“I bought a buttload of t-shirts $800 @ blankshirts.com and I spent more buying directly from Los Angeles Apparel and Royal Apparel many of the brands I bought @ blankshirts.com are not worth mentioning! After a year of use the Next Level shirts held up better and were my favorites than all the other manufacturers: Los Angeles Apparel, Bella & Canvas, Royal Apparel. Kudos to the person responsible for quality control at Next Level!”

“Good styles, affordable pricing. Literally every other store puts out blank jeans for 80-90 bucks, and here you get fancier designs with better pricings. Bought couple of full sets, and am very happy with them”

“I made a random stop at their Manhattan Beach store (just to window shop, really) and ended up scoring some caps at the bargain price of $4. I bought everything they had. (To giveaway and all...) Caught a movie across the way and thought I'd stop here to see if they had any and they did. Bought even more. I was with my Mom and found a few things she liked. We got in line to pay, and as always, cashier asked if I was making the purchase with my Old Navy card. I told them I didn't have one. She mentioned a promo and that I'd benefit whether I get approved or not. Eh, we had time. Why not. And it wasn't long before the whole thing was over: I was approved for so-and-so amount, so I asked her to charge everything on the card. I didn't realize how much I benefitted with applying: our $130+ purchase ended up going down to $50-something and change with the discount. Super score! So glad of the stop. I will be making more stops in the future for sure!”

“Had a purchase and return and the associate was very helpful and patient. My receipts were hard to sort through and she went through them patiently and did not appear to get annoyed. Great customer service . I didn't catch her name but her associate number was 002486. The other associate was also friendly. Would recommend this location.”

“Large Uniqlo with a very efficient checkout system able to handle large crowds. We came on Black Friday, and bought more of their popular men's jogger pants. They were $10 off, and most of the popular sizes were still available. As one would expect, there was a large crowd trying to checkout via one location. Uniqlo could teach other stores a thing or two about efficiency. First there is only one line, so don't have to worry about selecting a line. Second, there was an associate with a large sign indicating where the end of the line was exactly. Finally, once you got to the front of the line, if you were going to pay by credit card, you were directed to one of 6 self-checkout registers. Instead of scanning, you just toss all of your items into a small bin, and the register automatically scans everything at once. (Later I realized that each item had an RFID tag to allow you to do this). It was a little weird that it was this simple, giving you the almost feeling that you are being ripped off somehow. Nope, that's their process now and it certainly was welcomed on a day like Black Friday.”

“Cotton On Kids is not far from Cotton On, on the upper level near Macy's. Enter the mall by EMC / Brio Coastal Kitchen and take the escalator up. The front of the store is red and it literally just says KIDS. The "Cotton On" is in super fine print running up on the side of the K. I grew up on hand-me-downs and floor samples and I still never really buy clothes, but 2020 is my time to try something new. Having to procure a gift for a kid's birthday party, I decided to get some exercise and walk this mall rather than ordering stuff off Amazon or Target. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything worth buying from Macy's, Game Chest, Disney and Nordstrom's, and this store was my last stop before giving up and getting a gift card from Din Tai Fung nearby. There weren't any kids at this store, or anyone for that matter, which was perfect for someone like me who actually don't like kids. A gigantic VHS tape hung from the ceiling with the tape label "Rewind with Us." As a 80s/90s kid, this totally spoke to me, so I walked in and was thoroughly amused. There were t-shirts and hoodies with Snoop Dogg, Biggie, and Ice-T's smug mugs printed on them. I would have loved to wear these to school! I had so many questions though: Are little kids these days familiar with these fantastic rappers, enough to wear these hoodies out in public? Are parents bringing back these fine musical gems for their kids and expanding their vocabulary with colorful words? What a time to be alive! There were also Green Day, Guns n Roses, TNMT, FRIENDS, Metallica t-shirts sold, but Biggie would have been the one I picked out for my 12 year-old self. I ended up buying two pairs of leggings with floral prints, a Mickey Mouse t-shirt and another t-shirt with a leopard on it. Safe and boring but I don't want to be that adult being an adult bringing a case of beer for the guys, trying to be cool but end up totally not cool. These 4 items were all on sale and still rang up to $30+. A part of me was screaming inside: a case of Kona Brewing variety pack with 24 bottles is only $27 at Costco! The store was clean. All the t-shirts were folded nicely. Things that were supposed to be on hangers were nicely hung. They sold kids water bottles for $5 each and hair accessories were like $12 unless you buy 2 get the third free (kind of pricy). The sales rack was sparse but my understanding is that it's a part of a brand's image not to have a ton of stuff on sale. Fashion and the textiles industries are very wasteful when you consider the resources needed to turn cotton plants into clothing, and unsold items end up in landfills and a lot of clothing materials are not biodegradable. Anyway, shopping here was so much more pleasant than shopping at the mess that is at the department store not far away. I don't know anything about kids fashion but judging by its appearance, it seems like Cotton On Kids is cool. They don't do gift boxes or tissue paper but they offer gift receipts and brown paper bags. Cotton On Kids isn't cheap, which is a good thing because cheap clothes means sweatshops. It's 2020 and we really should care about the impact of things on the environment and care for each other. Say no to the exploitation of other human beings to save a few bucks!. This is why I can't shop at Amazon and thinking back, it's a good thing I wore a lot of second-hand stuff growing up. Still wish I had that Biggie hoodie back in the day though.”
