“THIS PLACE IS MAGICAL! I've been a customer and seller at The Curatorial Department for three years now and what Wendi has done to the store is frankly amazing. Like, the place lives up to its name, as every inch of what would be an ordinary storefront has been curated into a sensorial experience of some kind, worth stopping by just for itself.
And if you are shopping, the clothes are extraordinary. It's a little bit like a vintage dream closet, where absolutely amazing garments by beloved designers are collected by the dozens. Hundreds? Probably a thousand or two. Anyway, it's awesome to behold, a tour through decades of fashion where everything's for sale at judicious prices.
And fr, would my wife be rocking that Issey Miyake suit if we hadn't come in here that one day? The answer is no, and we'd be worse for it because she looks amazing.
Business-wise, I have found Wendi to be straightforward, honest, and no bullshit. She's just a pleasure deal with.”
“Love all the cat themed things!! The place does smell like cats but if you love cats and everything themed after them this is the place for you. The prices for some things are a bit high but most of the thrift stores around there are priced the same way. I bought a couple of things there and I love them all!”

I've seen the photos of the store, and I love that you have the BTTF pics in the store. So neat! Can't wait to actually meet you. I love watching your videos on YT, even though they aren't recent. Come back sometime when you can! Also is this really open 24 hours? I live far away and hope to hop on a plane (or delorean, but I don't own one?) to Studio City, and go to all the cool places from my fave TV shows and movies! I like to travel a lot so I could possibly come in the future. I have watched all 3 movies 3 times in my life. I got introduced to BTTF in September 2024 when I went to the Broadway production B4 I have even watched the movies. “I remembered this place far differently than how it is now. I actually thought it was going to close down. I stopped by since it was suggested to me by another antique store, and I’m glad I did! It’s back and better than ever! Highly recommend you stop by to travel back in time and see an amazing collection of tchotchke ,clothing, vintage classic toys, belts, any and all accessories! “this is the place. it feels like an upscale store, super clean, organized and when i went they were playing classical music :,) the pieces are so well taken care of, and everything was 50% off! then - i looked at the prices and they are so FAIR for the very upscale pieces they have. i found a $550 veronica beard sweater for 30 DOLLARS! it was definitely my win for the day. the two women who run the shop are so kind, friendly, and actually take the time to share what the shop is all about and where the proceeds go. will definitely be back!”
“The variety here is fabulous. But the store is so crowded with merchandise, it is hard to navigate. And it is definitely not handicapped friendly. I was overwhelmed before I got halfway through. But my sister found something to take on her cruise, and a friend found the perfect hat.”

“My two teenage grandson loved this place. So much so they wanted to go back. We went back Monday morning. The website said they open at 11, the sign on the door said they opened at 11. But it was 11:15 and they weren’t open. We went across the street and got something to eat while we waited but they still weren’t open at noon. I called the other locations that also said they opened at 11 but none answered their phones. My guess is they aren’t open on Mondays and they need to update their website and sign in the door. Other than that we will most definitely go again.”
