“Cool little market for Polynesian and Indians. Family owned I believe. We come here a lot when we have events and we need certain meat that they don't sell at other stores.”
“From the DELi here, we love the generous Salami sandwich on the Sourdough Roll, heavily delicious tri-tip sandwich on Dutch Crunch bread or Sourdough Roll, Hot Pastrami on French Roll, Tuna Melt. The sammys are stacked so perfectly they stay neat when eating despite being so full of meat & balanced w/ fresh toppings. We always enjoy the fruit bowls & chicken salad & plan to try that on a sandwich soon. Peroshkis available, outstanding chicken teriyaki & rice w/ broccoli & carrots, soups or a nice hearty chili, some Korean specialties, ice cream, Torani snow cones, fresh meats & sausages to cook at home, & to go green garden salads & various salads.

They're all superbly tasty, regular, hot, cherry-pineapple bbq sauce, reminds me of the custom sauces you get around town at the local fam bbq spots
The longtime family owned DELi inside has great fresh food options & He often closes the DELi counter around 5:30 weekdays 2:30 Sat, closed Sunday, located inside the market to Right 🥪🫶🌁 The sandwich shop side has been going since the 50s and has had the same owner over ~20yrs, he's great! Nicely remodeled as well, busy stop for workers at lunchtime or a take-home bite after the workday.

“We were told about this market about seven years ago by a resident of Castro Valley. We have gone back many times.We frequent them for their meat market (absolutely wonderful).They have a unique blend of “speciality items”. As a trained Chef, I enjoy going there to purchase any speciality items I might desire.I must be honest, I don’t shop there on a regular basis. I do shop there when I am preparing for a dinner party. I do go there when I desire a wonderful cut of beef, Lamb or Pork.An example is three years ago, I desired a Prime Rib Roast. I desire a specific cut of meat… and a cut that might have been different from what I could get from the local markets.I stopped at Al’s, spoke to one of the butchers, explained what I desired, how it was going to be prepared.I paid for my order and two weeks later, picked up my purchase. I must say, it was one of the better cuts of beef I ever had purchased. Our guests for dinner raved. Generally, In order to prepare great food, one must have great ingredients.Is Al’s market cheap? Nope.If I want cheap, I’ll go to Walmart and make do.Does Al’s market meet a need? Yep, they do.Try them, I’m certain you will love them.”

“The pâté is smooth, fragrant and delicious. There is a layer of fatty gel on top which makes it even more delicious. I spread it on French baguette and sprinkled a little salt and pepper, added a cup of hot black coffee and had a delicious breakfast! I hope Fabriques Délices will keep the flavor of this pâté with chicken liver and truffle forever. I also like the convenient small packaging, enough for 2 people.”
“Angus the Butcher have a great selection of products. They have great cuts of meat, and they have both marinated and unmarinated options. There are also a wide selection of in-house prepared meals, banchan/side dishes, as well as Korean pantry items as well. Also everyone I have encountered working there are very friendly and helpful.”

“I just picked up their truffle mousse pate at Costco (SF one in SOMA) and it is delicious!! It's topped with aspic, which might not be everyone's thing but you can flip it upside down to avoid eating it. Two 7 oz. containers for $12! Perfect for my charcuterie board and allows me to have my daily dosage of truffle without feeling guilty!! Nom non nom :)”

They give you dock door. It can be very tight with other trucks. Just take your time. They did accept us 2 hours early.

“Every Christmas holiday I have had their dried beef. It is the best that is out there. They use high quality beef and flavor it wonderfully. My favorite is the spicy,hot beef jerky that is flavored with oyster sauce. It's a real treat whenever we have it, and Christmas just isn't Christmas without it.”

“Ok big dawg here's another one. So I got carnitas and lengua tacos. They were delicious and tasty. The lengua had the right seasoning and flavor as well as the carnitas. My only complaint would be give extra salsa to go and make sure the limes are not tough as rocks.. no juice came out of them.The service was great and fast, the workers are in sync and put out orders sufficiently. The music was not extremely loud and annoying. I would definitely return”

“Love this little local spot for both the market and carnicerÃa. I can pick up carne asada steak, chicken, marinaded taco meat, ribs and much more from the butcher. The grocery market is good too because you can also buy bread, canned goods, tortillas etc... it's basically a little local market. The people working the cash register and at the butcher are always very nice.”
“786 Market is my go-to place for halal meat because the quality is consistently outstanding. They have some of the best hand-slaughtered halal meat, including excellent steaks, chicken, and a great variety of fresh cuts. You can really tell they take pride in the quality of their products.

“This is my family's favorite store. It has all authentic Asian food. I stock up on some things here because my city doesn't have a good place to get seasonings and some fruits or veggies. They also have a meat counter you can get fresh twice cooked pork glazed. You can get whole cooked duck or full pigs for special occasions. Very clean and organized.”
“The cashier / owner today was the absolute kindest! It was my first time in a Middle Eastern store today (2/10/25) and he was so helpful showing me the best tahini and rice brands, and anything else I needed. Best experience I’ve ever had in a grocery store!

“An indian store that has all groceries and staples that one needs. The price is reasonable, and produce is stocked fresh everyday. They have seasonal produce as well, like amla, neem leaves.
Super appreciative that they also carry south indian super foods like millets, paruthi paal (cotton seed milk mix).
Basically a one stop shop for all our needs.”
