understand my vision, then came to our home to evaluate colors in our actual lighting. Her eye for undertones and ability to tie new selections into existing finishes was impressive. She helped us confidently narrow each space down to two strong options, creating a cohesive plan that honored the home’s craftsmanship while making it feel fresh and current.
Now we have a beautifully updated home that truly feels like ours. Working with Asia saved me time, energy, and likely a lot of money in avoided mistakes. The consultation was absolutely worth it — I highly recommend her.”
“John in the hardware department took his time and was very friendly to help me find the correct washers and bolts for my diy project for my new home. Always will shop at Lowe’s Thousand Oaks!”
“Had a great experience here and now know that great people do work here.I'm working on a breakout panel for my back yard and often go to the electrical area to see if the parts I need are there. They might be but I'm not an electrician and the experience is more like going to the refrigerator over and over only to hope something wonderful has arrived, only to see us the same as 5 minutes ago To my Astonishment I was as approached by Tina, who did not look like a roughneck whatsoever and she asked, can I help you?Blown away, it's never like this at home Depot, you have to hunt someone down, I told her what I was trying to do and she immediately started pulling parts!Wow!I ended up thinking this was still above my head and she hooked me up with home depots network of professional services which I have a meeting with this week.Tremendous value from the observations of the part that employees only stock shelves and seal with customers only if they ask.Wonderful experience.”
“Cory L, which was a new hired employee seem to know more other than GREG. When I was asked, do you need help, sir by another individual who has been there for years he only showed me what I guess he wanted me to see. But however, he did not listen to me. Cory L. Came over and said sir is there anything I can help you with. After explaining to him what I needed, he did not only go through the complete process of how a customer should be treated. I don’t know him personally, but I do know the type of character as well as the moral fiber he is made of. He also helped me purchase as well as pushing the shopping cart to the checkout. And proceeded to go far and beyond any requirements of an employee. Also thanks to GREG, which has been there for years noticed it. However, if you have employees there for 2 or 3 years and they treat other customers like they treated me. What kind of review would you expect me to leave? COREY, L. Should be in a management supervisor or supervisor position. Because he is what made my experience at Home Depot worth coming back and spending the tens of thousands of dollars that I do yearly at your establishment. Truly, Robert Mirabilio.”
“I visited this establishment for the first time today. The service was excellent as well as the quality and timeliness of the repair. This is a very honest and fairly priced shop. I would absolutely recommend them in the future and I will return when I need additional service.”
“It's a convenient place to get home improvement products but usually not my first choice as it seems more expensive than a Home Depot or Lowe's. It is clean and almost posh, pleasant to browse through but obviously less selection and less staff.
The garden department, on a recent couple of visits, had a lot of their plants wilting from a lack of care and watering. Having said that I have been looking for a native grass plant named Karl Foerster feather reed grass for ages, stopping by without much luck at some garden centers and nurseries both locally and in northern california, as well as online.... it was not available to even be shipped to my address for some reason. All of sudden I see two 3 gallon specimens at this garden center, looking poorly but I took a chance and bought them both. After dividing and planting them...they're doing great.
What really prompted this review is that they have an impressive hardware isle, with bolts, and nuts of all sizes and styles. Certainly a larger selection than HD or Lowe's, which limit their nuts and bolts to 3/4 size. Here they had versions of 7/8, and up to an inch bolts or washers. After visiting other stores and guess ordering on Amazon...I was finally able to find the right 22mm nut with the right thread cut. It made me so happy. I was beaming.”
