“My husband fell in love with an otter in 1968. That otter imprinted on his soul, fast-forward, what do you get the man who has everything for his 85th birthday you ask? You get him an encounter to swim with otters. Not only was the encounter with the otters, one of the most unforgettable experiences, being able to have these beautiful loving creatures snuggling in your neck and being able to stroke and swim with them, the staff was so knowledgeable and you could tell how much they loved their job and caring for these animals. I cannot say enough about how beautiful the facility is, it’s nestled in the wild and the facility is incredibly clean and pristine. All the caretakers and Wendy, who is one of the owners are all warm, engaging and have such an abundance of knowledge. During the encounter we were able to feed and handle many other types of exotic animals, capybaras, armadillos, and be very up close in personal with Chloe, the sloth, Quilliam The porcupine and his girlfriend, and view some very active lemurs and some beautiful tiny foxes. The joy that this facility gives to anyone who enters it is worth every single penny. Plus, your entrance fee also goes towards helping children in the make a wish foundation be able to experience this magical place so don’t hesitate, it has to be one of the best gifts ever and it uplifts the soul at the same time.”

“TCL K9 is a wonderful organization that really cares about their animals! After losing our pet dog of 14 years, we were hesitant to take on the responsibility of another pet. We found TLC K9 and decided to adopt again. We saw from the start the care they take in finding the right fit for their pets. We found them, identified a potential pet for adopting and then went through a rigorous process to make sure the pup was a good fit for us. I can say wholeheartedly that our new pet is just wonderful and already allowing to formally enter her pack! If you want to adopt a well cared for pet from an organization that cares, take a look at TLC K9!”

“I have had the pleasure of working with the Escondido Chamber of Commerce for about a year and a half now. Working for a small company putting ourselves out there in the community is so important. But knowing that you have the opportunity to be a part of something great and long standing in the community is so powerful. You won't meet a kinder, more supportive cheer squad than the chamber! They genuinely want business in this community to thrive and know that we are all in this together. JOIN THE CHAMBER!”

“The experience was ok but was not happy that they ran out of jalapeños. My popcorn just doesn't taste good without jalapeños. Don't see why the manager didnt just go next door to Smart and Final and get a couple of giant cans of 'peńos so we could all be happy.”

The ring is a white gold band with an inscription of my parents initials and wedding date inside: "MCF CJF 12/26/59". If found - PLEASE add a message here and I will message you back. The family is heartbroken it is gone. Thank you, Brian (Cliff's son) ALSO: Oak Hill staff are caring, helpful, organized, clean and comfortable. Everyone were very authentic and caring during a difficult time. Highly recommend.”

“This was great! We say a variety show. The stage and seating were not a problem. We had 3 handicapped people with us using walkers, they took us straight up to our seats on an elevator. I'm going to continue to go to shows here. It was wonderful.”

“What a fantastic Goodwill Outlet! When I travel for work I love visiting the outlets in the area, and this one did not disappoint. The best part are the employees. They are so nice and very helpful.

You definitely want to get there early to secure parking, as it gets full quickly.

There is no need to get in line for entrance. About 10 minutes before opening they pass out raffle tickets to everyone. At opening, they draw the tickets and that's the order you are let in.

If you are one of the first in, head left, grab a cart and go into that room by the carts with big boxes and bins. Try to secure a large tall plastic bin or large cardboard box because the first customers to get to those can dig through, while no one else is allowed until they're done. They toss their unwanted items into a shallower/lower bin that anyone can go through, though really only one, max two people can fit to look through.

If you love spending a few hours looking for treasures, you'll absolutely find them here. This is a great store and I can't wait to return.”

“The prices have gotten out of control! These items are donated, correct? With prices so high, no one buys it and then the items just sit there forever because they are not properly priced to move! It’s being ran more like an antique store or a consignment shop? I used to go in at least once a week or so! However , I don’t go but maybe once a month or every other month, because not much has changed when I go in, lots of the same stuff is still there at the same price! Maybe have sales on the things that have been there for awhile? You’ll make some money at least and the stuff will move out making room for the new stuff! The ladies there are nice though!”

“I LOVE THIS PLACE! Mountain Shadows provides their Residential, Day Program and Outreach Support services in the best possible way! This is a challenging environment in every way; and yet the management team has managed to provide the best living and programing available for this population. Staff here are amazing every day, giving so much more than their pay reflects. Thank you! Mountain Shadows is a premier non-profit caring for individuals with severe disabilities; no easy task on limited state funding! The 29th ANNUAL GOLF fundraiser just concluded and was another great success; thanks to a dedicated team which plans this event. All funds generated from fundraisers, donations and planned giving go directly to support Mountain Shadows clients! I'm so lucky to be a small part of such a wonderful place! Thank you!!!”
